Anyone who lives in this part of the parish knows about this hidden gem. The Blue Store opened up…read moredown the street in the old Dominoes location just to get some of their business. But seriously, spicy fried chicken and western style fries any time of the friggin day or night. The chicken is actually pretty damn good. I believe Seth Rogen said one of his favorites of New Orleans was Brother's chicken. No joke. I live within spitting distance of this place and come here often not just to gas up but to get a 3 piece chicken tender with fries for ~$6 or a 3 piece mix with fries for about the same price. If you go in here almost any time of day or night, there's a small line. On Sundays after church let's out you'll see people walking out of there with 25 piece boxes. And it's non-stop. They also have kabob's, meat pies and other good stuff. If they're out of something, they'll make it up fresh for you. Plus it's a fully stocked mini-mart and liquor store. You can get your fill on junk food, beer, liquor, smokes and everything bad for you all in one small place. The family that owns this place is from El Salvador so they stock a lot of chips and snacks from their native country. I buy all of it as I love to try new things. They have a cooler with Mexican cokes right next to the case of Mad Dog 2020's. They have soda for 99 cents any size, icee's, and a walk in cooler for beer. Not being from here, a colleague explained to me that the local gas station almost everywhere in Louisiana always has good food. It's a place where people would go to congregate and get the local gossip and news, before the internet and even mobile phones, it makes sense. Even after the advent of modern conveniences of you reading this review on your phone in the car, going to a gas station to get food is what we do here. Other places may be not so, but here, some of the best food are in the least likely of places like a gas station, read some of my other reviews of other gas stations of similar faire. So if you're in the area and you want some good fried chicken and you can't get into the tiny parking lot at Blue Store, and you're tried of Popeye's, or it's late at night and you don't want to go to Louies or Waffle House, you've just gotten out of the bar and you've got the munchies come here, you won't be let down.

It is the perfect way to virtually travel to SK and as a former world traveler, I was blown away by how authentic this place was. From the kimbap expertly wrapped in triangle-shaped plastic to the adorable photo booth that offers visitors a chance to take silly photos with props and special effects, Seoul Stop reminded me so much of my time in Korea. The tuna kimbap was spicy and rich while the bulgogi kimbap featured sweet and savory beef enveloped in soft pillowy rice. We also enjoyed the wide variety of Korean snacks, with our favorites being the BBQ drumstick chips and the chocolate Pepero. The green onion popcorn was also surprisingly addictive and turned out to be the perfect movie-watching snack. Seoul Stop also has a few fresh dessert items like red bean buns, ice creams, and assorted cake slices. There's also quite a few pantry staples like gochujang and kimchi plus lots and lots of ramen! 10/10 If you're in BR looking for a unique experience, I highly recommend Seoul Stop. Service was super friendly and I'll definitely be back to stock up on more snacks!

They have a very large menu with all kinds of good options like poboys, fried chicken, biscuits and several different sides. The chicken is always amazing especially when it's fresh. The guy cooking is always friendly and fast with the service and always clean. Plus it's a one stop shop, you can get pretty much anything you from this store. And they also do breakfast! I would definitely refer this place for a quick hot and fresh lunch!

I have, however, never tried the Old Hammond location simply because I'm rarely in that area. Recently, a coworker said that they had great sandwiches there, so here I am. And my favorite poboy, especially being from New Orleans, is the hot sausage patty poboy. I have had the links and don't care for them. This poboy was excellent, the store was clean, and the staff was friendly. They have real New Orleans poboy bread, so kudos and kisses for that. I get my poboys dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and sometimes pickles (when I'm feeling picky). Yes, I made up the word prickly because sometimes I have a taste for pickles and sometimes I don't. Anyway, try this location and you won't be disappointed. Just look at my pictures! FYI: You can get almost any kind of poboy that you can imagine here.

It's a convenience store--the 3rd one at this intersection but also the busiest and most popular---it has more gasoline pumps and it has a deli which the other 2 locations do not. The gasoline is pay at the pump and its price/gallon is competitive with the offerings of other stations which seek to have the lowest price in the area. The deli has fresh fried chicken---the Krispy Krunch brand --and initially this was the focus of the deli and most popular, especially since they had great fried chicken specials---now, not so much---but the chicken, when fresh is superb. In addition to fried chicken the deli serves fried shrimp and fish plates and po boys as well as other deli meat poboys. The biggest current special is their hamburger or cheeseburger special with fries and drink for $7 or maybe less. I find the burger very tasty. The fries are okay at best. As mentioned, this is a convenience store so alcohol, fountain drinks/slushes, frozen desserts/sweets and cigarettes/vapes are offered and apparently in popular demand as this location always seems to be busy with the locals purchasing this stuff. Ambiance? Again, this is a convenience store and any attempts to make it otherwise probably fails--but most of the time it's clean and presets Lea d very functional unless you want h freshly prepared food late at night. The staff has always been friendly and or professional albeit always placing the blame on the computers/electronic equipment which prices of beer and or ice cream get rung up wrong, which has happened to me at least 3 times --and not in my favor. But the location is convenient for me so I return. Oh yeah, I am not sure when the deli closes but it's between 9 and 10:00 pm so this is not a late notice spot for hot prepared food which is severely lacking in this area of town.
