I adopted a guinea pig from them that had parasites and a skin infection from it. They're super contagious and thus spread to the guinea pig I already had at home. Both guinea pigs are seniors and it's scary and awful they both are still undergoing treatment to keep them mite and lice free. Not only will they not help with the vet bills due to their "screw you for adopting from us" policy they won't take any of the guinea pigs that were housed near the one I adopted at the time to the vet. I'd be shocked if they currently don't have parasites as well. I was given a lame excuse that "nothing was noticed when cleaning cages" and they don't have the resources for it. Funny how they're supposed to have people who went to school for animal care there but someone like me picked up on that something was wrong so shortly after adoption. My guinea pig came in with another male. They were separated due to fighting and I saw that other male was adopted. By any chance if you adopted the guinea pig "Tot", he needs a vet ASAP. I asked that you be informed by the Tri County staff about the parasites and they won't do it. Their staff is also toxic and abusive. A woman named Sara Morales is vet tech there and will attack anyone on Facebook who dares to speak out about any bad experiences. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

This post office is by far the worst one I have ever been to. That is saying allot since I lived in Chicago for 7 years and have seen my share of bad and ornery postal workers. They have horrible customer service I don't know if it's the lack of training or just people judging me based on how I look. I get it I don't look like everyone around here ,but that is no reason to treat me like scum. I worked in a UPS Store for 2 years I understand shipping I shipped USPS probably 30 times a day so I am completely familiar with how things work .When I walked in I didn't have time to write the address on the package so I asked her for a stick-able address label to write it on there. She handed me a priority mail address label so I cut the top off that said priority since I would not be sending the package that way. I walk up to the counter with the package and stated I wanted to send this Standard post. She immediately got an attitude with me and claimed regardless of removing where it said priority I had to send it that way. I said well I'm sorry I couldn't really write on the package with a ballpoint pen. She responded "Well for future reference you can take a marker remove the cap and write directly onto the package". Then proceeded to get me the prices. She then told me it would $14 to ship standard post something I know was not even half that price. When I explained I checked the price online she said well obviously you didn't know what you were doing because this is the price. I walked out the door found someone with a printer and guess what I shipped this standard post for $4.98 and it got there fine. Don't even waste your time they are idiots here. I got my printer fixed and wont have to deal with this place ever again.

It took about an hour to get through the museum. There's a couple of buildings and things to see outside of the main museum. They also have a great gift shop where I was able to get a couple of postcards! There's a free parking lot and in summer they have picnic tables in the courtyard. You can bring your own picnic lunch or they have a list of restaurants that'll deliver to the museum! When I visited the museum in summer 2020, they required your information for contact tracing. Not sure what covid-protocals they have in place now, but they definitely took it seriously! Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Alexandria!
