Not much to say, as it's just a friggen gas station with a deli. It will always hold a special place in my heart, however, being that this defined Main St in some ways on south campus.

It doesn't help the "new Franks" that there is a 7-11 directly across the street. Hopefully the new owners can make a go of it in this competitive, low-profit business that depends on sale volume.

So, if you are right around Main & Amherst, its pretty much the only one. As a result they can have prices slightly higher than those others, which are close to other stations so have more competition etc.

It's a perfectly decent gas station with average prices, I haven't seen any awesome discounts here, but I haven't seen it higher than elsewhere either. The cops often wait at this intersection or nearby to get people for doing 45+ in a 35, mainly students since this area is packed with student housing, so be really careful. As an aside, I'm not sure what sort of sport you would do while drinking Miller Lite, but whatever it would be, would be a MillerSport.

I've probably only been there once this year, though, and that's because the gas prices here are just too high for me. Delta Sonic and a few random Mobils and Sunocos are usually a good few cents cheaper, and don't get me started on the Indian Reservations in Akron, Sanborn, and Irving. There's a Gulf in class between some gas stations, and this has become one I usually don't frequent anymore.

Things are quite pricey & not a large selection of pre-made food. There is a LARGE selection of lottery tickets though, so if you're an instant scratch off lottery ticket addict, come to this store. They have a lot to choose from. The man who's usually in there is great. He's so nice & always jokes around.' The woman today, I've never seen her before. I mean, it has so much going for it. Whereas No-Co just has, um... gas pumps. This is the UB North location of NOCO in the sense that it's always filled with college students. The reason it scores lower than other NOCOs is because it has the same issues (slightly overpriced, and too busy), but with the added caveat of having one particularly unpleasant (male) cashier that seems angry every time you get something rung up by him. The other employees are okay. But there are much cheaper places to get gas anyway (try the reservation out by Akron).

The ladies behind the bar were also kind enough to let me try a couple of different samples before I made my decision, which is always appreciated. For food, I ordered the Blackened Chicken Sandwich. To be honest, it wasn't quite the style of blackened chicken I'm used to. It felt more like grilled chicken with Cajun seasoning than a true blackened preparation. That said, it was still a very enjoyable sandwich. The chicken was juicy, full of flavour, and not dry at all, and the bacon was cooked exactly the way I like it. The fries were nicely seasoned and paired perfectly with the meal. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with plenty of seating and lots of TVs, including some absolutely massive screens, making it a great place to catch other games while enjoying a beer. We got the Texas Trinity to share with the Brisket Biriyani and beans as our side. The biriyani was a rice with brisket and amazing flavor. I'm not usually a huge rice lover but truly enjoyed this! The ribs were to die for and fall off the bone and the kielbasa was delicious! We also got a side of cardamom cornbread ( melt in your mouth!) and the cowboy Mac which my boyfriend absolutely loved. My partner loved the bagel. We both enjoyed our afternoon coffee. The space is beautiful and cozy, it would be the perfect place to come and read or knock out some work. They have completely non-plastic to go cups which are unique looking and we loved the extra effort they put into sustainability. They have bags of their used coffee grounds for free if you need to add to your compost pile or whatever needs you might have. 10/10, will be back!
