The gas was priced @ $284.9/gallon. FYI Shell Gas has always been my Number 1 preferred Option, but because of the huge price discrepancy I use Costco Gas. In this case it was 10 cents less then the Costco in Niles @ $294.9/gallon. Typically Costco runs 20-30 cents less then the other gas stations. The difference being one gas station is in CROOK County and the other is in Lake County. Anywho I gassed up my car at Shell in Lake County and saved a few bucks.

If you're coming from the east, sometimes you have to wait just to cross the traffic to get into the station. I like the place because the prices are among the lower ones around (but not the lowest) and it's super convenient for me. Nevermind that sometimes all of the pumps are filled and you have to wait to fill up! I don't really shop here for much, but I've found it's an adequate place for jerky when I get that craving, hot dogs, drinks, washer fluid and even okay prices on mulch. They sell lottery tickets, too. The Speedy Rewards card is a great way to earn points for all of your purchases there. I've been using my card and accumulated enough points to basically pay for any small sundry item I might occasionally pick up.

On this Speedway trip I was heading to the Milwaukee area to catch the Red Bull event. It's conveniently located off the highway. I think the hidden gem of this place is the gas pumps behind the building. I even tried out the new Laredo Tacos that are replacing most of the Speedy Cafe's. Their breakfast tacos aren't bad but the quality compares to hotel breakfast food. I will say the shelves are stocked. Staff is sub par, bathrooms are fair. Not the best location but it is convenient at least!

Moved to the area May of 2017. Was stopping a couple times per week. Terrible - employees in the DD area with some type of "chip on their shoulder/doing me a favor" snotty attitude. They are gone. Car wash is a joke. Rarely working properly, and when it's out (which is often) the employees run around like its the first time. Just give me my money back. No drama, no need to call the manager... The service Island is a complete disaster. The windshield cleaning tools are a mess. When there is any fluid is so full of dirt and bug guts that the bucket, squeegee and then your window, smell like sewage. It's an easy fix. Start and end shift with a full "pre-shift" walk and a mid-shift Check in. Fixed. (You're welcome) Also on the pumps, they are often not working. Credit card readers, not working, got to go inside. But then your dealing with those "Love their jobs" employees Do yourself and the BP org a favor. Go to a different BP. This one will be out of business soon or at least (fingers crossed) under a new franchiser
