The service by our waitress is great. The food is OK as well on the buffet. The only problem with this establishment is they offer discounts based off of how many times you come in to collect your "stars" in order to save three dollars off of a drink. The machine is consistently down therefore you never collect the required amount to get the discount because You can't login. If you can't login, you don't get your discount. May be done on purpose? Who knows? Eight out of 10 times that we have visited this establishment the machine to login is never functioning correctly. It's a nice quiet and quaint spot, at least at the time my partner and I went. I definitely the upkeep and cleanliness could be improved. Windows weren't wiped and had built up moisture.The service itself was standard, nothing over the top and it definitely could've been worse. Food itself was also middle of the road for me and my partner could agree on that. Watery pasta and under seasoned chicken were just a couple noteworthy things we encountered. I can definitely see why it'd be such a hit for the older crowd. Definitely not gonna be a regular but I'd stop in maybe once a year to see how things are! read more

We eat here as much as we can. The all you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet is very reasonably priced. The food is full of flavor and fresh. A great spot for a Sunday morning breakfast spot! read more

I got the fried chicken, collard green, mashed potatoes with gravy, lima bean, green bean, and banana pudding. The waitress, I think her name was Teneica Powell, was great! Shoneys has gone the way of most other chain restaurants today. Cheaper ingredients, less selection& higher prices. I hate to see this icon go away but I'm afraid that's what will eventually happen. It's cheaper to eat at home or local diner and the food is better. I'd like to see some innovation to revive the chain. This Shoneys does at least season its food fairly well. read more

If I could put 0 stars, I absolutely would. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The servers were rude, and the management was even worse. I have worked in the service industry for many years of my life, and I cannot imagine the decline of my business if I acted in such a way. It was 30 minutes after we were seated that I decided to ask the man at the desk , who turned out to be the manager on duty, who our server was so we could at least get drinks while we were waiting. He told me that he would be our waiter after he handled all of the to go orders in line behind me. There were servers on the floor, but none stopped to check on us during those 30 minutes. During that time, 5 other families were seated in different sections, had drinks, and were able to get their food from the buffet. He seemed shocked that we had been waiting for 30 minutes, but he is the person who sat us in the booth after we arrived. I understand being short-staffed, but the unresponsive and rude attitudes that work for this establishment is the reason that this restaurant will never thrive. I know that my business does not matter to the employees here, but this was the first and last time I will ever consider eating here. read more

Buffet is the fastest thing there. They seem to push you in that direction. If you choose to order from the "menu" you will wait at least thirty minutes for a simple dish of macaroni and cheese for your 5 year old. Other dishes are just as slow and barely warm when served. This is not a single visit review but an average review of at least 5 trips. When management changes, you will get an uptick in quality and service but it quickly fades. I love coming to Shoney's. They always have hot fresh coffee in the morning. Their breakfast bar is to die for. It's always stocked and clean. Most of all the ladies that works in the morning time are superb. If you get a chance stop in and pay them a visit and enjoy breakfast buffet. read more

I drove an hour and a half to meet up with a friend and have Shoney's breakfast. I used to go to Shoney's all the time almost 16 years ago. Since then most of them have sadly shut down. I was going to this one with low expectations but was surprised at everything. Great service first and foremost. The food... the food was even better than I remembered! The biscuits and gravy were phenomenal as well as everything else at the buffet. Thank you Shoney's for giving me at least one last great buffet breakfast! Best Shoney's in the world Bubba. When I go to the Onion City I want Vidalia onions and good country cooking. Just get the Buffet, you can't beat it. 100 times better than other Shoney's.
