Secondly bathrooms are not a right they are a privilege. When someone has abused this privilege we as employees leads or managers may shut these bathrooms down for any given period we see fit. There are times when we must control the flow of traffic within the store as well during even on our busiest days sometimes these days these bathrooms will be closed so we can control the flow of traffic. For example if an arvo AmPm is located one block from a major high school some times after school the bathrooms may be closed to control the flow of students and customers coming in and out of the store​. Thirdly if you are going to complain about being charged 35 cents in debt card charges to buy gas or food maybe you should not be driving or eating what your complaining about. . I've seen so many homeless people come in with change and never complain but the privileged with debit cards or credit cards and cars that can afford their vehicles or gas are the first people to complain about charges. Great prices if it's available!…read more Safeway American Canyon consistently has some of the lowest gas prices in the area. Located on highway 29, it gets quit a bit of traffic. Per usual, they have a cash or credit card option, with cash being 10 cents per gallon cheaper. I usually pay with a debit card to get the best deal. If you shop at Safeway you can use your rewards to get an additional 10 cents off per gallon. They've been known to run out of gas, so I suggest going early if at all possible. It is usually crowded in the evenings when people get off work.

Upon entering the store I was approaching the counter, I was met with a negative attitude from Karen. She spoke to me in a rude tone and appeared irritated without any clear reason. When I asked a question she responded dismissively and did not provide helpful or courteous service. This is the second time I have experienced unprofessional behavior from this employee.

Also, there's some gas stations up ahead in American Canyon. Meanwhile, I went inside to get a drink. The clerk was cool and friendly. Parking near the foodmart was a little hard because of the folks going to McDonalds. Also, the drive-thru line stretched into the lot. In general, I had a fair experience at this Chevron station. I…read morewas on my way to Fairfield so I didn't have the cycle back and go to Richmond and then come back through where I was in San Pablo on up to Fairfield. But when in line, I noticed that the line was not progressing very well and took a long time. It took me a while to realize that that was because there were only two pumps in each lane instead of three. I don't know why they didn't get the memo, but that third pump is a game changer. They need to have this year because those lines were lasting so long. Another issue is that the vehicle behind me was a truck with the camper trailer. When it was done, it could not go around me because it was so big. Another issue would've been have they gone to the first prompt where I was and then no one would've been able to use the second pump. so having a third pump is really good thing and I have no idea why they didn't do that. But the oil was what it was as expected and I got a good price for it so I was happy about that. So, this would not be my first place to come by because of the pump action and the fact that is very slow. But if I needed gas and was in the area, I may consider stopping by. But I know that if I had enough gas in my car, I just go to Richmond and fill up my tank.

I've noticed that coming to this Costco during the week is usually the best time because there aren't many lines and it's not nearly as busy. The weekends can definitely be a different story, though, so be prepared for a crowd if you come on a Saturday or Sunday! The employees at the entrance who scan your membership card are usually friendly, and the employees at the registers are always nice as well. Checkout was quick, and I was able to grab my stuff and be on my way without any problems. I've never really had a bad experience at this Costco. Whenever I need something in bulk, this is always one of my go-to places. They also have a nice food court! The food court line can get pretty busy, though, so if you're planning on grabbing something to eat after shopping, be prepared to wait a little bit. Overall, another easy Costco trip. Got what I needed, had good customer service, and was in and out!
