Was just left in a room (already changed into gown) for most of the time. When I explained my concerns to Dr. Allsup she was the typical horror story of a doctor who didn't take my worries seriously. She assured me that fibroids are no big deal, periods aren't fun for anyone, and offhandedly offered me to try birth control, despite me breaking down in tears from frustration. No follow up, no scans ordered, nothing. Fast forward a year and several more ER trips I finally got to a gyno who showed an ounce of concern for my wellbeing. Turns out I have several fibroids, with some measuring over 10cm. I'm constantly bloated, and press on my bladder, so I always feel like I have to pee. Deep infiltrating endometriosis was found, spreading across my colon and rectum. And to top it all of, we found out Lynch's syndrome (50-60% lifetime risk of endometrial cancer) runs in my family, and I will likely have a hysterectomy to prevent this risk. I'm finally getting adequate care, but I would've saved a myself a lot of trouble, ER visits, physical pain and emotional fatigue if I didn't have the misfortune of receiving "care" from Dr. Allsup.

This may be the last Buc-ee's we visit as our road trip is nearing its end. This time instead of exploring their packaged snack products I thought about how much room we have left in our car and flying it home so I decided against it. I did buy 3 of their small cup size Blue Bell dark chocolate ice cream- for all of us but the cashier gave only one spoon. It tasted so good I had hubs go get me a large size one since I didn't eat a normal lunch and it was past 5 pm. While I waited in the car with the grandpup. I wanted to find some Bucee items for Doc since she's been our road trip driver plus made all the arrangements for hotels, tickets to parks, dinner show, etc. We all got different things: hubs got small bags of jerky, Doc got her favorite brisket sandwich to share with her Frenchie, a sausage on a stick and 3 peach cobblers for each of us to try. I like the large amount of clean restroom stalls plus soap. The cone of warmed sugary pecans and cinnamon bites were a sweet snack- finally gone from the first Buc-ee's a week ago. Before leaving Doc had us take a selfie and a nice gentleman also took a couple for us too.

Its consistency is like mush, and not like muscle fibers. There was nothing lean brisket vs fatty brisket. The brisket had holes throughout, making it look even more like an ultra processed deli meat or even lab grown. I was disgusted, to say the least. They also have ZERO options for people conscious of the ingredient lists. We bought popcorn and the bag was open at the bottom. I opted the top and it was super stale. I realized it was open on the bottom and the store game me a hard time about exchanging it. It's pretty clear the sealing process failed for this bag. We won't be shopping here anymore, nor will we eat their food. But if you're visiting Texas and come across one, it's a fun stop to pass time.

Walters St. My husband and I have putting gas here for years, and since prices have really increased in the last 12 months, we make it a point to not even consider going anywhere else. Plus if you have the Military Star Card, you get 5 cents off from the current price which is an amazing deal and you get cash back. The only thing that I do not like about this gas station is the entrance. There is only one way to get in and is not marked really well which can be a little confusing for new people. If you have access to the military base definitely save yourself some money and make sure to fill out your tank at this Valero.

Definitely not your typical dry, flavorless gas station. This chicken is crunchy, tender, and juicy. It's very reasonably priced. Sunny reached out to a customer, Alex (I'd post his last name but I didn't ask permission), at his store who graciously took time out of his own day to bring me gas where I was stuck on the highway. He did not have to do that; nor did Sunny have to ask anyone. There wasn't anything in it for them. They both showed their true kindness and are people that work to keep human kindness moving forward. I'm not in Lockhart very often but will definitely go to this gas station when I need gas or a drink.
