This was my first time visiting Java Burrito Company while in Hilton Head Island, and I had a great…read moreexperience! I ordered the tacos and customized them with all the veggies. The taco shells were really crispy, which I appreciated, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The service was quick, making it a great option if you're looking for a fast and casual meal. The ordering process is similar to Chipotle--you wait in line and choose what you'd like, whether that's a burrito, bowl, tacos, nachos, or a quesadilla, and then customize it with the fillings and toppings you want. Overall, it was a fun spot with a convenient setup and tasty food. I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm back in Hilton Head!

Another trip to Hilton Head Island means an obvious stop at Java Burrito. Seldom do I ever go to…read morethe island without stopping here to eat some filling, burrito bowls or try their coffee. First off, the restaurant is located perfect in a shopping center with plenty of indoor and covered outdoor seating. The ordering style is synonymous of most of the "build-your-own" restaurants. I opted for a burrito and chose the "Java Special" as my choice of protein. It has a mix of steak and chicken, cooked in queso. The burrito was delicious and well portioned. Typically, a leaky burrito would turn-off some people from the food, including myself, but it was delicious nonetheless. I went back the next morning for some coffee and opted for a speciality Dubai Chocolate coffee. It was delicious to the point where we could not stop talking about it all morning. All in all, I love eating at Java Burrito whether I want a hefty meal or just some quality coffee. It's to the point where it's a guaranteed visit whenever I make my way down to the island.

It doesn't feel corporate or manufactured at all. More like you've stumbled into somebody's lovingly chaotic backyard dinner party where the food just happens to be genuinely top-tier. The mismatched charm, handwritten feel, and warm atmosphere are part of what makes it so special. There's this brilliant contrast between the laid-back hole-in-the-wall vibe and the seriously refined cooking coming out of the kitchen. We started with the fried green tomatoes which were incredibly tender, fried perfectly, and drizzled with a lovely house-made ranch. The sweet house pickles alongside were such a good touch. We also each had a cup of she crab soup which was beautifully seasoned and packed with tonnes of crab morsels. For mains, we shared the shrimp and grits and completely understood why the recipe has won awards, including being recognised as the 3rd best in the world. The recipe is rooted in traditional Lowcountry cooking but elevated with layers of flavour that somehow still feel comforting and homemade. The grits were unbelievably creamy, and the shrimp and sausage were perfectly cooked with fantastic flavour throughout. We also split the seafood purloo with blackened grouper, and it was equally impressive. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted incredibly fresh without trying too hard to be fancy. What really made the experience though was the staff. Everyone went above and beyond. They took time to chat with us about the area, paced the courses perfectly so nothing felt rushed, and by the end we were leaving with handshakes feeling more like guests than customers. Places like this are getting harder to find. We'll absolutely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Lowcountry food served by genuinely wonderful people.

THIS PLACE WAS FIREEEEE!!!!…read more We were craving wings and searched for wings in Hilton Head and One Hot Mama's came up and the reviews were pretty great, so we gave it a try. OH MY WORD I couldn't have asked for better wings to satisfy the craving. Our server was so on board with our mission to enjoy the best wings and was super helpful selecting flavors. We tried 4 of each flavor - Hot Asian - Maui Wowii - Mama Mia - Italian Stallion OHHH and the cornbread - if you like cakey corn bread...which I do...you will love their cornbread. We sat outside - there was live music, beautiful breeze from nature and the fans, and a perfect spot for a summer night dinner.

The quality is fantastic, fall of the bone ribs and the brisket just pulls apart. It is some of the most tender brisket I have ever had. The bbq sauce is well balanced. I didn't love the other sauces we tried and the fried chicken was average. Everything else was superb. We fed 6 and did not touch two of the sides containers. The restaurant itself looks like a fun hang out. The garage bar is a cool design and looks great for drinks. Special shout out to the servers who helped us out. We are from Los Angeles and when we ordered through our toast account, it updated the time to Pacific. Thankfully they fired it right when I arrived and got me the meal with 30 min. Greta restaurant and anyone in Hilton Head MUST try this spot.

Saw who we think was our waitress twice; when she took our order and when I finally had to ask for our ticket. No refills for my coffee or the wife's flat Coke which we did get taken off the ticket. He said it was generally more of a local than a tourist place, though everyone is welcome. They share a large parking lot with a shopping plaza. It appears that there is a Publix going in soon. Also, some areas had signs about using a QR code to validate parking, but apparently those were not activated yet (and seemed unpopular with the staff). It was fairly crowded when we arrived (probably 9:30 a.m.). However, they apparently just expanded and took over the adjoining space (formerly a t-shirt shop). So though the 'original' booths and counter stools were mostly taken, there appeared to be open tables in the new space. Service was sort of tag-team; whoever walked by and noticed that you needed something tried to take care of it. That is in no way a complaint - it was an efficient system. We all ordered and had a short wait for the food, given the volume of customers. When it arrived, everyone liked their platters. I had a cheese omelet, bacon, and hash browns. All were quite tasty. The coffee was good too. Prices were reasonable. I'm not much of a 'breakfast out' person at home, but if I were on HHI for any period of time, I'd definitely go back here.
