This is a local family-owned grocery store. The prices are a little bit on the higher side so it's not a place that I will go and do all my grocery shopping but to go pick up a few items here and there this is a great find. Their produce is usually pretty good and they have quality lunch meats. Shout out to Dietz meats. I don't get a chance to go to this location very often but they do host some events in the greenhouse in the back that I've been to and they are always well attended and the staff are great. Just recently they had a sip and stroll event with wine tasting beer tasting and food for 25 bucks. That is a steal. You can't go to any all you can drink eat event for 25 bucks nowadays and quality wine and craft beer. If I lived closer I definitely would go here more often but still a good spot to stop in if you need an item or two. read more

When I miss The Andersons, this is where I go. Great produce often with specials. They have a deli area as well as outdoor plants. Always friendly help and service. Just about everything you used to find at the other place just a smaller scale. read more

I'm always all for supporting and shopping/eating local when possible. This has always been one of my favorite stores in town. They have a great selection of items and the prices are great. Now with new owners and a freshly renovated store they are even better. They have great new additions like a butcher and bakery that makes breads and desserts. Can't rave enough about this place and I'm glad I live close to it. read more

Monette's has really good kielbasa. I have not been able to find blueberry sausage like theirs anywhere else. It's soooooo delicious.

John was just saying what many others think but these days there's no such thing as free expression. Too bad his family didn't back or support him. I asked Monnette's to make up a meat/cheese tray for family/friends to partake in while at a funeral showing. I also ordered crackers, cookies and fruit. They cut the meat to fit the crackers and supplied grapes as the fruit so it was easy to eat for people who were dressed up. They even took an orange pepper and filled it with a very good mustard and put in the center of the tray. Dave from the Deli Dept. took my order and was most helpful. He looked into to all of my questions and got back to me with helpful information and pricing. Kudos to Dave! read more

I love Monette's! The variety of fresh produce has no limits! And the prices are great. Big variety of items in the deli section. They always have some sale or another on different items. Best prices I've seen so far compared to other delis. Their customer service skills are lacking though. Staff is not all that helpful nor are they cheerful, especially in the deli section. For the most part everything is fresh. But they don't always have produce in stock. read more

On a hunt for purple sweet potatoes, I am lead to Monnette's Market. My daughter wanted to make a purple sweet potato pie so we had to get purple sweet potatoes. I call around and we were excited to find out that Monnette's did indeed carry them. We get in the car and head to our destination. As we walked through the door I instantly knew I would be back. I just love farmers market and this one was quite nice. Not only did they have a nice produce department, they also had a very nice selection of craft beer and wine. Nice! We did find our purple potatoes, however when we got home and really looked at them they were not purple sweet potatoes, but just purple potatoes. That was my fault. It was an exhausting day and I just grabbed a purple potato. ‍ BTW The purple potatoes made a delicious Sweet Purple Potato Pie! We will still return to get the right potatoes next time. Monnette's also has a deli, bulk items, and a large selection of specialty foods. read more

Although very convenient in proximity from work to home , the service that I received yesterday was horrible. I mainly went into the store to obtain the "Cotton Candy Grapes " , I didn't see any out in the produce department, therefore I asked a worker there he rudely told me they where out. No suggestion of possibly when they would be back in stock. As I provided the cashier with my credit card for my bill, she asked me if I had my driver license, I told her that I could go to my car and get it, she the asked what is my name and expiration date that is on the card, I provided it. Then I asked her if that was Monnette's policy to do that? She said yes and if you ever are not asked please bring it to our attention. I almost laughed and told her that I would never come back in to their establishment. As a Westgate resident I have other more professional, friendly and courteous five star markets that I can spend my hard earned tax paying money on. I live near Washington DC now and this is the type of place I wish I could find there. It's impossible! No where else can I find good produce and meats, courteous and helpful staff, and great prices! If I could find somewhere in DC with food this good and people who are this knowledgeable, their noses would be so far in the air it would be $2 per artisan, hand crafted, free-range potato. I live in walking distance of this place and it is one of my favorite places to shop. Produce selection is great and varies seasonally, and the beer/wine sales are wonderful! Lots of choices, especially with craft beers. Can't beat the prices, either. I'm vegan so I have no experience with the deli, but there is always a line so it must be good! Staff is sometimes a bit aloof, but never rude. I always make sure to stop in regularly. read more

This is a wonderful place to go to! All of the items in the store are very fresh. The store itself is clean and well organized and stocked. Staff is friendly and quick to help. I often will go a few times a year when I see they are getting rid of a selection of wines for a cheaper price. 5 stars for the best produce variety in town! Great prices...make sure you choose well, as with most FIFO merchandise the oldest is pushed forward. A lot of times there will be mold or rotten fruit so be careful! If you can get to the fresh produce it will stay longer than any other produce in town. The deli really isn't anything remarkable, but I disagree with the other yelper who said the deli customer service is lacking. In my opinion that's the only place to find good service there. In all fairness, it looks like there's mostly high school and college kids working outside the deli, and I'm almost positive I've never actually seen a manager or boss in the building (and I visit multiple times a week) but hey, good for them that they can manage their business like this! Monette's the best deli prices in town .I go there 2 or 3 times a week the only problem I have there is the manager Jasmine that works behind the deli counter . She's very attractive and is very rude. It is almost like she feels she's too good to be waiting on you. Jasmine grow up.
