If you're not stopping, we can't be friends. Needed a break and do some shopping. Had to grab their 250 anniversary American shirt. Which comes with a Buc-ee's sticker. I usually put on my car, then it fades with the Texas sun and I peal it off till I get a new one. Customer service is on point. Everyone is nice, polite, helpful, and just Southern. Love coming here. It's always packed, so I'm not the only one that gets it. God bless Buc-ee's

Its right on the corner of Common & Union St. Buyer beware ! I don't normally review convenient stores, so why am I reviewing this one ? What makes this one so special ? Because if your not extremely careful and vigilant the man at the register will rip you off ! He will over charge you and play dumb thinking he's done nothing wrong. If you challenge him he'll correct it, if you don't catch his slight of hand he'll cheat you. Shame on him. If you go to this store, close to the Schlitterbaun water park, be very careful, watch your prices before you go up to the register because the big bad wolf will hoodwink you out of your money if your not vigilant.

This young kid was yelling and getting in the face of this older woman, and when I say in her face, I mean he was within inches of her face. All of this was happening with a store full of customers. I could see no reason for him to be yelling at her at all, she kept waiting on customers and trying to get cups and lids stocked. He kept telling her not to act childish, the only thing I heard her say was to get out of my face. And even if there was a reason it certainly should of never happened in front of customers. One customer was looking like he was going to go and knock this kid out it was so bad. I believe his name was Eric.

So we decided "eh let's give this place a shot instead" on our drive down to San Antonio. And to our surprise, this place was actually really solid. No, it doesn't have the SHEER square footage of the NB Buc-ee's, but it has nice clean plentiful bathrooms, a good assortment of snacks, drinks, useful trinkets, and toys, as well as a buy-at-the-counter deli with fresh hot food and many tables to sit and eat inside. Honestly, all our needs were more than met stopping here and it took probably less than half the time fighting the onslaught of cars/people always swarming like ants at Buc-ee's across the freeway on the weekends. If you find yourself in a similar conundrum (and don't have any beaver-related business needs), just come here instead! Also the Exxon pumps have tap to pay. Yay!

Granted, it is my fault that I always wait until my car is on E to roll in to fill up a few bucks of gas (their prices are sky-high year round), but it's awful. No matter which pump I've tried the buttons for "is this a debit card?" NEVER work! None of them! It's flipping frustrating and the staff acts like you're doing it wrong. No, the machines are so old the buttons have been mashed to death. The other day I stopped in for a soda and the ice machine wasn't working. They said "you just need to hold your cup against the button". I stood there over a minute and they said "just keep holding". thanks but no thanks. I put my cup up and left. I feel they only stay in business due to their beer sales, but even then they don't have many choice in cans, which is dumb considering the rivers in town. I wish they'd update it and have working pumps and ice then maybe I'd go back
