My only disappointment was during checkout. I spent about 30 minutes pulling threads and kitting a canvas I was excited to purchase, but when I got to the register, I was told it couldn't be sold because it was being held for a friend. It wasn't marked as sold or reserved, so it was frustrating after investing that time. The only option offered was to order another one and have it shipped. That said, the selection and pricing really are wonderful, and I would still consider returning. I just hope in the future that items on the floor are clearly marked if they aren't available, so customers don't spend time preparing something they can't purchase.

The JIAA hosts art festivals and other events throughout the year, in addition to offering classes in a variety of art mediums. They have a pottery guild on the basement level, a store on the first floor, and classes upstairs. JIAA's store offers art created by its members, and they completely empty and restock the gallery every few months. There are dozens of artists' work on display; paintings, sculpture, fiber arts, pottery, even origami. It is so inspiring to walk through and look at everything. Prices range from as little as $5 or $10 for a crafty item, all the way up to the thousands for large paintings. Most of the art pays homage to the Golden Isles region, which makes it a special place to find a one-of-a-kind souvenir. I bought pottery pieces at the JIAA spring festival 2023, and a painting in Jan 2024. I smile every time I see these pieces in my home. JIAA members run the store, and often there is a member at a demonstration table working on their art during store hours, which is a very cool touch. Many members are retirees who live on the island and bring artistic experiences from all over the world, so for an arts center, this place draws from a diverse pool of talent, and a caucus of expertise. In other words, this place is beautifully appointed and well run!

She answered me said that as long as is in a good packaging condition. But later, when I used at home and find out that the machine was broken already. So I went back and try to return it . They told me that there was a $25 restock fee, I was like well y'all didn't tell me at all. And when I was here earlier the employee told me I can do a return as long as is in a good condition, they didn't mention there was a restock fee for returning. And i looked it up that Micheals and Walmart doesn't have this policy at all. However, the machine itself is in a bad condition and i don't know why I have to pay a fee when I didn't even get to use it? Not recommended this store or other Joann and it was super died in there, clearly you can see why... I hope y'all have good businesses.

A great cultural addition to SSI, Glynn Visual Arts (GVA) fulfills multiple roles for the community…read moreand provides community for its artists and aspiring artists. They offer classes across a variety of visual art mediums throughout the year. They offer a children's summer camp as well. On site they have an artists' store filled with handmade original works. GVA also does outreach in the community, providing free art crafts for local kids. They host outdoor markets on SSI at certain times of the year. We visited the store at Christmas time and found very interesting, beautiful original art items. Prices were higher on average than the Jekyll Goodyear Artists' shop, and there wasn't as much in the store but otherwise similar to that local artists' shop and definitely worth a visit. Staff (or volunteers?) were very friendly and helpful. I'm happy to have finally visited and I'd like to check out their classes and summer camp when we visit for a longer stay.
