It's a clean store with lower than average pricing (including gas prices). The thing that really makes this place so special is their cashier, Natalie. She has been so incredible with customer service and it's become almost a personal relationship at this point. She's amazing at making conversation and making you feel like a valued customer with her genuine actions. Because of this, I would highly recommend this gas station compared to anywhere else in the area.

On 6/29/13 I went to the Citgo on the corner of routes 12 and 31 in Richmond IL and paid at the…read morepump using my card as a credit. The pump did not give me an option to run it as debit. I paid for exactly $10 worth of gas. Before leaving to go to a local festival later that day I called to get my card balance and there was only change left. I called cardmemeber services who told me I had a 100 dollar charge for gas at the Citgo. I said what? This can't be right! The transaction went through normally and the screen at the pump was cleared before I left, ready for the next user. I was informed that while some gas stations charge $1 deposit to see if the card payment goes through others charge much more. Cardmember services also advised it may take up to 3 days to release the money back to my account. Of course this was unacceptable so I asked if we could have a three way call with the gas station to see if we could expidite the release of my money. The woman who answered the phone at citgo insisted there was nothing to be done to release the money that it wasn't their fault. I informed her that the bank could confirm that indeed they had taken the excess funds. I also told the woman there is no sign at the pumps stating citgo may take excess funds for purchases at the pump. She gave me an attitude and told me I should have just come in to pay. She was unwilling to give me any contact information for her boss (the owner) who she claimed could resolve it Monday morning if I brought in a bank statement. I told her anything she wanted to know she could ask right now in the three way call as I don't get statements (card is through global card services). I told her this practice basically constitutes stealing and I wasn't afraid to get a lawyer involved if it wasn't resolved quickly. She then said she would contact the store owner and get back to me at her earliest convenience to which I replied this phone call isn't a convenience it's a priority. She called back ten minutes later and told me the store owner couldn't do anything soone rthan Monday and would call me to tell me the outcome. I most certainly didn't get a phone call from them but I did find out my $90 was recredited. DON'T ALLOW CITGO GAS STATIONS TO DO THIS TO YOUR MONEY AND GIVE YOU HASSLE ABOUT IT ALSO. GO TO ONE OF THEIR COMPETITORS INSTEAD!

The gas pump area is super clean and maintained well. Inside is orderly too. I needed to get gas and remembered they offer the famous HoHo cakes. So, after filling up, I ran inside to get the sweet treat for my sister. The Mama P's selection was plentiful but not very diverse. They were all chocolate based except for the animal cracker. It was so cute with pink cake and a pink animal cracker on top. I also chose the chocolate and peanut butter. I wish they had more non-chocolate options such as lemon etc. They were delicious just the same. Once you check in on Yelp, you receive an offer for a free bottle of water. The young girl at the desk was very confused and went to get another person for help. That girl looked at my phone and said, "we don't do that". When I said I think they do she agreed. It seemed like since she wasn't sure how to process the Yelp offer, she just wanted to refuse it. Then I realize it is Kenosha Restaurant Week. More confusion ensued on the price of my HoHo cakes, the only item they offered on Restaurant Week. I love that Lou Perrine's participated in Yelp and Restaurant Week. I stop by in the morning for coffee - they have it brewed fresh each morning with really great options- even my favorite iced coffee! They are great about getting new items in and keeping things up to date. You will always be welcomed by smiling faces and they are always willing to help if you can't find something. I see police officers here a lot (it's near the police station) and I always feel safe if I have to come by late at night. BONUS: they have KRINGLE! And the deliver groceries if you need it. AMAZING. (It looks like they have a low rating currently due to old reviews- with new management, everything has changed!)

In fact, this one had no line at all during our fill-up. It has 4 islands, with the 3 leftmost having 3 pumps (thus requiring parallel parking if the middle one is the only one open) while the far right only has 2. (22 nozzles in all). Price per gallon was $3.799 for 87, but 93 octane was $5.099 (a 33% markup)...super glad that our car was fine with 87. It's close enough to the Costco warehouse to notice how empty the parking lot felt on a Monday afternoon. This time, though, my wife didn't want to browse (probably because we would have to take it home by plane).

This car wash is by far one of the best around for an automatic car wash. All new cloth cleaning devices, under car wash, wheel cleaning, etc... The guys that work here are the greatest as well. Always a smile and top quality care! I've been going here for years now and will continue to as it's just that great.
