Poochies and Mutts was able to get my dog in when I accidentally waited till the last minute for boarding a couple years ago. Since that time we have not gone elsewhere. Their staff is amazing, caring, and so an accommodating. My dog Peppermint Patty's growing excitement when drive up tells me she loves it too!! It really is wonderful to not worry when on vacation but check in on the camera when missing her big time. read more

I do NOT recommend. I called the establishment the aug 21st to reserve a spot. Saturday comes aug 24th they say they don't have anything reserve for him and they can't take him because of his breed when i spoke with someone previously and told them his breed and everything else they needed to know. the staff wasn't helpful at all. read more

We have been using Poochies and Mutts for 12 years. They have a staff that cares and have been with them for a long time. Koda and Gunnar have enjoyed coming up from Chicago to the dog Spa. Our dogs are well taken care of and see Gunnar spending many overnight stays with them. They do a great job. read more

This was my first time taking our dog here. Our dog can be anxious, but the staff handled him so well and learned his behavior very quickly. They let dogs calm down before putting them in the play area with the other dogs. There were a few different play areas to keep the dogs busy ranging from a rock climbing hill to a pool area. They have all of the animas on a play and nap time schedule, but they get to play majority of the day. They have live cameras so you can check on your pet which is nice. I noticed the staff keeps the play areas and sleeping areas spotless. Picking my dog up, I noticed he seemed unusually clean for being around so many dogs for a week. I called and they had given him a complimentary bath. The experience was beyond my expectations and I will be taking my dog back. read more

Awesome! We just adopted a dog from the Humane Society in Milwaukee (they're awesome, by the way) and was hoping to get our new boy in for a bath. I called on Dec. 23rd and spoke to an extremely nice and friendly woman named Tina (Trina, maybe?). Initially we were going to get him in on Saturday after Christmas but to my surprise, she said she could squeeze him in on Christmas Eve. Sweet! We dropped him off at 9am on Christmas Eve and the facility is clean, well kept and has a very friendly staff. We had to fill out some paperwork and provide vet records for the boy. Once all that was taken care of, he was taken back to the common area where the other dogs were and placed in a pretty large fenced in area separate from the other dogs. I loved that he wasn't put in a small kennel or cage. We were told that he'd be done around 1pm but were pleasantly surprised when we got a call around 11:30 that he was good to go! We picked him up and he was clean, smelled great and a happy, happy boy. I was SHOCKED when the total only came to a little over $30! I was expecting more like $50 since he's a big boy. Poochies and Mutts is our go to spot for grooming for sure. We're new to town and always excited when we find a good business to patronize. This is one of them! read more

I brought my dog Cooper here to get his coat thinned out He is a golden retriever and has a double coat which cannot be shaved or he can get sunburn and overheat. I specifically told the groomer not to shave him, not to touch his feathers and not to touch his tail. She shaved him poorly he has no hair left, no feathers, and cut his tail.When I called to complain she said she was confused, so instead of calling and asking she shaved my entire dog and didn't even offer a refund just kept saying sorry I was confused. Do not bring your dog here I now have to call the vet to see what I can do to prevent him from getting sunburn because we are such an active family. I am furious. read more

Brought my dog here once for the afternoon and when I arrived to pick him up a few hours later, his foot was all bandaged up. I asked what happened and they said that he had cut the pad of his foot and it was bleeding pretty bad. I was not happy and would have appreciated a phone call as I WAS in town and I told them that prior to leaving (met a friend for lunch and shopping) and would have come gotten him earlier and taken him to the vet. They just shrugged it off and handed me my dog like it wasn't a big deal. Not impressed at all and will never return. read more

Wow -- amazing experience here this weekend! I was traveling in for work, and had an event down in Appleton but had NO idea what I was going to do with my two dachshunds traveling with. Since the girls were going to be staying with me in my hotel, I really didn't want to board them overnight anywhere. And I couldn't leave them unattended in the hotel room. Panicking...panicking... I tried call a few places in GB & Appleton, but all wanted the overnight options. (My event was from 5pm to 10pm) And lo and behold, driving on the 29 I saw a billboard for Poochies & Mutts. Last ditch effort I called, and the super super friendly voice on the other line said "No problem!" They have an "After Hours" system where you get access to a secured door to pick up your pups, if need be. Seriously.. this was heaven sent! And worked out perfectly for my unique situation. The girls were able to spend quality time in the daycare with the other canines - - and then were able to comfortably sleep/wait until my arrival. Next time I'm in Green Bay, I'll definitely bring my girls here! The staff was extremely friendly and more than accommodating for me. Awesome service!! read more

I love love love this place. I have been coming here for years whenever I am in town visiting family. A couple years ago I had my my dogs and cat there as always. My cat was 19yrs old and required me to give him fluids under the skin every couple days. They were so understanding and allowed me full access to him whenever I needed it and let me use the room behind the cattery. No questions asked. They even allowed me to store my IV and other items there. Also in the past I have has my dogs bathed and groomed before picking them up. They know I am heading out of town after picking up them up so they always did what they could to get them ready the earliest possible so we could get on the road. This trip I only have our new puppy and only did daycare but they are as friendly and wonderful as always. No doubt in my mind I will continue coming here whenever I'm in town. read more

