After spending almost a week in Bradenton on business I finally had the opportunity to head back home to the east coast. After merging onto I-75 north bound I quickly got up to speed, it was a little before 9:00 PM and traffic was moving a little over 80 mph and all three lanes were still congested from rush hour. This highway is a good example of what I dislike about this side of the state, I guess if I was retired and didn't have to venture out during the morning and even rush hours I may consider moving here being I love the gulf waters over the Atlantic side. Just as I settled in for the ride I realized I needed to fuel up before crossing the state so I exited once I saw the sign for this station. The exit is not lit and with pouring rain it can be a little difficult to maneuver when exiting at a high rate of speed. The first curve forced me to scrub most of my speed but I had to immediately get back in it to cross the (3) lanes while merging to get all the way left to turn into the station - note to file this seems to be a popular spot for the "Road Ranger" (sponsored by State Farm) I'm not sure what the attraction is but I did notice (2) during my short visit maybe "donuts"? I don't know how old this Racetrac is but it's very clean and the fuel prices were competitive. Getting in and out is very easy and the parking lot and fuel Islands are well lit. It's doubtful I'll ever become a regular here but I'd stop in if the opportunity presented itself again... read more

Needed to "tea" I don't feel like going home so i needed to reset my looks to blend in with Law complying bathroom etiquettes. Not in the mood for "desamti's bathroom police" bs. I gotta say, i still look like a lady wearing boy clothes lol it was entertaining using the men's bathroom again. Always weirds me out when u don't see hateful crap in bathroom walls lol that's actually a compliment! Lol hell in my work place!? They are covered wall to wall, to stall to stall! It's actually sad n very worrying. Racetrack is actually very clean. The store to. Staff was working n chillaxing. Empty store, every once in a while someone came n ran out. Picked up a electrolyte drink cuz i will need in a couple hours. Picked up something for the nerves n outa all the corns dogs, i won the lottery! Mines pretending to be a cinder block! It's actually that hard! Made a glassy crunchy noise while i ate it lol I recorded a vid cuz it's to funny not to share lol Now im in a "safe zone" still figuring out my next steps. At least i got company n theres a cop walking around. Vs the previous spot that was hella scary. read more

Went and purchased two beef hotdogs and they were really hard. The buns were hard. I typically don't eat things like that from gas stations but it's a nice station so I proceeded. Truly everything else about the gas station is fine. But those hotdogs -- don't do it! read more

Bad experience. Do not buy fuel at RACETRAC, Had contaminated fuel. Cost to have a new fuel pump that was burnt up due to water & debris was $1350.00 + $150.00 tow, $65.00 in contaminated fuel that had to be emptied out of gas tank, $150.00 paid to a friend who towed my 24ft trailer back home. Turned in a claim with receipts, never received any phone calls from RACETRAC.They are certainly not customer service oriented. Yes. I'm reviewing the gas station. Many a wine drunken nights my fiance has driven me here to buy drunk snacks, and more wine. That's right. Wine. It's always clean, and when my diet is "on point" I give mad kudos for having an abundance of macro friendly snacks. I mean they really have everything. Right now for example, they have Reese's donuts and these flat bread melt things. Who are you even Racetrac? The coffee is better than Wawa's (oh yes I did go there!) And it's a million steps up from 7-11. My fiance plays the lottery every week. When we win, I promise I'll come give each of you workers like 10k. I give you a 5/5. Will definitely smash again. I love this race track, it is easily accessible, and inside is always nice and clean. Also, the staff are very friendly. What I love most about this place, is the gas prices. No matter if you are paying cash or credit inside or outside, the price is the same, and lower than any other gas prices in this area (most of the time). read more

This is, by far, my favorite gas station in the Brandon area. They are always clean and the restrooms are in impeccable shape. The employees are very nice and helpful, engaging in actual conversation each time you visit. Most convenience stores want to get you in and out as soon as possible, but I appreciate that they interact with me without keeping me longer than expected. I have found that this location has fuel priced a few cents higher than the Racetrac a few miles away on Bloomingdale, and that they don't have the same cigarrette selection as well. Try their Chorizo breakfast burrito...it is seriously tasty. read more

This RaceTrac has great prices that rival some of the cheapest prices I see in Tampa - often much cheaper than competitors and the gas station itself is very clean and modern. I refuse to shop at the BP across the street after the oil spill - and I will not be surprised if RaceTrac drives them out of business again. Employees are always friendly inside and there is plenty of options. Agree with Camaron A. as well with the no charge for credit, I hate gas stations the lure you into their stations with prices and then raise them unless you have cash. read more

This place is a great place for fuel , prices are always 2-4 cents cheaper than other places nearby, no charge for credit another plus , lots of pumps and space between them. Food mart has lots of options and restrooms are always clean, best of all its in good location. read more

Went to the RaceTrac on Fruitville Rd 34232 on a mommy break to quickly put some gas in my vehicle. I realized on the way there that I left my $50 gas card in the diaper bag at home but my time is valuable right now so I decided to just put a couple bucks in & enjoy my mommy break. I had a gas card with about $5 left on it so I used that first and then put my debit card in to finish up. I was planning to put in $20 but the pump stopped at $17 something so I put it back and got in my car to enjoy the windows down and the music up on my way back home. As I was pulling out two women were yelling and waving at me so I stopped and said how can I help you? The gas station attendant aggressively said "you just pumped her gas and you need to pay for hers" I am so confused by why she is being to aggressive towards me as well as confused by what she's said. She continues to be aggressive telling me that "I'd better pull up front and come inside or she's calling the police" It appears shes accusing me of stealing gas somehow. I check my bank account and I have a pre-authorization for my gas so I tell her I don't want to do anything right now but talk to her manager and she continues to be very aggressive and accusatory. I go inside and she at this point is repeating my license plate number out loud and will not find the manager for me. Then she won't take my card and just says that the police will take care of it. I explain that I have an infant at home that is hungry waiting for me and I had only a few minutes to myself and she says "well this happens all the time and you better pay". She finally ran my card and after several attempts the transaction went through. I see 2 authorizations on my account from RaceTrac now. I am shocked at the way I was spoken to for one and the manager never came to take over or apologize for how her employee behaved and dealt with the situation. I'm appalled and disappointed with the level of customer service I received today. My mommy break turned into a break down! I am sure I'll return to this gas station at some point only because it's convenient but I hope to never have to deal with this employee again. So unprofessional and rude! read more

Plenty of gas pumps as well as food and drink selections. Very clean inside and out. Usually cheaper gas prices than other nearby gas stations. What peeves me though is the entrance/exits of this gas station as it's a bit of an annoyance when leaving. No way to make a left turn going out. Bummer. read more

I have gone to this racetrac for about 1 year & they are wonderful people...I remember one time i went in & didn't see my favorite person...Well, several months later I found out she had given birth & decided to come back..Great gal, & she was always so polite under the circumstances. I have since moved & really miss the "Great customer Service there...The cleanliness and just the "Great Smiles" on peoples faces there. Keep up the Great Work/ Racetrac!!! read more
