I've had better 3D experiences but it rather did the job. As to the price, you don't HAVE TO buy popcorn, which would do good to your health and the smell in the theatre, by the way. And the ticket price is quite in line with London or Paris. I could have missed subtitles if it hadn't been an action movie... So after all a reasonably good experience in ov, which I thought had vanished in Frankfurt since the American theatre has closed a few years back.

Although it's definitely not the best movie theatre in Frankfurt, it does the trick for being soo close to the downtown area. If you don't understand German though, beware that all the movies are translated and there's noway for you to understand the film. I know it feels kinda awkward to see the Hangover in German, but surprisingly it was still hilariously funny!

Pluspunkte…read moreim Vergleich zu den genannten Alternativen in den E-Kinos: - Hygiene: keine klebrigen Böden; auf die Sitze kann man sich auch setzen ohne einen Kaugummi am Mantel zu haben, die Toiletten sind okay und scheinen sauber, aber investitionsbedürftig, um auf den neuesten Stand der Technik zu kommen. - Freundlichkeit: Das Personal ist freundlich und der Service persönlich, weiter so! - Angebot: Es gibt noch richtige Coca Cola und kein Pepsi, für mich ein klarer Pluspunkt. - Die Preise für die Karten sind geringfügig günstiger - Der Kinosaal ist kleiner, aber insgesamt hat es was Uriges und man braucht keine Brille, wenn man ganz hinten sitzt. Ebenfalls bekommt man keine Genickstarre ganz vorne. Fazit: Um die Konkurrenz für die Cinestars dieser Welt zu erhalten, in der Hoffnung die investieren auch mal in ihre Dependancen, besuche ich gerne weiterhin die E-Kinos!

Vor über einem Jahr kauften wir einen 10-er Gutschein, der auf Dauer auf jeden Fall günstiger ist,…read moreals die (ohnehin nicht teuren) Normaltickets. Der Grund war allerdings, daß wir uns gerne Filme im Originalton anschauen, der Turmpalast zu der Zeit gerade schloß (was uns auch nicht sonderlich Leid tat), und wir kein anderes Kino kannten, welches in dem Raum OV-Titel zeigte. Leider ist das Angebot der Englisch-sprachigen Titel seitdem nicht berauschend, weswegen wir in der ganzen Zeit nur 2-mal dort ins Kino gingen (das Metropolis in der Innenstadt bieten mittlerweile mehr Filme in Originalvertonung an). Leinwand und Sitze sind mittelmäßig, was unsere Kinder jedoch nicht weiter störte. Trotzdem ist es ein gemütliches kleines Kino, und wenn man einen Parkplatz in Bornheim findet (U-Bahn hällt zumindest direkt vorm Kino), ist es gerade als kleines, unkompliziertes Familienkino ohne lange Wartezeiten zu empfehlen.
