Zero stars. Negative stars. I'd rather use a ditch on the side of the road than walk into this biohazard of a convenience store again.
Today, the piece of work calling himself a "manager" screamed at me in front of a half‑dozen customers. His exact words, shouted like a toddler having a meltdown: "WE AREN'T HAVING PUBLIC RESTROOMS." Then he added that I "come here every day" and "take too long in the bathroom."
Let's translate that for normal humans: this grown man stood in a public place of business and announced that he is willfully violating Florida law. Specifically, Florida Administrative Code 64E‑10.001 - which says, in plain English, that any open business MUST provide restroom access to the public. Not "maybe." Not "if the manager feels like it." MUST.
But this clown doesn't care about the law. Or basic human dignity. Or the fact that some people have medical conditions that require a bathroom right now - Crohn's, colitis, pregnancy, you name it. Nope. He'd rather scream at a customer and then lie about "no public restrooms" than do his actual job.
Here's what's already happened since his little tantrum:
· I filed an emergency complaint with the Florida DBPR under Florida Statute 509.035 - that's the "immediate closure for public health threats" law.
· The Citrus County BOCC has been copied on my legal demand letter.
· Circle K corporate legal is now aware that one of their stores is openly breaking state sanitation codes.
· A formal complaint is also sitting with the Florida Department of Health for creating a public nuisance.
This store is now on borrowed time. And that manager? He's going to learn what "vicarious liability" means when corporate throws him under the bus to save their own skin.
So here's my advice to anyone reading this:
Do not give this location a single penny. Do not buy gas, do not buy a soda, do not even touch the door handle. Because if you have the audacity to need a bathroom like a normal human being, this rage‑filled little tyrant will scream at you and then break state law in front of witnesses.
