    Injury of my dog
    Lori M.

I had dropped off my dog at doggie daycare at Circle Kennel Club. He was dropped off on a Thursday at 9:00am and stayed overnight in a kennel. I picked him up the next morning immediately at 6:30am. I came home and slept for a couple hours and I worked into that previous morning. When I got up I brought my dog outside to potty. He was hesitant to go. So I started walking him around, I noticed that he kept stopping and turning his head to his side. Looking over my dog, I noticed he had the large laceration and about an inch and half of missing fur by his lower shoulder area. The laceration and his skin/fur area had blood and pus type dried on. I called the daycare and told them about the injury. They said they would report it too the owner, Ginny. While at the emergency vet the owner of Circle Kennel Club, Ginny called me. We discussed what my dogs injury was and why he is being treated. I asked the owner if anyone noticed the injury on my dog when he left. She said no. I asked when and what could have caused the laceration on my dog and if they could check cameras. She said that the laceration could have came from a plastic rope tie that secured the privacy curtain around the kennel. The owner also stated that the have 78 kennels and do not have anyone watching them at all while the dogs are in overnight kennels. There are no cameras in the kennel area. So my dog could have been injured in a kennel for 11 hours or more!!!!That Friday I spent 3 hours at the emergency vet hospital and I was 2 1/2 hours late for work because of the injury. Fast forward.....I understand I signed the waiver at daycare for my dog. $0 reimbursement cost for the emergency vet $$$ and for being late for work$$$. But I asked the owner, Ginny for reimbursement of left over dog daycare sessions. I had purchased 30 day/session (total cost was $368.98 tax and tip is included) doggie daycare. The more sessions you purchase the cheaper the price. Makes it $11 or $12 a day. TEXT from owner: *I will give you a refund on your left over punches, when you get a refund, you revert back to a full daycare charge of $19 per day, you do not get a discount, so your refund will be $174 + tax. You used 9 days, times $19, from the $345 you pd.* I did not except the partial discount. My dog was injured while he was in their care. No one would bring their dogs back to a business that their pet was injured at. I went to Circle Kennel Club to pick up all dog's belongings. In my dogs backpack a note from one of the employees wrote that my dog didn't want to eat today (so he did not eat that day or the 11 plus hours overnight in the kennel). I was told from the owner that my dog was feed, given water and taken out to potty before he was kenneled. While waiting to get my dogs belongings, one of the employees said Ginny (the owner) will have my check ready. I said I am not excepting that check. I walked into Ginny's office and told her that I am not excepting the check as it lower then what she owes me. Immediately she started yelling at me that she does not even have to reimburse anything. I was completely shocked. I told her that she is a business owner and that she lacks the professionalism of one. Days pass and the owner, Ginny texts me back: *First of all, I apologize I got upset yesterday, that is not my style. I feel really bad Boomer was injured, we have put a plan into action to ensure it will never happen again. No injury is ever ok. I will agree as long as you don't badmouth us or give any bad reviews. Finally, you will not return for any service.* Really, yes this is what the owner of Circle Kennel Club texted me.... Do not bring your dog here. I caught them in numerous lies about how they "cared for my dog." They do not have enough employees to watch all dogs, unprofessional owner(s), and I feel that Circle Kennel Club is not a safe place for doggie daycare or to kennel your dog. I never received my refund either. So the monetary loss from the emergency vet, loss of wages, loss of unused doggie daycare sessions, and the pain my dog endured waiting for me to pick him up....

I told them he was very good natured but didn't know how he would react to a bath. They said it would be a couple of hours so they could make sure he was totally dry. in about a half hour I got a call from the groomer and she yelled over the phone that we had to pick him up immediately and he was never welcome back because he bit her. She yelled that there was blood everywhere. When we arrived he was in his crate on the counter and still wet. The groomer came out with a small bandaid on her finger and continued yelling at us. She said he bit her when she turned the blow dryer on him. She told us that we were banned from the store(as if we'd ever come back) and also yelled that she was calling animal control on us (which I knew she couldn't do). Obviously she didn't understand cats at all. Later on I took him to a professional groomer at my vets and she told me that she would never ever turn a blow dryer on a cat. She told me that 90% of cats won't tolerate a blow dryer. In the past we have spent a lot of money at Petsmart for our other cat and have donated to every charity that they sponsored. Petco is our new go-to store and grooming will only be done by a professional at our vet.

Watched her through the glass for a few mins and left. 30 mins later Jamie the salon manager called and said she's bleeding on her ear. They finally stopped the bleeding but since she has an open sore. She needs to be picked up. They can't groom her. When I arrived they said she was bleeding when she came in. She scratched herself. In no way was she bleeding when she came in. She's white. I would have seen it. Also why wait 30 mins to call me and say she's bleeding. Would you have noticed when you looked her over upon her arrival. They obviously cut her ear when they started. No apologies from Jamie. Just that it was my fault it seemed. Please don't go here. I love my pet. Big brick and mortar stores don't have the kind of attention that small groomers have. Stay away from this place.

Upon entering the…read morestore I was greeted with a dirty look from an employee wearing a fanny pack (brunette, glasses, no name tag, go figure!) Hey, I get it, everyone has bad days but come on. I barely stepped foot in the store at that point. After that encounter, I was on a mission to find food for my dogs and be out of the store quick as I had other errands that day. However, when I went to use the restroom, I had to walk all the way to the front of the store in order to get a key. When I got to the front, the same woman that gave me a nasty look was there. She was very insistent on trying to get my ID which I didn't feel comfortable with. She then proceeded to say I needed to give her something of value in order to get the key. I handed over my health insurance card and she argued there wasn't value for that but caved and allowed me to get the key. The fact that there even had to be a mini disagreement over the value of a card to use the restroom is ridiculous. Also, I my wife whom passes as white has NEVER been asked for her ID in order to use the restroom at that specific location. She needs to be retrained or fired for her lack of regard for customers. She is racist, it's clear since my wife was never asked for her ID. I won't be returning to this location. All in all, the cashier I had at the end was very kind and I had no issues with her, just the other fanny pack woman.

We walked around Lambeau Field with the dogs the day before the Draft and realized that the NFL doesn't allow animals inside the Draft Experience. We needed to find a boarding facility on short notice. I found Sara's Yelp site and texted her our situation. She responded promptly and requested our dogs vaccination records. That was my first clue that she was a legitimate, responsible boarding facility. I texted her the records and she stated that she did have room for our dogs. We arrived and she brought the dogs right into the outdoor play area to let them get familiar with their surroundings. Sara is a top notch trainer. We have 25 years experience with Rottweilers and training with them and she knew exactly how to interact with our pups. We were impressed. We had a very nice discussion about our pups needs and quirks and she had zero issues with our dogs. Leyna loves everyone, so she greeted Sara with lots of kisses. Bozco is our old man and takes awhile to warm up to you. We left the dogs and a couple of hours later, I texted Sara to see how they were and she told me that Bozco loves Sara to pet him, so that's awesome. We are taking them back there this morning for us to attend Day 2 of the Draft festivities without any hesitation or second thoughts. Sara is fantastic with your animals and she definitely knows what she's doing. Just an FYI, her fees are very reasonable.
