    Subway has become a huge chain, not only here in the United States, but as a global company…read more Interestingly enough, it was started by a seventeen-year-old kid named Fred DeLuca and financed by Peter Buck back in 1965 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. It was finally named Subway in 1972 and began their expansion in 1974 when they opened a second location in Wallingford, Connecticut. Since that humble beginning, Subway has expanded into over 40,000 locations in over one hundred countries and territories. That in itself is pretty impressive. So after that history lesson, let's get to the meat of the subject (and there was definitely intended pun there). Subway will never be the best sub you will ever have. It will probably also never be considered a great sub. However, Subway is relatively consistent and you pretty much do know what to expect when you go to a Subway. I stopped at this particular Subway just looking to grab a quick lunch and Subway served its general purpose. I get a twelve inch sub and was on my way in a quick manner. I was trying to figure out how many stars to give this particular Subway. I understand Subway will never be a great sub shop, but as far as Subways go, this was a decent experience. As far as a sub shop, Subway would probably rank a three at best, but looking at it as a Subway, I will give it four stars.
