Great bike shop in the heart of miami, beautiful selection of bikes and accessories. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Arnaldo has helped me multiple times and I greatly appreciate his kindness and patients. City Bikes is the place to go!

I had been looking for a bike everywhere and while everyone was out of stock, I was able.to find this place. They had everything from every price range. I got a bike that really exceeded my expectations in both product and price. Saul and his team set me up.with everything I needee, even calibrated the bike for my height and weight. Two thumbs up for this boys. Don't go anywhere else, I already did!

I bought a bike for exercise since all the gyms closed due to COVID-19. I brought it here to make sure everything was put together well. It took about 4 days because apparently everyone is riding their bikes now.. BUT, they did an exceptional job and I was surprised at the low price they charged me. They also sell accessories that are just as affordable as you would find on Amazon. Also, they are doing a great job at following COVID precautions. Will continue to bring my bike here in the future.

    My demo bike....badass!

I ended up at this shop due to a social media posting of a bike demo / ride being offered. Im in the market for a road/tri bike so I was attracted to the advertisement and send an email to register to participate. They have a sister store in Aventura which I have been to, so Im somewhat familiar with the brands they carry and the top quality bikes they have. Im a noob in the road bike / cycling scene, even though I have been training and riding my MTB on the road. I have seen packs of cyclists riding in the street and always wanted to try it, so again I felt this would be a good opportunity to test drive a bike and compare my experiences to a real road bike. Driving down at 6:30, with my crappy pedals, non-worthy clothes, no helmet, sneakers, I was a little concerned to say the least, with my lack of proper equipment. We caught some traffic but made it on time. I went in and introduced myself and was quickly setup on quite the impressive bicycle. They measured me, adjusted the bike, installed my pedals, ensured there was proper tire pressure and even leant me a helmet. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. They really took care of me, a relative nobody to them, demo'ing what I found out was a $15k beautiful beast of a bike and really made me feel welcomed. The ~30 mile ride from Brickell to Key Biscayne (and back) was awesome. It was slighly drizzling when we left and again once we hit Brickell on the way back, but everywhere in between was perfect. I did get to feel what it was like to ride in a pack for a while and also by myself, the best of both worlds. Once we returned to the shop, there was a full spread of breakfast, which was really awesome of them to provide. They really made what started out as a rainy day a perfect day. To the staff at City Bikes, both Midtown and Aventura, thanks for helping me get registered to this event and for your gracious hospitality. All the recommendations for a new bike and assitance on the ride really was appreciated. Truly a world class shop. The best bikes in the industry. Awesome staff that is very knowledgeable about the products and can make great recommendations to fit your personal needs. If you are looking for a bike, need service, parts, gear, supplements or advice, this is the place to go!

So I go into City Bikes. It's clean, the people are friendly, the prices a little higher than I imagined. I told a worker that I needed an inter-tube. He took my wheel that I brought to make sure I buy the right size. (I had already bought a tube and the guy at another bike store gave me the wrong one.) So the worker grabs a new tube and immediately takes out the other one. I didn't think anything of it. It looked like he was going to replace it free of charge, so I gave him a hefty tip for such good service. Then when I went to the counter to pay I saw that I was charged 20 dollars for the maintenance fee, which the mechanic never mentioned. So just watch out for that, fellow consumer. Also, the cashier just said,"Oh they don't usually charged that much for that." And he took off 10 dollars. I felt like I was properly attended to. But later I felt like they just grifted me 10 dollars. So, just watch them, otherwise it's a great bike shop.

I went in to try and exchange a $30 bike lock that I never used. I brought the receipt expecting a simple exchange and instead was met with a young man with an Afro and a middle aged woman with black hair that told me they couldn't help because it did not have the cardboard backing with the barcode on it. They refused, saying no one would buy it and it was their management that told them this rule and refused to help. I could have gone to any big box store and would have received better service and care. Unfortunately, I will never come back here again even though I was looking to get a bike fitting and considering their services even though it's $250. I'm looking somewhere else!

Hate to write this review but I had the worst experience at this bike shop. Which absolutely sucks…read morebecause I have been to their other location in doral, multiple times, where the customer service is great, everyone's friendly but at this gables location? They all, including the bike mechanic, need some training. I brought my bike in last week because it had a flat. First they said the service for both wheels & 2 tubes wouldn't be more than $120 - the service ended up being $200. The price is fine but why say $120 and then charge $200? I haven't had my bike for more than 2 years, I've never fallen on my bike, I take care of it like it's my child & on top of that, I barely ride it - when I picked up my bike the mechanic said "did you ever notice this dent on the rim?" No, I never noticed it because it wasn't there. THEY dented my rim - probably in the process of removing my tire. Now that's something else I need to fix. 2 days after picking up my bike - it's flat again (didn't even ride it btw). These people didn't properly put the tube. I called them to let them know that I'll be passing by so they can fix it - whoever answered the phone was extremely rude with an attitude. I ended up going to the doral location and it was fixed within 5 mins. But because of the horrible customer service from their gables location, I'll just be taking my bike elsewhere. Too many bike shops in Miami to be dealing with an incompetent one.

I have to hold back my tears of joy here…read more Bad news first outside of Mack's....over the past month I was screwed 2x by 1) a local shop in Tampa FL (UBC) and then by Erik's bike online. (received charge backs from both from my Bank). Both UBC and Erick's took my $600 deposit (UBC) and 3K+ (Erik's).... yet neither merchant had the Specialized Roubaix SL8 I ordered and paid for in their inventory. After calls and calls to follow up on the status, both UBC and Erik's dodged/deflected/gaslit me. Why? I have inroads with the FTC. My theory is that both Erik's and UBC potentially used my payment (amongst other consumers) as interest free loans to boost/float their short-term capital/liquidity to pay off their creditors b/c of their razor thin margins. This is illegal per FTC's rules and regs. This made me sick to my stomach. Good news: Hit the batch - secured my Roubaix, it's now in my hands. THANK YOU MACK. Honesty and integrity - highly recommend. Hell of a bike can't wait to uplevel from my hybrid (14 mph on 20 mi ride to 16 mph) LFG!

I was able to secure the new teamdream and cannondale caad14 in a size 56 from Mack's cycle shop in Miami. Darien was a super sweetheart on the phone so no love lost there, so I put down my deposit and was called this morning to let me know the bike is no longer going to be sold, but rather it's going to be used as part of a fundraiser for "Best Buddies." Additionally, it's now listed as DOUBLE the price on their website. So it's really nuts to think that anyone in their good mind would pay $5k for an aluminum frameset. I think donating the proceeds is all good and well, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth to work with an authorized dealer who sold me a VERY limited product, only to take it back the next day. I've called all the shops listed for this bike around the country after that and they are sold out. I'm truly stunned by this behavior and I hope that whatever good intention y'all had is met with karma on your end.
