I've been a circle medical virtual patient for 5 months now. I've seen my medical provider a total of 3 times. It's very convenient for me to schedule an appointment that works with my schedule. My PCP does a great job at checking up on my medical needs thoroughly checking my medical history and caring about my urgent medical conditions. I typically do a lab test and my PCP summarizes the results. The circle medical mobile app is awesome because it makes it easy to pay my bill, contact my PCP, request an appointment and see my lab results. Although, It is sometimes buggy when it comes to video calls and refuses to connect the call. read more

I have now called, and messaged on the app over a dozen times, including providing my full bank statement history, and a note from my bank itself, and I continue to not be refunded the $500 owed from appointments that were double paid by me and insurance. The online representatives just continue to state that it has been refunded without reviewing the evidence I've provided that it has not been. Can you please escalate this to have a representative work to actually resolve this? I don't know what to do other than small claims court at this point because I need this money to pay for my healthcare, especially with my recent purchase of a wheelchair. As a chronically ill, disabled person, it is taking energy I don't have to keep fighting for money that is not Circle Medical's to keep. I love my doctor, but don't want to continue to use Circle Medical if it means putting my money at risk and dealing with so much unnecessary stress. read more

$120 for a 10-minute call where they did absolutely nothing. I paid $120 for a mental health video visit explicitly to get a medication refill I have been taking safely for years. The entire call lasted around 10 minutes. During that time, after full disclosure of my medical history, I was simply told that Circle Medical cannot prescribe anything and that I should "find a psychiatrist elsewhere." That's it. No refill. No temporary prescription. No medical care of any kind. If certain medical histories automatically disqualify patients from receiving any treatment on this platform, that information should be stated clearly and upfront, before payment, not revealed after charging patients. Charging $120 for a short call whose sole purpose is to turn the patient away is not "care." It feels deceptive, predatory, and especially inappropriate for mental health services. Based on my experience, Circle Medical should be avoided for psychiatric care, medication refills, or anything requiring actual treatment. read more

I have had overall a decent experience with Circle. The staff has been nice and helpful overall, but with some delays hence the three stars. Also, I had to stay on top of them to get my pharmaceutical prior authorization and appeal complete, which was stressful. Courtney Randolph is the nurse practitioner that I see and she has been really great. I recently started a weight loss journey. Courtney is very informative and is a big advocate for her patients. I really appreciate her. One more thing I don't like about the practice is that you can't message your provider directly. You always have to create a ticket or jump through hoops to communicate through the provider. Either that, or book an appointment, which is very inconvenient, and has a cost attached to it. Other than those things, circle and Courtney have provided me good care on my weight loss journey. read more

I absolutely love my doctor, and even have my husband now seeing a doctor through Circle Medical. But when there is an issue with a prescription, it's a nightmare to deal with. I've had issues in the past with things like this, but after today I am absolutely appalled at the care I've received waiting for them to confirm my prescription with the pharmacist. My pharmacist called Circle Medical Friday to get a confirmation for my prescription (which I am all out of). I went Saturday an hour and a half out of town to my pharmacy to pick up my prescription as I normally do, and she said she still hadn't gotten ahold of my doctor. I contacted Circle Medical through chat to check in about this, and this morning (Monday) at 8am received a response saying that they were getting to work on my prescription and would remedy that issue today. So my husband made the hour and a half trip over to run some errands in that town while waiting to get my prescription when it was ready. I checked in periodically throughout the entire day and received timely responses reassuring me that it was marked as urgent, that the call to my pharmacy would be made soon, and that they would let me know when it was done. I checked in at about 1pm, and the rep said "...they will call soon." At 2:41pm I said my husband was on his way to the pharmacy at that point because he needed to start heading home, and couldn't keep waiting. At 2:45pm I was told my prescription was "at the top of the queue" and that they would call my pharmacy "shortly." My husband continued to wait at the pharmacy which Circle Medical was aware of. The last update was 3:07pm where I was reassured "someone should reach out to you here in regards to it being filled shortly." So my husband continued to wait around rather than heading home. Well, Circle Medical closes at 5pm. So it hit 5pm, I called my pharmacy and they said both pharmacists were *still* unable to get ahold of anyone with Circle Medical. (Also, during the last 25 minutes before Circle Medical closed, I called their office phone number where I spent the entire time on hold. It kept telling me I was next in line throughout the entire 25 minutes, then right at 5pm it forwarded me to just leave a message because they were closed.) I have worked in customer service, I am extremely patient with people in these situations and I realize when issues aren't necessarily the poor rep's fault. The rep I had been chatting with was helpful, attentive and kind. They seemed to do all they could on their end during their shift. BUT. I am appalled that this was the end result, that no one took this over and ensured it was addressed. And to imagine that people just clocked out and moved on with life completely leaving us hanging. This was something marked as urgent by the rep, was supposedly "next in the queue" at 2:45pm, and only required a brief phone call to simply verify directly with my pharmacist. Circle tells you to use the app. It's not helpful. Do not recommend this service. They charge for services and won't refund. I'm not allowed to use the service any longer. I'm still on parents insurance. And they sent out massive emails to workforce and HR warning of how bad the billing is. My GP there is amazinggg and wonderful and I will never leave as long as she's there. Anita has got wonderful grandma vibes, and she knows her stuff too. She's helped me with sleep issues and just feeling taken care of. Circle platform online itself is easy, clean, efficient and tech savvy. The customer service is great when I'm trying to find an appt at short notice. Circle in person was also great when I visited in SF for covid shots etc. Equally efficent, clean, but not as big and icky as a hospital at all. More felt like a sterile tech office, which is probably as much as you can expect. read more

