It has a pharmacy, photo center and vision center but does not have a tire & lube. At 7am on a weekday, the store was in good shape with shelved merchandise and no queue at the register. The restrooms are at the back of the store. Miss Helen would be disappointed as they were needing a good servicing with paper on the floor and in the sink. I've experienced better. The owners will change the dates on meats and Cubans. Will not allow dates to be places on deli items such as potato salad, banana puddings. Meat, bad meat, pulled from meat case, stored in the deli for the next day to use as lunch. Food cooked, served In a hot bar, then saved for next day or days. Owners will run the register, then serve you food with out taking the time to wash their hands. Serving food to customers with no hair nets and a baby hanging off of a hip. Owners charge you if you drop something from the shelve and it breaks. He won't tell you that you are being charged, but you will be. The out side smoker grill has not been thoroughly cleaned since Scott owned the store 2 years + ago. The bottom of the smoker still has rotting food, bones and corn husks cooked well over a year ago. Uses food stamps to allow customers to buy beer and ciggs. Doesn't allow real bleach to be used. Dishes are always greasy, kitchen is nasty. Aprons and rags are used, but not cleaned. Cobbwebbs everywhere. The feed shed smells of urine and rotting rats. Feed bags and hay are covered with feces.. and rat droppings. Their baby chews and slobbers on items that are put back on the shelf for sale. Owners are clueless and RUDE. They talk bad bout anyone and everyone. Definitely NOT helping the community with anything. Say they are not ' A charity" Highest prices around.. bad meat, rotten food, rude owners, and if you mention how high the prices are, they will tell you to go and not come back. The only reason they have had any success in staying open is due to the employees they have or had who stood with them, helped them, showed them and worked extra hard for that local business owner. Only to have them treat employees like trash. What they don't realize is that Norma and Jr. Are the actual back bone of Fowlers. But they treat them like they are nobody's. How's that for your friendly, working man's neighborhood grocery store.

I recently placed a large order for a gathering I hosted. The order was complete and ready at the time I requested. The sandwiches were delicious! The gathering was successful thanks to the hard work & dedication of the Publix staff who prepared the food. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent and made with high quality ingredients. The shelves are normally pretty full and it looks nice inside. The cake we ordered tastes good and Publix made it exactly how I wanted it for my daughter's birthday. I was worried it wouldn't be ready in time because her birthday is the day after Christmas but it was actually ready 2 hours before. I love this Publix and will visit again soon!

She had a whole week, I go to pick it up Friday June 14th, nothing, no cake, no order it's as if I was never there. I'm confused as to how something like this could occur and why, why did she not (after the long conversation) put my cake order in. Luckily (or not so lucky) I was able to put the order in again because my party was on the 15th. I pick up the cake on the 15th before my party just to see that whoever did the EkG rhythm did awful, so awful! If you do not know how to do a certain design that is in the publix bakery book that you can order by the way, do not do it! I will never order a cake from this bakery again, so unprofessional and do horrible work. I was stuck with an awful looking cake! I placed cake toppers that I bought from Amazon that made the top of the cake look nice, but whichever lady did the EKG rhythms, you should not design cakes and you should be ashamed that you didn't care about the person you were doing the cake for! So everyone Knows, I myself decorated the top of the cake. The EKG Rhythm is what Publix Bakery in Lake placid did and as you can see did a horrible job! If you're a medical professional do not have this bakery do your cake design they either do not submit your order or do not know how to create designs that you can pick out of the book.
