I love this store. I was on the hunt for Birkenstock's and the Shoe Gallery was the only store in Miami that had the most recent style. Once there I was also able to buy a pair of On Cloud sneakers in the color I have been searching for. The service was great. As a newly sneaker enthusias, I have visited the infamous shoe gallery several times after my first visit. I am officially a fan. I last visited the store last week on a Monday and was very impress with the customer service. I love the variety of sneakers and shirts that you don't find at your typical mall and at every price range. This is my absolute #1 spot when I hear that a limited shoe is coming out. Shoe Gallery has been in Miami for longer than I can remember, and is truly one of the few places that coincide with Miami. If you're into fashion or streetwear in even the slightest way, then you're familiar with the Downtown corner store. The best part about SG has to be the staff. From Danny to everyone else working the store, they go out of their way to be as helpful and as courteous as possible. I've actually been taken back sometimes by how nice everyone is over there. As far as the product, if you need the newest sneaker release I can guarantee that SG will be getting pairs. And they make sure to keep everyone informed by being crazy active on Instagram. There are pictures of all celebrities that visit and there is grafitti along the floors representing those who have been through there. People LOVE to leave their mark... We made it threw the rain, most of the days .... and the last day the owner of the store bought us food. Also When the day came for release for these shoes Multiple People try to skip everyone that camped out, but the Owner Stepped in and made sure no one else but the people that camped out got shoes first. Why such a big Deal on these shoes, only 529 Were released in The U.S. and Only 23 Stores got them. Yes! and this was one of the stores, The 23 stores that got them only received 23 shoes. You need to subtract the shoes for their employees and for their V.I.P. Clients Leaving this Store only with 13-15 Left To sell. So thats why The skipping and the Camping out for a week was a BIG deal! Overall this store might be a bit pricey but, thats the cost to get Good limited footwear so i'm not complaining. I stopped into this store because I had heard so much hype about it and had to check it out. It's like no other store in Miami, the vibe is very L.A. since Miami is not that connected to any hip hop roots. A lot of celebrities come to this store when they visit Miami to get the latest Nike's and new denim styles. There are a bunch of shoes and apparel all over the store that you won't find anywhere else. The price range for their inventory goes from Macy*s bargain bin to Saks' new looks. The owner, Danny, knows everything there is to know and if you get the chance, strike up a conversation. He's extremely knowledgeable, passionate - just a real cool cat. The shop is located in Downtown Miami - off the beaten path. But, any cab driver worth his tip can find it, easily. Once you're there, you're in store for a truly unique experience. The music alone is worth the trip. Hip hop thumps and adds to the energetic vibe. The day I visited, Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade were searching the same T-shirt rack as me. (Haslem beat me to a shirt I wanted - the benefit of being 6' 8" I guess.) They've got a really fun, original selection of sneakers and clothing. Stuff I didn't even know existed. Black and white leather wing tip Vans! Are you kidding me???!! I scooped them up along with a pair of dunks and five T-shirts that are still getting compliments. I expected it to be pricey, like other original shoe stores. But I made out like a bandit. I've been to spots in NY, California, Philly, London. And, I'd put this place up against anything, anywhere. So, if you want to rock the same old kicks and threads, stay on South Beach, Lincoln Rd. or any mall. This business reminds me of establishments in NY whereas they sell unique clothing that aren't the typical tees etc. However, I did experience profiling in this store today and will never return. It is sickening that the associates have no common courtesy, e.g., never saying hello when I walked in or when I approached the counter to purchase my item. On the other hand, a guy working spoke to a Caucasian gentlemen that walked in. It just seems like employees here have become complacent and don't value ALL customers. Last Tuesday I purchased a pair of hip lunar shox which were on clearance for 60.00. Ive got nothin but mad compliments on these kicks! Not only are they fly, but comfy as hell.
