Smack dab in the middle of small town America is one of the best fitness facilities I've been to in the country. A vast array of cardio equipment, free weights, and machines will keep your muscles guessing and allow you to mix up your routine. They offer a bunch of different classes which are complimentary with your membership. My one complaint would be to get some firmer foam rollers, but if this is my only strike on this place, you know it's darn near perfect. My favorite thing here is their healthy deli which features beyond reasonable pricing. I got a tasty large smoothie for less than $5 which would have cost me close to $10 at a professional smoothie shop. Literally this place has everything under the sun to help cater to one's healthy lifestyle. If I lived in Victoria, I'd make Citizens HealthPlex my home away from home. read more

Citizens Healthplex is hands down the best gym in this area. Yes, it is a gym as well as a physical therapy facility, but Yelp will not edit the business. My favorite rule of the gym is no one under 18 allowed. My second favorite rule is no nudity allowed in the hot tub and steam room. Let's face it, there are some people that we don't want to see naked. The fitness area is fully furnished with fitness equipment. The indoor pool and track are also a big draw. They offer a full array of fitness classes, including yoga and Cross Fit. The facility is immaculately clean. They offer massage therapy and also have a healthy deli downstairs. This is one of the better gyms I've been to. Tons of activities you can do here. The only thing they don't have is racket ball courts.

I had three major back surgeries, just before the third I ask my Dr. To order water therapy that perhaps I could start to build up some lose of mussel tone. There was no therapy ordered from my first back surgery that was on 1/23/12 I had a 360 degree L4-L5 fusion then on 4/30/14 I had L-2L-3 L3 L-4 Decompression surgery then on 11/18/15 I had surgery on L-2 L-3, L-3L-4,L-4L-5 Decompressions .I also had a double ignaianl hernia surgery on 7/27/12 then had to have the right side mesh removed along with the cutting of four nerves and exploratory surgery all on 1/29/15. My Surgeon ordered water therapy for Me. On 1/4/2016 I had an evaluation for water therapy Done at the Citizens Helth Plex Physical Theropy followed by four sessions of water therapy. The pain I was experiencing from the latest back surgery, got worse after the latest surgery. I felt that not just the water therapy made me hurt a bit more but almost everything I do from walking, bending to put on shoes, to helping my wife with light house hold chores. Sense the first back surgery I've had almost constant pain in my back and left leg worse than right leg. In saying all the above, I just want to be clear that Whom ever reads these reviews, That I believe that the Citizens Healthplex is a state of the art facility and all those whom I had contact with were very Proffesional, Courteous and worked with Me to not push Me behond the point of pain during my actual therapy. I would like to Give a Special Thanks to Dr, Travis Smith and Physical Therapist Patrisha, for their very Proffesional way of working with me during my treatment sessions. I did tell my Dr. That after the therapy my pain level was a bit worse, however as I stated earlier it's not so much the therapy itself but almost everything I do causes me pain. My only relief is the current pain meds and a heating pad that I'm on at least five hours out of a day. I'll be seeing the Surgeon that performed all three Spine surgeries, hopefully He will do an X Ray or MRI to see why I've been in more pain sense this past surgery, than before the surgery. But then again it's only been a little over two months post op. I will certainly be sure to tell all my friends that Citizens Healthplex is a great facility with very experienced,Professional and Courteous staff, that make You feel very comfortable from the very onset of your treatment.
