The City of Sacramento's Capitol Garage is my most frequented and regular parking garage when I'm…read moredowntown for an event or meeting, if I am not opting for street parking (or can't find any). It's often closed to public parking due to special events, but it's really conveniently located in the middle of downtown since it's at the corner of 10th and L St, directly across the north side of the entrance of the Capitol bldg. It's a decently maintained parking structure although it's seen better days. There's been more littering and general griminess it seems, but it's still pretty good generally. The first 2 floors are usually filled up by the time I am there looking for a spot, but there are generally lots of spots open starting on 3rd floor, and the elevators work well and it's not too bad to walk down the stairs. However, the stairs are metal and they can feel kind of wobbly at times. The latest news is that the City of Sacramento has raised prices to address a $66 million budget deficit, so they've raised half-hour rates to $2 (up from $1.50) and increased penalties for lost tickets to $30-$37. All in all, a convenient location and decently well-kept parking garage.

This is a go-to parking garage when in the area. Do not park here. They have a QR code for park mobile which I used on 4/25 to pay for parking. Only…read moreto walk back to my vehicle prior with 30 mins left of parking to be ticketed for non payment. The ticket is $65. I called the number provided on the ticket but it only allows customers to leave a voice message and does not allow you to speak with an agent on the phone. Definitely feels like a ticketing scam to me because every car in the lot at that time had a ticket on their window. Why would park mobile be an option if it's not being checked for payment?

I parked in a lot downtown Sacramento, I went to pay at the machine, and it required a parking…read morespace number. There is NO NUMBER in the handicap spot- I took a picture of the machine as I was trying to find a way to pay. I looked around from my parking spot and saw no other options. I called the next day after receiving a ticket to share my pictures of the parking space, the machine I was trying to pay at and offered to pay the $6 rate that was posted immediately. They claim I should have walked the parking lot and figured out the space number. I reminded them I was in a handicap space for a reason and walking the parking lot was not realistic. They then tried to state they just repaved the lot and hadn't gotten to adding the space number. I have the photos of the decrepit lot not ever repaved. They then tried to claim people just think they dont have to pay because it was a handicap space- not the case, I know when to pay and when it's free AND I was trying to pay!!!! I initially spoke to Devon @ Priority Parking and provided him pictures and my offer to pay the rate- he was rude and condescending and would not accept.
