In this case it's the Town Hall building for the once tiny town of Prosper. Not long ago this was literally a tiny north Texas Town,exactly like the 1000s dotting the flat prairie of this part of the state. As development moves north at an ever more rapid pace,these tiny communities are being transformed overnight. It is critical with this type growth that responsible citizens are in from the start with rock solid civic planning. Once the infrastructure is planned and built out,it's impossible to retreat and redo. Setting the foundation for what's to come is a make it or break it proposition. On this day,I had taken my High School Junior Grandson to breakfast. Afterward I proposed we get on the Dallas north toll road and see where it ends. It still ends in roughly Prosper where staging is taking place to begin the extension even further north. Unprecedented growth continues to take place. I turned up towards the little town and as we passed the Town Hall building,I proposed we go in and take a look. Little did my grandson know that I'd disguised a civics lesson for him in the form of a city government visit. Ha,he thought he was missing school! Happy Birthday! As we entered the building I was truly amazed at the quality of construction. Well planned and thought out with top quality materials from floor to ceiling. Display cases reviews the history of small town Prosper in a museum quality way. We were greeted by a lovely representative of the city that was very helpful in our understanding of the area. If you're out and about seeing what's happening in our ever changing world,I highly recommend you stop in and appreciate this lovely structure and budding city government.

Rules and associated costs in getting approvals for the simplest maintenance or improvement of your property have continually escalated over our 10 years of residence, to the point where the city doesn't bother to even publish the complete current process for the approvals. They just delay and deny like an insurance company until your resources are exhausted. I would strongly advise against moving your home or business to this cesspit of political power mongering.

I asked about cleaning up and they said some one was in the way. 30 min later no one had shown up. This place reminds me of One flew over the Cuckoo nest movie.. everyone sitting in a wheel chair doing nothing. I left in tears. I wouldn't put my worst enemy there. Unless you want them to die. They've…read moremanaged to keep a small town feeling despite the closeness to all the bigger cities surrounding the town and I love that. Friendly people that waives as you drive by (as if you are one of their neighbor), cute beautiful little - and BIG - houses, a few shops, restaurants and of course, the local donut place. If I was in the marked for a weekend house, this would definitely be on my top 5 places of where to buy one. :-)

MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit card transactions will be charged a 2% convenience fee." As we move to a "cashless" society, Frisco is moving back to 1979. Next, they will be accepting Dinners Club or Carte Blanche cards. This does not make sense.

I tried to set up e payments through my bank and found out that the city of Frisco does not have the arrangement. (If you use a credit card and pay online via their website, of course you will be charged a convenience fee.) So, even in this paperless, high-tech driven world, the fabulous city of Frisco needs its resident to write a check, fight the traffic amongst idiot drivers along Eldorado and Main, and walk up to their counter or send the check in via snail mail every month. Free curbside parking & it's minimal. May be confusing on how to enter into the building as I initially thought I made it to the police station after following my GPS. This new building is nice. We were greeted upon entering and helped. I know you may think all town…read morehall look the same nope!!! The decor inside and out is a lol breathtaking. It's well lit and with a lot of natural light and open space. It's neatly organized and well noted with descriptions of what your looking for.. there is spacious parking outside. The bathroom was clean, nice, roomy and not cramped lol. They are social distancing and everyone entering is required to wear a mask. They have hand sanitizer available if needed. The lines are moving steadily for the early voting. We've been here since 8:15 am so it's not bad. They have plenty of helpful volunteers and workers to help with whatever question or concerns you may have.
