We went down the street to Ciolino and got apples for 1/10th price and none of the labor. Pumpkins were reasonable at .40 cents a pound. Overall, it's a huge property with plenty of things to do- for me it was just much more expensive than other local orchards and pumpkin patches

We loved all the activity and action ... not the least of which was the variety of produce. Many Farmer's Market's fall into the trap of selling tons of merchandise that isn't related to farmers ... such as candles, cute wooden signs, cheap jewelry, and other such tchotchkes. This one didn't ... it had a focus on fresh fruits and vegetables. As you might imagine, a Farmer's Market in a mostly residential area brings parking problems ... but don't give up. Wonderful people, great selection, nice prices. Next time we're in Ann Arbor on a Saturday, we'll be sure to stop.

There is a welcome center, but the map on the welcome center is not very helpful. It does give you where area restaurants are located, and some stores, but within the sheds themselves, you really have no idea of who's going to be found where. We wandered through a few, and saw lots of veggie and other produce dealers, flower stands, some bakery, and some crafts/jewelry. Given that we were from out of town, the produce was not of interest to us. However, if we had known where to find all the craft stalls or bakeries that would've been helpful. Luckily, we walked to this area from our condo, and didn't have to deal with the insane parking. It was interesting and a fun way to kill some time.
