This church is an absolutely stunning work of architecture! I don't believe I've ever seen one like…read morethis. I was able to see so much of it due to the Queen's City Ultimate UnderGround Tour, and was thrilled when I learned about the crypt beneath the floor. LORDY this place is completely beyond amazing. The stained glass, The parquet inlaid floor in the pulpit behind/beneath the double sided crucifix, which itself is a rarity. This truly is a place you HAVE to see when visiting Cinci.

Along with our tour guide, he gave us some great information on the history of the church. Once inside, we visited a tomb under the altar. I was a little uncomfortable with people taking pictures of the headstones but it was very interesting. When the church was built they had to move some remains that were in the cemetary so the vault served that purpose as the final resting place for several people. The interior of the church is really lovely. There are pictures of it from the past and it was previously much more ornate. Still beautiful but I prefer the interior as it is now. The skylights, stained glass and organ are of particular interest.

They provide shelter, food and personal items for people in need on a daily basis. Last Christmas when my family wanted to help out with gifts for someone less fortunate, I contacted this agency and was given a list of a family's requests, which I then shopped for and delivered to Welcome House. Sometimes when I pass by this agency it seems there is often a line out front of individuals waiting for it to open. That makes me think they're doing good things to help out the less fortunate.

I was lucky enough to know about the Washing Well already, so I hauled my clothes across town to check it out. I was definitely pleased with my experience. In addition to being newer and cleaner than the laundromats from my college days, the prices are also very reasonable. I do appreciate that they always have an attendant on duty to help, since I couldn't figure out the machines on my own at first. The space is a little small, but the days I went were pretty warm so I hung out in the outdoor garden area while my laundry finished up. Overall, I would totally go back if I were in need of a laundromat again!

Parking can be found both on street and in their lot. They are in the area of Newport where you can't park on the second Tuesday of the month or something, so check your calendar and plan accordingly.
