It's a lovely store that has lots of t-shirts, shorts, hats, sandals, swimwear, beach supplies, souvenirs, big selection of Costa sunglasses, etc. plus they also has big selection of beer, wine, ice, coolers, snacks, cut meats, sandwiches & even some fresh fruits. It's a big store with the Trading Co brand and it's super convenient because again it's right on the beach.

The brisket sandwich was loaded with thick, juicy slices of perfectly smoked brisket that was tender, flavorful, and had just the right amount of smoky bark. The bun held up without getting soggy, and the subtle sauce complemented the meat without overpowering it. The paper wrapping that the sandwich was in is now a different story. The wrapping itself does not hold up to the heat, the hot sauces and the fabulous sliced meat. The paper inside wrapping kinda fell apart on the sandwhich and i spent more time peeling pieces off the meats. Hands down though one of the best gas station briskets I've ever had. The BBQ sandwich was equally impressive -- sweet, tangy pulled pork (or chopped beef?) with a perfect balance of smoke and seasoning. It was messy in the best way possible, packed with flavor, and left me completely satisfied. For any road trip food, this is next-level. Fresh, hot, and way better than most BBQ joints I've tried. If you're at Buc-ee's, do yourself a favor and get both -- you won't regret it! Highly recommend. 10 out of 10 would stop in again on my next drive through Texas/Mississippi/Florida & Alabama!

I pulled in thinking I'd grab a quick fill up and maybe a sad bag of chips. Rookie mistake. This place is the size of a small country. You don't "stop" at Buc-ee's. You commit to it. First off, the pumps. There are so many pumps you start wondering if they're preparing for the apocalypse. No waiting, no nonsense, just pull up and go. Then you walk inside and it hits you. This is not a convenience store. This is a full blown experience. It's like Walmart, a barbecue joint, and a souvenir shop had a very successful child. And then you hear it... "Fresh brisket on the board!" That's not an announcement. That's a call to action. The barbecue is legit. Not "good for a gas station" good. Just straight up good. The turkey sandwich is my go to, piled high and paired with those fresh cooked chips that disappear faster than your willpower. You walk in thinking snack. You walk out with a full meal and possibly a dessert you didn't plan on. Now let's talk about the walls. Not shelves. Walls. Wall of jerky. Wall of trail mix. Wall of fountain drinks. It's like they asked, "How much is too much?" and then doubled it. The store is spotless. And I mean spotless. The bathrooms deserve their own five star review. The restricted drive thru availability obviously translates into longer lines inside and out. That just doesn't make a lot of sense if you really care about your customers. The prices here were competitive with the other stations in the area although after this experience I'd be okay paying a few cents more per gallon. I had no interaction with the staff being I paid at the pump so my review is essentially based on the lack of useable space outside and a complete lack of traffic signage it's pretty much a free for all...

It competes with a Circle K across the street but traffic patterns assure them of plenty of business. Gas prices stay pretty low due to competition. They have good selections of sweets like candy and also provide savory snacks like beef jerky and such. This location does not have a hot table with food. They also have a good selection of cold drinks and beer here. Sometimes the line to checkout can be a tad long due to the crowds. Service is usually friendly and efficient. When the traffic pattern fits and I need gas I will stop in here. Out of 10 trips I think they get 3. Really hard to go wrong here and most of these stores are pretty consistent in their offerings. Tip: right next door is a great chicken place to try. It's really good.

I have had many regrets from eating gas station food in my sorted foodie past but there has been those rare few that have had some surprisingly tasty offerings, and this is one of them. Formerly French's Barge-N-Chevron, it's now  Woodson's Barge-N-Chevron has some of that surprising good food thanks to Melissa Woodson, who owns this little eatery tucked into a Chevron on a busy corner in Gulf Shores since 2004. She was quoted "I bought a farm this summer, and we've been doing dishes with veggies I grow." Everything that I've tried here has been fresh and very tasty and I'm a fan!  The #1 thing that everyone talks about is the fried chicken, and there's for good reason, it is FAR better than the KFC, Popeyes, etc. chain store chicken, it's really, really good. In addition they have some of the best tasting chicken livers I've tasted anywhere, so chicken is tops for me.   Popular items include green beans, potato salad, hushpuppies, squash casserole (made with just-picked crooknecks), big fried potatoes, fried shrimp, banana nut bread and more.  One note for some of the patrons from years past, they continue to make the same favorite chicken salad, which is a dish original to the spot. Most folks grab ' go, even ordering ahead, but there's 4 big tables and chairs to seat 12 inside so dining in is an option, but it's still a gas station.  As for the convenience store itself, their gas prices are WAY too high which is one of the reasons it took me so long to discover them, but the convenience is well stocked with snacks, coffee, beer and even automotive stuff.  Bottom line: The ladies here are very hospitable and always greet you with a smile, the food is fresh and reasonably priced.
