Most of the fruit is fresh, but sometimes over ripe. You can't beat their specials. I always try to stop in here when I'm passing by.

Has gone downhill since ownership change. It's a misfit market for produce basically. The quality is not as good, often finding mold on products. Cashier is very rude and takes her frustrations out on customers. Telling them to never come to her line again, calling them entitled, throwing food into bags with force, and continuing attitude with simply trying to use the card reader. Small store, that used to be fun to shop at, but not anymore. The deals are no longer as good, I can get products at Aldi for near the same prices. For better customer service, I will spend the extra. It's a shame, but it's time to move on. read more

I got that entire over stuffed bag of produce for 15 bucks. This is my go to spot for produce. They also have some little gems sprinkled throughout the store like cheeses, eggs, local cider. The store is always clean well stocked. The staff are helpful. Despite the extremely long lines on the weekend, staff always get us through quickly. read more

Me and my fiance will never return to Ciolino Fruit & Vegetable Market in temperance Michigan again it's the only place we go for our fruit and veggies & honestly over the last 9 months they're quality has been dramatically deteriorating but what transpired recently sealed the deal, we had salads this week and ended up with Cyclosporiasis which is the foodborne illness going around Michigan right now so one of the farms they got their, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, or cucumbers from got us sick. I am so tired of paying to get sick. read more

Great farmers market/market! I couldn't believe the choices of produce, this place is loaded with anything you could need be it American or Ethnic. We walked down all of the aisles and could have bought so much more. There were people restocking things throughout the store and the cashier we had was very nice. There is plenty of parking. Loved this place when we were in Michigan. We are now in the South where you would think they would have something like this but don't. Man, you could go in there in winter n still see your breathe n be able to buy apples m all sorts of fruit n vegys! LOL Just Amazing! And they had good prices! Not sure if they still do. The fruit n vegys weren't always the greatest looking but it sure helped us to be able to eat a better fully raw vegan diet! We couldn't have done it with out these guys and Meijers with their salads with pecans n fruit and the cut up watermelon n fruits. Between the two it was really awesome! I miss it! Someone told me about this place last year so I started following them on fb. Today I saw they had a deal on sweet corn and decided to venture out there. I have lived in Toledo since 2003 but still am not to familiar with certain areas. It seems a little out there...I really have no idea where I was I used google maps but I am so glad I did! I got an entire grocery cart of good looking produce for $27! They had the best looking canning tomatoes, I got about TWENTY ears of sweet corn for $1, 10# of apples for $6. I really loved this little market. I came with with my sister in law a week or two. I plan on coming back because the day I came I had a headache and couldn't properly concentrate. That had EVERYTHING. All fresh. Great prices. Even the extremely long lines went very fast, and I'm not a patient person so that day a lot. I brought my service dog with me and I wasn't given any problems about it. Because you know, older people tend to think that just because you're young and walking that you don't have problems. So that was a really nice 5 minutes of my life that I got to keep. I can't wait to come back because it really seemed like they had everything I could want. We really appreciate this market, especially in the summer with their great sweetcorn deals, and the many specials through the year that just can't be beat. But I will say that it can be disappointing that we follow their daily specials so we can plan a trip that will be worthwhile (we live almost 30 miles from this market), especially with today's gas prices, only to arrive and not be able to purchase many, if any, of the sale items that we came for. More times than not we arrive to see signs up saying that there was an "ad mistake" and prices are higher, or that the produce available for that day's special is out of stock, even though they still have stock. I have asked workers there about this policy and have been told that they keep the special going until the produce that was purchased at a good price runs out, that they may still have some in stock but it was purchased at a higher price. I can accept that. What I have issue with is to arrive at the store and they are sold out of a special, only to see it advertised at the same price the next day. I know that this is less of an issue of being out of stock and more of an issue of holding back produce to have available to list as a special the next day so they can draw more customers into the market. To see an item sold out one day, only to be advertised on sale the next day in an e-mail sent only moments after the market closed the day before....all I ask is to be considerate to customers like us that make a special trip to your market. Is it too much to ask that you honor advertised sale prices through the end of the day when you have sale items in stock? read more

However, with that in mind, the produce tends to perish more quickly than fruits and vegetables purchased elsewhere. Beware of one of the owners, as he is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have witnessed him arguing with customers and reprimanding employees on the sales floor. Totally unacceptable, but the cheap deals keep me returning. Best place ever to get fruits and veggies for a great price. Usually visit at least once a week. Can walk out with fruits and veggies for the week for under $20. They usually have bell peppers 3 or 4 for $1, grape tomatoes for $1/pint or less. Beware though, it gets very busy after work and on the weekends. read more

I cannot express how great Ciolinos has been to me! As someone who eats only fruits and vegetables you can imagine how steep my grocery bill was at Kroger or Walmart before coming to Ciolinos. This place is hands down the BEST place to get produce that I've ever been, and high quality too! They usually have deals on cases so I come about once a week to get all of my food for the week and usually spend less than $40! Ciolinos has made eating healthy so easy and CHEAP :) We are truly lucky to have such a great produce market in our midst. read more

Check your produce carefully. Lots of mold in the berries. I've had to throw away a ton of produce purchased there. They also do not have a public bathroom. They also do not have a sink for the public to use. This is a store with a lot of people going through it an long lines. The "boss" is extremely rude and unhelpful when you ask him questions. read more

Does not mean the food is bad, it just has to be used sooner than later. I don't ever buy produce if I know I won't use it within 3-4 days, whether it is from Kroger or Ciolinos.
