The policy is the same nationwide. In fact, every other location I've been to said policy is for the store to even exchange for merch in store, OR online order the items at an even exchange price if they don't have them in store, with free shipping to your home. I told Anita all of this at least twice, but Anita refused to make an even exchange for my exact items in a smaller size, which she said she even had in stock. This is fraud, as in deliberately misrepresenting corporate store policy. Idk if this was discriminatory against me for some personal reason, or if management at this store lies to customers to get out of the five minutes it takes to help someone, or if Anita is ignorant of how to do her job and needs to be retrained? Any which way, this is a major FAIL for Old Navy. I explained repeatedly what corporate policy was but Anita refused to honor it, which was bizarre. She basically decided to treat me against store policy which is discrimination isn't it? Anyway, she was super unprofessional, and on top of that, when she finished my return (instead of exchange) her demeanor was frankly hostile, like she was pissed I didn't fall for her bullying me to try to make me pay full price on items she should have exchanged at an even exchange. Absolutely horrific experience. Anita, IME is terrible as a manager, and has zero customer service skills. I sent a complaint to ON customer service for my wasted time and aggravation. Located right by Walmart Supercenter…read more Goodwill on Dec 23 was understandably chaotic with shoppers, and things were a little disorganized by the evening when I was there. Staff had made a big effort to organize things but none of the customers were trying to keep it that way. It was an effort to look through a lot of half-functional stuff to find useful items, though they were departmented, which helps. I did not look long at any department other than bakeware but this was a medium-sized store with a decent volume of items. Visiting Jekyll, I was in need of extra baking dishes for Xmas dinner. Every year our rentals never have enough. I did find a glass bread baking dish, which wasn't exactly what I needed but close enough. Shelves looked sparse but it could've been the time of year. There were a lot of people there shopping. I had never been to a thrift store so close to Christmas so idk if it was for gifts or something like last-minute spare housewares like I needed? I do need to add that no one was available on the floor for assistance and employees were doubled up at registers just to talk to each other. I felt like I was interrupting the ladies to pay.

My daughter chose to celebrate her 13th birthday by paying $80 for a septum piercing at Island Republic in Bluffton, SC. During the appointment, she became uncomfortable with how the interaction was handled and decided she did not want to go through with the piercing. As a parent, I fully support her listening to her instincts in that situation. No service was ultimately performed. However, when she asked about a refund, she was told that none would be provided due to store policy. While I understand that businesses have policies in place, I believe there should be some consideration--especially when the client is a minor and the procedure was not completed. A store credit or the option to reschedule at a later time would have been a reasonable and customer-focused solution. Additionally, the response from the employee when my daughter expressed discomfort could have been handled with more professionalism and understanding. This experience left my daughter feeling upset on what should have been a special day.