My LPT is recommending everyone to avoid this place at all costs, especially if you are a patient in need of routine care and follow-ups. Two weeks after my last review, a member of their leadership team reached out to me about my Yelp review and said they'd get my billing problem corrected immediately. This months-long issue that I'd been dealing with from January to March 2024 was literally corrected by the next day after contact from their leadership team. I was hopeful that this meant there would be some internal retro on what went wrong and how to avoid this all in the future. This has NOT been the case. Nothing has changed, and there is some deep dysfunction in this company because you still can't get a response within a few hours; if someone does respond, they immediately close the thread even though the issue hasn't been resolved; if they bother to have some back-and-forth with you, they still refuse to take responsibility for their billing errors. This place does NOT care about you as a patient, or even as a paying customer, at all. They don't care about the stress, the wasted hours and months, the negligence they inflict upon you. I'm currently dealing with another upcoded bill -- yes, they can't seem to bill a SOP (standard operating procedure) PCP visit correctly and consistently, or is it intentional that my bill was upcoded? because that's called medical billing fraud -- and have been trying to get resolution since August. I've asked countless times for my invoice to be put on hold while the bill is in dispute. I was ignored, and my card was automatically charged (because you are required to have a card on file, of course). I asked for a refund because the bill is in dispute -- also completely ignored. I've opened dozens of threads and will literally be in the middle of a chat conversation, and the moment I make either of the two aforementioned requests, the chat agents literally ghost me and don't respond to me in the same thread even when I follow-up a day later. There are tons of other reviews (and Reddit threads) of people complaining about the same thing. If you are not a patient here yet, RUN. If you've been chained to their system like I have because you actually like the healthcare providers in their network, well, maybe it's still time to get out of this toxic relationship. read more

This is convenient if you have a parking place or work nearby. Fortunately I can park at my husband's work garage, and I love my GP there! It's a calm, clean, relaxing atmosphere and they have been on time, courteous, professional every visit. Otherwise, I would not think it's easy to get to. Tip: if you arrive early, you can walk down to Banana Republic and Gap to shop, or take a walk at Salesforce park. read more

I went to an appointment for severe coughing. They said it's allergies without any tests and gave me allergy pills then recommended a flu and covid shot. Since they are a provider I trusted their advice but my sickness got worse and I felt horrible for a week. As far as I know you shouldn't get vaccinated when you're sick, so I don't trust their recommendations anymore. Then I scheduled a follow up to see what is going on. They cancelled my appointment the day of and it was an urgent matter. Next time I was 7 minutes late and they have a 10 min late policy and they weren't able to see me. They said the email was wrong. Totally unprofessional. I really hope they won't charge me a late fee when their email is wrong. Update: They will not charge me a late fee. They marked it as a cancellation. read more

I told my PCP that I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown due to a co-worker bullying me, and needed something to take the edge off to get me through what I'm currently going through. She did a depression assessment, said I was moderately depressed, and she asked me why I was taking work home with me, I told her because I work from home, she suggested me quitting, and I told her I shouldn't have to do that. She then did some research on WebMD while I was still on the video call with her, and she suggested keeping my anxiety levels down and said to take my already prescribed Propranolol, which is an adrenaline blocker and ended the call by saying she'd pray for me. Having a PCP who consults WebMD scares me, and now I'll need to find a new provider and will not continue receiving care from Circle Medical. read more

