She wanted salted caramel cold foam added. I read everything from a text she sent. After ordering hers, I ordered my simple , what I always get, grande hot *white* mocha. The barista over the intercom repeated my order correctly too, which left me puzzled. Nothing was shown on the screen but with her reading everything back correctly I figured that's fine. Pulled up to the window and just collected the drinks and was on my way. Once I got on the highway I tried my drink and it was a regular mocha, which is not what I wanted. This prompted me to look at my wife's and there was no cold foam added. I was already on the highway so going back wasn't an option. I was confused as she repeated back the correct order to me but somehow the order got lost in translation? Not sure. To add insult to injury, my regular gross mocha cup collapsed in when I picked it up the second time. This led to the lid popping off, losing grip of the cup because it collapsed in, and spilled hot all over me and my car. I ended up letting Starbucks on fb know about the encounter and they refunded everything which was nice. I wasn't blaming the cup incident on them, but it was just an unfortunate misfortune after being wrong anyways.
