This drugstore is getting a lot of negative press these days. I don't use them as my pharmacy, but…read moreI do stop in here every so often for something that I need. Whenever I come in, the staff are super pleasant, super helpful and eager to please. I find the store to be well organized and usually everything is put away and looks good. It does seem that they are slightly short staffed at times because there are times when there are boxes in the aisles and haven't yet been put away. They also seemed to have given up the parking lot, and now allow the parking lot to be used by many people. It's very generous of them and they don't have to do that. It also does make it slightly more difficult when you're actually shopping there to get a parking spot. That's an unfortunate side effect of the neighbors not being respectful of who the parking is being provided for.

I like coming to this Walgreens for the candy selection for holidays. They always have such a huge variety of bags of candy as well as single chocolates and things that you can pick out for stocking stuffers for Christmas and for Easter baskets on Easter. That's about the only reason why I come to this Walgreens that was for Candy. The employees are pretty nice ,a couple not so nice, but that's the way it is with every place pretty much. Their prices seem to have gone up since the last time I was here. Today though I had brought my mother in to do some shopping for Christmas in which she just happened to be buying all boxes of candy today so obviously it's good for candy for her too. I didn't look around it much else so I can't give a fresh opinion on anything else right now.

Overall I'm here often. Even during Covid. Too hard to change the pharmacy…read more Seriously Wegmans. You are a super loud store. Much louder than other supermarkets. You need to turn off the music around the pharmacy. It's too much with the carts on the tile, the Covid plastic and face masks. In fact, turn off the music all around. Make it easier to communicate with your staff throughout the store. 2 stars because whenever needed the pharmacists come speak with you. But 1 star for the NOISE. Update 21 2021

So if I'm at the pharmacy, I'm on death's door. I love Wegmans but I have now had back to back horrible experiences at this pharmacy. About six months ago I went in to pick up a prescription for antibiotics. I gave them my insurance card and the woman working there was totally baffled because it had no bin number. It was after 5 on a Friday and she had me call my insurance company but of course no one could help me at that time. After over 20 minutes of being in the phone and waiting at the counter, I said, with the last remaining strength in my body, "How much is it without insurance?" She tells, "Four dollars." ARE YOU KIDDINGLY ME?!? Here I am visibly ill, she's been watching the life slowly drain from my body, and she couldn't have brought that up? I paid the four dollars, took my medicine, and was feeling better hours later. Fast forward to present day. I'm sicker than I have ever been in my life. I don't know it yet, but I have pneumonia. It's 2pm on a Thursday and I get a prescription for cough syrup so I can stop shredding my throat to pieces. On the way out of the doctor's office I call Wegmans to see if my husband can pick it up for me because I'm just too sick. Their pharmacy closed at 1pm, instead of 9pm. I know it's Holy Thursday, but is that really a thing?!? They were open until 6pm on Good Friday. So we go to Walgreens after having the doctor's office reroute the prescription. We are there forever but no one mentioned my lack of bin number as a problem. Saturday I am leaving urgent care with my pneumonia diagnosis and two prescriptions and we are flying over to Wegmans because, while the doctor was reading my chest X-ray, I called to see when they close and sure enough, it was in 25 minutes. I get dropped at the door, I rush my diseased lungs to the pharmacy line. I step up to the counter and hand over my card. She says one drug is ready and one will take fifteen minutes (they close in 5). She looks at my insurance card and asks if I have another card with a bin number. I realize it's the same woman from six months ago. I'm dying. My husband, who has the EXACT same insurance and insurance card, is at the next register receiving his drugs. Tens of thousands of people have this insurance in Buffalo. She asks another person if they know how to enter it, she looks around the pharmacy, then says she has to call my insurance company. I'm visibly ill and can barely speak. She leaves me standing there, my lungs struggling to function (don't worry, pneumonia isn't contagious). A new guy comes to one of the registers and serves a dozen customers while we wait on our lady. I fantasize about asking him to intervene. I imagine him taking two seconds and handing me my Rx. It's on the tip of my lips...I want to say, "Can you please help Jessica?" but I can barely speak. At least 20 minutes pass. I develop a stabbing pain in my chest that is still with me three days later. She finally comes back. I pay my $5 copay and buy a box of the drug that wasn't ready...which is actually and over the counter medicine I grabbed off the shelf behind me. I go home with a full understanding of what happens if you over exert yourself with pneumonia. Maybe it's just the one employee, but if this problem can persist for six months, there's something wrong there. Why not teach her how to deal with this fairly common insurance? Why not teach her how to ask for assistance? Why didn't the 5 other employees see her struggling? Why didn't she let me sit down? So many questions. I got measurably sicker waiting on her and I am missing work because I got worse. Thanks, Wegmans.

Staff did not know and called on his intercom. The answer was yes and he sent me to the aisle. I found a few different kits that would be successful. I bought one and was on my way. This review is for the Pharmacy specifically, and for the Walgreens app…read more This pharmacy used to be open 24/7, which was a dream for anyone who works odd hours. I happen to work overnights, and ever since the Covid Era this pharmacy has had limited hours and staff. I used to be able to pick up my prescriptions before or after work - but not anymore. Now, they're closed when I wake up for work and they don't open until three hours after I get out of work. Because I am an adult with a life and other obligations: it is difficult for me to get to Walgreens to pick up my prescription at the very moment it is ready. I recently went into the pharmacy to pick up a script that the app said was ready and - they had cancelled it because I 'did not pick it up in time.' This is not the first time that this has happened to me. I promise I am not lazy, it is just impossible for me to get there the same day. If I have to wait a couple of days - screw me, I guess, because then the prescription has been cancelled and I have to wait 45+ minutes in the store for them to fill it again. On my most-recent trip, the cashier was...and I'm sorry to say this, but I didn't get her name...a hood-rat looking young woman. She had a bad dye job, too-dark makeup, and a nasty attitude. I'd ask her a question ('How long after a prescription is ready do you cancel if it it isn't picked up?') and she'd respond with rolled eyes and an unrelated question ('Did you wanna wait for it or nah?') She mumbled a lot, too: not just to herself but also while speaking to me. She was barely audible, except when I said: 'No, don't bother filling it, I'm not waiting,' and I turned to walk away. Then is when she SCREAMED: 'Well that was rude!!!' Oh, I was rude? For expecting to pick up my prescription that the app said was ready & waiting to be picked up? Alright, then. I filed a complaint about her on the Walgreens site. I moved my prescriptions elsewhere. This pharmacy is a joke. The app is annoying. You can either enable or disable notifications. If you don't enable notifications then you aren't notified when your prescriptions are ready. And a lot of times, you'll get a 'Your prescription is processing' notification, then a 'Your prescription is ready' notification immediately followed by a 'Your prescription is delayed' notification - and then no further notifications, so you have no idea whether your prescription is ready or or not unless you call the pharmacy. I've called the pharmacy - the typical wait time to speak to a live human (not even a pharmacist - just a cashier) is one hour. And If you do enable notifications then you will be notified when your prescriptions are ready BUT you'll also get notifications for when sunscreen is on sale, or what Memorial Day groceries deals are happening, and MORE notifications for every other item that is on sale.