We were up in Green Bay for the weekend and we brought Maggie with us. We were going to leave her at my boyfriend's mom's house, but his mom's 5 miniature dachshund's weren't very welcoming. So, we wanted to bring Maggie to day care so she wasn't alone in the hotel room all day. Anyway, I found Poochies and Mutts online. They were really friendly and the facilities were great. They also have a web cam options, but I wasn't by a computer so I could watch her play. But I really like this feature. Maggie came home tired, which was great for the 4 hour car ride home. If I lived in Green Bay, I would come here all the time. read more

I am appalled at how unprofessional this business was to me during a rather lengthy telephone conversation... I called pooches and mutts hoping to find a place for my 2 year old lab (and possible terrier/pit bull mix) to stay for a few hours while I attended a hockey game in Green Bay. I was staying with my grandparents in Pulaski for the remainder of the Thanksgiving weekend but due to Chicago traffic, I could not drop him off at my grandparents and make it to the game on time. I was quickly asked the breed of my dog and replied that he was a lab mix. Mind you, his paperwork says lab but we have been told by others at our dog park and our trainer that he looks to have terrier/pit bull in him as well. Being an honest person, I told him that he may be mixed with terrier/pit bull. After hearing this, he proceeded to call me a "LIAR" - stating "you're trying to pass a pit bull off as a lab". Along with this, he stated that "I have a problem with pit bull owners, they are all liars" and that pit bulls are not welcome at his establishment because of this. I tried to explain to him that our dog's paperwork says "labrador retriever and mix" and that he does not look anything like a purebred pit bull but I merely wanted to be honest and tell him that others have suggested he may be mixed with pit bull. The man did not want to listen to a word of this - he insisted that I was a liar and questioned why I did not board him back at home (silly question, I didn't want to be away from him for the whole Thanksgiving holiday!). To make matters worse, as I tried to get off the phone with him he progressed to sarcastically tell me many times that I would understand "when I grow up". The real kicker was when I mentioned that I was so upset at the way he was treating me that I would like to write a review of this to warn others, his reply was a sarcastic, "Oh, you're scaring the pants off of me!". The man that I talked to was extremely disrespectful to me and prejudiced toward owners of a specific breed of dog. If the man that I talked to treated another human this poorly, I can only imagine how he might treat a dog. read more

I've taken my two dogs here a few times. I really like that they let me bring them in for a test run to see how they would react to being in an area with more dogs before they had their complete stay over a weekend. They have cameras in the play rooms so you can check in on your fur babies whenever you like during the play session times and if you book a room with a camera you can see them too. When it comes to time forpickup to go home they are all tired out from all of the fun they had during their stay. read more

All I have to say is this place is fantastic. The staff is kind and extremely helpful (especially Becky whom I worked with) and they acted quickly to help us when we were in a bind to find a comfortable and safe place for our chocolate lab, Argos. Their pet accommodations are clean, safe and comfortable. There staff is efficient and extremely kind. I highly recommend for those who want to make the best choice for their furry ones. read more

Just an FYI to people "boarding" their dogs .... they put them in their kennels at 4PM until 8AM!!! Unacceptable and when I spoke to Amy the "owner" she thought that amounted to 12 hours! She obviously has zero clue how to add let alone that is way too much time in a kennel! Extremely disappointed in this establishment and will never board, day care or groom again! Have been going there for over a year with a golden doodle who deserves better! Employees are very nice so at least she gets a one star for them. read more

I brought my shiba in for a free 4 hour pass. She seemed to have a good time. Usually she's in a home kennel during the day and when I get home, she obnoxious with cooped up energy. Today, she's now home tired and our night is going to be peaceful. Love it and I'll be bringing her back for playtime again and again. read more

We boarded our dog here while staying in Green Bay and couldn't have been happier! Super friendly staff, clean environment in main rooms and in overnight boarding area (!), nice to be able to check in on our pet via the cameras, * outstanding * grooming experience (we have never seen our dog so well groomed... his ears were dry, nails were done immaculately including trimming of fur on the feet). Our dog typically gets anxious at his boarding/daycare place and he was completely happy at Poochies and Mutts. We really need to call out the high quality of this place for other potential customers!! This is the best we have experienced and wish we had something of this high quality in our area. read more

Brought my golden retriever here for a weekend. She is a very shy and skittish dog but is ok around other dogs and people. She has been boarded before with no ill effects. We had a friend pick her up as we would not be home by noon to get her. Well when we got home to our dog she smelled terrible, and was extremely sick. Throwing up, the runs and just not herself. We called Poochies and Mutts the next day and told them how our dog was sick. Apparently she was like this the entire weekend wouldn't eat, throwing up and the runs. They said the yellow stains on her paws was bile from when she threw up, said they gave her a bath but she did it again, but by her smell I highly doubt it. Best part is, they didn't even mention any of this upon arrival to pick her up, we had to find all this out after the fact, and wouldn't have known she was sick all weekend if we hadn't made that phone call. I will never be taking my pet there again. read more