I set an appointment and completed all of the pre-registration requirements. I received a message that said I would receive an email from the doctor with a link for the appointment. I sat at my computer for 15 minutes prior to the appointment waiting for the link to arrive and it never showed. Ten minutes later, I get a message saying that I was charged $50 for not showing up to the appointment that Circle Medical never sent to me. Now I need to take time out of my day to get back money from this scam of an operation. read more

This is a review of the company at large. I went to the Beverly Hills clinic a few times, and the care was fine enough. But when I went into the app a few weeks later to book another appointment, the location was just gone. Not a word from Circle Medical. No email, no message, nothing. Just gone. Now the closest location is in San Francisco, which btw, the app tried to have me book an appointment in. That's 400 miles away. Also, the app is AI chatbot-driven. Reaching a live human whenever you have a concern is a frustrating hassle. This became a problem when, months after their office shuttered without a word, I get a random charge for $100. Never saw a bill. Circle Medical just charged my card without permission. This bill made no sense, since I haven't seen Circle Medical in months seeing as THEY ARE CLOSED. Reaching a human being to get them to refund this erroneous charge was hard enough, but the amount of back and forth just to correct their mistake took over a week, and all over chat. I had to badger them every day for days until it was finally corrected. This medical group is scammy. They have other locations, but save yourself the hassle and go anywhere else! read more

No one has ever adequately reached out to help me -- I've just received what has seemed to be bots. I literally just received a bill for a visit from almost a year ago -- March of 2024. And, it's also being charged at an in-network rate. Leads one to wonder yet again why only ONE of my monthly visits in over 3 years was charged the full rate. Answer: it shouldn't have! I went through my credit charges from Circle and the billing is off -- some appointments were billed months later and then all at once, which made it hard to track. Something is seriously off here. I stopped using them after my last billing debacle which still has not been resolved. Save yourself the headache and AVOID. read more

They have 1 dr, and when you make an apt to renew your meds in time, they cancel it and tell you that you can just pay out of pocket and see another dr. They did this 4 times to me so far. Their next available apt isn't for 6 weeks away... so now I'm 2 months without medication. They are not a reliable company. I would just go to your regular dr and save yourself the hassle. I work 6 days a week with off on Sunday, so the online thing was my best option. I'm done with circle meds. read more

I waited more than 48 hours for a reply, only to be told to keep chatting instead of picking up the phone.* My latest bill was incorrect, and resolving it has been an uphill battle. I've had terrific care over the last 4 years from Dr. Nicholas Cohen (no longer with Circle Medical) and Dr. Meera Shukla. Unfortunately, the billing and support teams are an absolute mess. I had an appointment in February in which my doctor ordered lab work and wrote in the appropriate codes for reimbursement. In August, I received a $660 bill from labcorp saying the insurance company didn't pay the claim. I went back and forth between contacting Circle, Labcorp, and Aetna and finally Aetna told me that the bill should have been paid but Circle failed to send the documentation multiple times. I've tried using the chat in the app and calling and they make it remarkably difficult to get any help. I'm still trying to get a hold of anyone at Circle Medical who will help me and I'll update this review if anyone ever gets in touch. read more

The staff is professional and actually shows up to appointments (I've had a bad experience with other firms in the past). They actually listen to you about what you're experiencing. I had an appointment with a nurse practitioner at Circle Medical today. It went very badly. She was scatterbrained and could not take a history properly. She was obsessed with with determining if I had ever been diagnosed with anxiety and considered that a no-go for prescribing ADHD meds. She contradicted herself constantly and her clinical notes contained severe errors. She would barely let me speak. I was more-or-less subjected to a 30 minute lecture and interrogation. Circle Medical also misrepresented their ADHD intake process. Apparently they take a minimum of three appointments just to do the intake. This contradicted what I was told before making an appointment. Their app was buggy and very difficult to use. read more

This company is fraudulent. Do not come here for anything. Here's why - after I had an appointment, they autocharged my credit card for the full few hundred dollars of the service provided. Even though they knew I had primary insurance and told me they would bill my primary insurance. Then when I told them to refund me and charge my insurance, they said they would look into it and it would take 4-6 weeks to resolve. Literally I have never seen any provider autobill a patient who HAS INSURANCE and then refuse to refund that patient. Providers always submit claims to insurance first, they don't take it out of the patient's bank account first. This is fraudulent. Do not trust them. Do not go here. read more
