It is the place to go when you need some retail therapy. One end of the plaza is anchored by Fresco Y Mas supermarket and the other end by Marshall's. In between are several thrift stores and discount retailers selling marked down beauty supplies, clothing, and household goods at stores like Citi Trends and Family Dollar. When you get tired of shopping you can grab a bite to eat at an authentic Cuban restaurant. The center attracts over 35,000 people a week. For well over 50 years, Flamingo Plaza has been a mecca for those looking to save money.

Let me tell you a short story about what happened to me here. Two of the five blazers I took to the…read moreMiami Springs location to be cleaned and ironed were destroyed. It was burned with iron on one of the shoulders and neck (green blazer) and scratched on one of the sleeves (blue blazer). After calling the owner, Mr. Blademir Ordozez told me to leave them with him so he needed to check them out. He called me two days later and said that there was no mistake on their part, but that my clothes were old and overused. My response to the gentleman was that I had only worn those blazers once and that I would be able to provide him with receipts to verify their age. He attempted to justify his incompetence with another story to continue to justify his disasters. I donated the two damaged blazers to help his staff practice how to wash and iron blazers without damaging them. Hopefully, Mr. Bladimir will train his staff and change, calibrate, errors or improve his equipments so that he won't continue to damage other people's clothes. I also hope he manages to be professional and educated when speaking with clients. The best recommendation I can make is that he starts accepting his own mistakes and the errors of his staff. I have left him a donation of the two Express blazers, as well as the payment that you made him to wash and iron them, and I hope he enjoys them a lot. RUN FROM THAT PLACE. Dos de los cinco blazers que llevé a la localizacion de Miami Springs para lavarlos y plancharlos quedaron destruidos. Después de llamar al dueño, el Sr. Blademir Ordozez me dijo que se los dejara porque necesitaba revisarlos. Me llamó dos días después y me dijo que no había ningún error de su parte, pero que mi ropa estaba vieja y muy usada. Mi respuesta al caballero fue que solo había usado esos blazers una vez y que podría proporcionarle recibos de compras para que verificara cuando fueron compradas y asi me dijera si eran prensas viejas. Intentó justificar su incompetencia con otra historia cuando le dije que podia probarle cundo compre mis blazers. Le doné los dos blazers dañados para ayudar a su personal a practicar cómo lavarlos y plancharlos sin dañarlos Con suerte, el Sr. Bladimir capacitará a su personal y cambiará o mejorará sus equipos para no seguir dañando la ropa de otras personas. También espero que logre ser profesional y educado al hablar con los clientes. La mejor recomendación que puedo hacer es que empiece a aceptar sus propios errores y los errores de su personal y no trate de crear historias para justificar los mal hecho. Attentive and caring staff, beautiful BEAUTIFUL atmosphere and very nice dress selection. Accessories are lovely. Unlike a lot of other thrift stores, who operate in order to fund their charities, Thrift City is for profit. They still help the community by keeping items out of the landfill and offering lower priced alternatives. Expect to find a lot of toys for children, a few shelves of household goods, and a large selection of clothes arranged by color. You have to hand it to them, the clothes looked great. Someone has been watching the Home Edit. It's the show on Netflix that recommends you sort and hang your clothes according to the colors of the rainbow. They were having a colored tag, 50 percent off sale on the clothes. Although I didn't find anything it was still fun to poke around.
