Stopped by last minute to get a pedicure. Although the place was full, they got me right in and did a good job at my pedicure. The big toe had a streak where the lady had missed putting an even coat of nail polish but she fixed it right up when I pointed it out. Very friendly. Very quick. $25 for a spa pedicure. I usually pay $30 somewhere else. The chair is a different story though. The massage back part of it has seen better days and the little side table was broken, but that was ok because I didn't have a purse or anything to set on it. I originally asked for a different set which was $50 but I wanted a cheaper version so we settled on $35 not only did they overcharged me last second but the lady who did my nails nicked me 5 times and one of my nails would not stop bleeding. No apology no nothing. I do not recommend this place first time going and was very disappointed. I use to come here a few times and they did pretty good but i because of this I will NEVER COME BACK. My nails were wayyyy overpriced it was suppose to be $90 but they charged us $150 like wtf. I really like my nails but! Very over priced. I usually pay $15 for full set polished acrylic nails and $20 for color powder acrylic. This place charged me double for my daughter and I. Absolutely HORRIBLE shellac with painted French tips!!!! The absolute WORST just like every other nail salon down here! Came to get my PERFECT set filled and not only did she BURN my finger with the file but her lines and nails are uneven and lumpy in spots!! I am SO EMBARRASSED and to top it all off?? She messed up my eyebrows and left patches of hair on my upper lip!!! NEVER EVER EVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!!!!!!! Conveniently located across the mall in Harlingen, this nail salon offers decent service at decent prices. I was able to experience their pedicure and waxing services. The only bad thing I can say about the waxing is that the room was a little ghetto and somehow they got wax in my hair- hair on my head that is - which was not fun. Got a deluxe Pedi, no leg or foot rub. She put some oil on my legs and wrapped them in a wet towel. That was it. She didn't do a very good job on my mani either. No lotion after or an arm rub. She didn't even use a file to file my toes or nails. I go to get a mani and pedi to relax and to spoil myself, there was nothing relaxing about this. The person I had wouldn't be quiet. I have enough problems of my own, I don't need to hear about yours. Good thing the massage on the chair worked, this was the only massage I got. Won't go back. read more

Don't waste your money or time going to city nails. Terrible job, you can still see my old nail polish. $30 down the drain. They have a sign no refunds. In the middle of manicure I was asked to pay. She probably realized the shitty job she was doing and decided she should get paid first. Another customer walked out the same time I did and they did a crappy job on her nails also. I took my sister and I was so disappointed that I did. I ask for deluxe pedicure. They rushed through pedi, no massage, just wrapped towels with a little bit of oil. The lady that was doing her nails started arguing with one of the other workers in there language. It was awkward and she kept getting up it took her 2 hours to get a simple job done. She charged her $55.00. Total rip off. Don't waste your money or your time going there. read more

This place hasn't been updated in like over 13 years maybe longer but besides that uncalm feeling I had a great experience with Brenda. She did my nails and pedicure. Worst service I have ever received!!! DO NOT GO HERE! The staff was rude. I had eyes rolled at me and attitude when I asked for upgrades. The man who did my nails was super rough and did NOT look at all happy to be working. My issue is, if you do not want to work or treat people with respect don't go to work! Stay home. My usual place was closed so went to City Nails. The place is filthy, everywhere you look dirt, dust, hair, and looks like no one ever cleans! Nail person was rough with my nails, and not very friendly. Agree with Layla P's review. The waxing room looks awful, very run down and looks like they threw it together as cheaply as they could, and room looks old, and I could tell they never change it. seriously the worst nail salon in Harlingen, TX. was the only place open on Memorial Day, horrible service I waited 10 minutes before anyone asked me what I was waiting for. my daughter got a Mani done as soon as we got home the polish came right off with the clear coat she could just pull it off. my nails were horribly painted and the owner charges for every single thing and doesn't even tell you what she is charging you for. Bad service all around will never step foot there again! Also, Owner has a no refund sign up, so she will charge you before your nails are done so that you don't get your money back! read more
