Hey NC state. SO, my last review mentioned 2 places that I supposedly had to try while out in North…read moreCarolina. First one being cookout, second being bojangles. It's BO time I guess. Came after camp around 2:30 on a Sunday. Not super crowded and much different ambience than I was expecting. Ordered and split the 3 piece supremes dinner and asked for a bo-berry biscuit and a cheer wine (first time trying both) This place is great! Being from California, we don't have these anywhere near us and it's a crime, the chicken here is fine. Probably similar to a Popeyes, but the fries are maybe the best fries I've ever had. Both kinds of biscuits, the Bo-Berry and the regular Biscuits are fantastic. The berry one is almost like a cake/scone and the biscuit is a regular dinner biscuit but it's so buttery and fluffy. really great stuff. The cheer wine was basically cherry coke but not mad at it at all Overall, pretty freaking good. Pissed that I get to have this now and will maybe never have it again. Try it out 4.25/5

I ORDERED and paid for TWO WHITE pieces of chicken and a PICNIC sized Pinto Beans. After paying for my order I realized that I wanted to add a tea .The Cashier said that I could have it for free .Which I thought was exceptionally nice and good marketing and made a mental note to favor this location in the future . They first brought me a regular size pinto beans .When I pointed out I had ordered a Picnic size I was brought another small size and told the two of them equal a Picnic size ( No it is not .Two small containers of beans equals 1/2 a picnic size ). I decided to overlook this because " Free tea"!) Then I got home and saw that while I had paid extra for two white pieces of chicken I had been given a dark and a white . One of the pinto bean bowls had been SCRAPED out of a canister and contained inedible PINTO SLUDGE. The biscuit and the tea were good . I am writing this in detail in hopes that some manager sees this and can correct what is going on at this location .Frpm my observation it appeared that no one was keeping up with what food was needed until AFTER they ran out. Again a happy acting group but they need better management.

Your classic burger joint that's been around since 1960…read more You grab a slip of paper with menu options, fill out your order with a nub of a pencil, and slide it through a slot in the plate glass window, through which you can see 2-foot- high flames rising above a weathered flat top that emanates a delicious beefy aroma. The burgers are no frills, backyard barbecue vibes, really well seasoned and topped with the best burger cheese there is--melty yellow American. The fries are thick and starchy but cooked well so the vast majority are crisp and a little crunchy on the ends. They salt them really well, which goes a long way with thick cut fries. I heard the milkshakes are a great choice, but I wasn't nearly hungry enough, so I went with a soda fountain Dr. Pepper instead. Nice crunchy ice and a well stocked syrup supply gave it that classic drive-in soda quality. Super friendly staff rounded out that experience as well. It's not the best burger I've ever had by any means, but it really does give a warm sense of nostalgia, even for a place I'd never been to before.

Each taste of the steak burger, fries, or shake are just heaven to me. I really enjoy my meal every time. There are a couple of tables to sit at, but we just ate in our car this time. The staff are always nice, and quick to get orders out. Chatting with others while waiting for the food is a great way to pass time, and learn of other places nearby to visit. We were told there's a bar across the street where you can take your food in, and that sounds like a good night! Definitely go try their food, and have the Char-Grill experience.

Ole Time Barbeque is now on our must list when visiting Raleigh. We stopped by for the first time…read moreand were blown away by how delicious everything was and how friendly and helpful the staff was. I ordered a combo plate of chicken pastry and bbq pork, with sides of fried okra and potato salad. Everything was served piping hot, just as it should be. The Chicken Pastry (chicken and dumplings) had wonderful flavor and was comfort food at its finest with thick and wide chewy noodle dumplings. So often chicken and dumpling dishes can be overly salty but Ole Time Barbecue's was perfectly seasoned. The barbecue pork also had great flavor and also was seasoned perfectly, though unfortunately I can't do even the most mild of spicy, so even tho there were only a few red pepper flakes, they made it a little bit challenging for me to eat. The fried okra was cooked and seasoned perfectly and not at all oily and the potato salad was also really tasty. I also tasted their coleslaw and mac and cheese from Hubs dinner and both were delicious as well. Also loved their sweet tea, I got it 25% sweet . The biggest surprise was the large basket of tasty hush puppies brought to our table the minute we sat down, and refilled. Also delicious and seasoned perfectly. The location is very homey and diner like, with just a handful of tables so you may have to wait, though luckily we didn't. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was they served their sides in styrofoam containers versus reusable dishes like they use for their main courses. I do love that they're using reusable dishes for their mains so it seems like they could also do this for their sides. Less trash for the restaurant and better for the world... .

It's pricey but good quality and large portions. The sliders are huge. Don't mistake them for being small. Plenty of parking in a shared lot by the garage. Tables are easy to maneuver around with an assistive device. Would come back. I have 4 stars because it took a long time. I suppose good food takes time but it also takes the fast out of fast food to wait 15 + minutes for a small order. I'll be better prepared next time. I also deducted because the bathrooms were nasty and there was no toilet paper in the stall. It says to flush twice and it's apparent people didnt because the toilet was stopped up and I couldn't get myself to use it. Then finding no toilet paper was enough to make me skip it all together. I would definitely make it a littler easier with the pick up. First off we couldn't hear what number they called and some of us older folk can't remember numbers. I had to get my receipt to confirm the number because I couldn't remember if it was 5 or 6 or what. Then the order came and looked nothing like I expected and I had to check again to make sure I had the right number. If they can keep the bathrooms clean and call the numbers a little louder, I think it would help a bit.
