I went to this establishment on a recommendation from a local. I hade the Turkey Club. Now, it…read morecomes in the sizes which threw me for a loop to begin with. They use a cheese blend round bun. It really isn't a turkey club. It's more of a turkey sandwich with the fixings of a club. What I did not like at all was the bread. It totally killed the sandwich for me. It left a bad after taste. I can't really explain it. It just wasn't good. The turkey was ok. For the price of the sandwich though, I would have expected more turkey on it. There is a much better option across the street. Try Downtown Deli. It is superior to this establishment. Again, just my opinion. Try it for your self.

Alvin Ord's of Bluffton is my favorite sandwich shop of all time, period. The sandwiches are…read moreconsistently, insanely good. The bread they use is similar to an airy pizza crust, and topped with their three blends of cheese that are melted onto the bread before the meats and toppings are added. I've had almost the entire menu over the years, but my favorite is the simple sliced turkey, with lettuce, tomato (which I opt out of sometimes just because I'm not a huge tomato on a sandwich guy, unless it's an actual tomato sandwich...), onion, and then I ask to add their garlic mayo and banana peppers, and sometimes jalapeños. Their turkey club is a second favorite if I'm craving bacon on my sandwich (they also have a jalapeño bacon!). Their other deli sandwiches are great, like the original with a mix of luncheon and other deli meats. I love their lesser known meatball sandwich and cheeseburger. My wife's favorite is the pastrami. The staff at Alvin Ord's are some of the nicest folks I've met in the restaurant industry, and they're always super helpful to new and old customers alike. The vibe of the shop is like a little beachside surf shop, super casual and comfy, with indoor seating at mismatched tables, along with two screened in porches--one that's dog friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. I'd eat here every other day if I could--and that's only because I usually turn my regular sized sandwich into two days of lunch.

Hi Everyone, Pish,…read moreposh, have you been to Nosh? It's a very clean, bright, and oh, just right, Place for breakfast or lunch, For only you..., or your whole bunch. Your Servers and Chefs are talented and fast, So you're never last, Or out of gas, As you continue on with your day, Of work..., or just play. When you eye their food, You can begin to brood, Because you are famished, And it all, looks so appealing, As you stomach starts growling, And your tastebuds start howling, But relax my friend, As this road has an end, Of savory, delicious, and oh so propitious, Taste-bombastic, Galaxy-fantastic food, Glorious food, food, So...tender and warming, That puts pep in your step, And gas in your hide, As you glide on down, To..., Pleasure Town. They offer value as well, As you scratch your head and say, "Hell! All this, for that?" But then you remember, Tis but one stop in your day, As our present economic gloom, Seems only to portend doom, But then, You smile, ever so completely, As you nosh away on your meaty, Ambrosial find, so sweetly, As you consider your luck, That for only a few bucks, You are ready to face your day, In every way, Come what may, Because you noshed on a fantastic bagel. Enjoy!

Once I arrived and walked through the door, I sensed this place was going to be good. The shop itself looked brand new and was super clean. And when I stepped up to the counter to review the menu, everyone was really nice. I quickly scanned the menu, and it was great to see a variety of bagels that they offered. So I proceeded to order my favorite ... a bacon, egg, and cheese ... and selected a multigrain bagel. Bingo! The flavors were all there, all on a fresh bagel! I will definitely pin this place should I be in the area again.

The restaurant feels clean, inviting, and well thought out. One area that could use improvement is signage. The property has a drive-thru lane and drive-thru windows, which naturally led me to assume there was drive-thru service available. After circling the building, I realizing it wasn't operational, not a major issue, but clearer signage would help eliminate confusion for first-time visitors. Once inside, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which is exactly what I've come to expect from Island Bagel. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the standard I've experienced at their other locations. I ordered the Lowcountry Breakfast Sandwich. The bagel was under-toasted, and the eggs were overcooked. While "stale" may not be the perfect word, the eggs gave the impression that they had been sitting for a while rather than being freshly prepared. The fresh, made-to-order quality I've come to associate with Island Bagel simply wasn't there during this visit. I'm hopeful this experience was an exception rather than the norm. Based on my past experiences with the company, I know they're capable of delivering much better. While this particular visit fell short of my expectations, I would still encourage people to give Island Bagel a try, whether at this location or one of their others. My hope is that this was simply an off day and that future visits better reflect the quality I've come to expect from the brand. Disclaimer: This review is based solely on my first visit to Island Bagel & Deli's new location. It is not necessarily representative of every experience I've had with the company. I've visited other Island Bagel locations in the past and have generally been very impressed. I believe reviews should be honest reflections of a specific experience while also providing constructive feedback that helps both future customers and the business itself.p
