The County Clerks office for getting a new Passport or a renewal is in the New Courthouse Building on the 2nd floor in Ste.203. The new courthouse is to the left of the old County courthouse and not near as tall. Try to leave as much metal as you can at home as you do have to go through a metal detector on entering. After that you can go up the stairs to your left or to your right are the elevators. Everything went pretty quick and the clerks were very helpful. If you're getting your passport renewed be sure and take your old one with you so they can get your passport number off of your old one.

This center has plenty of rooms/spaces for rent for different events. You can also vote here. But what I love is the variety of free daily activities that provide for people of all abilities. It's a great place for leisure and recreation and you get to meet others in the community. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially with the setups. There's also a walking trail outside and plenty of parking. They also have a resource wall full of information like events and assistance.

To be honest, I haven't had much of a need to visit the Kingwood Community Center. That being said,…read moreit is a gorgeous facility. It seems like they are always holding some sort of event for the community - mainly for seniors. My recent experience here was to early vote in the 2020 Presidential election. The line was all the way out the door and down the sidewalk and across the parking lot as this was the first day of early voting. Parking was a bit tough to find and so I parked in the adjacent Metro Park and Ride lot. The inside of the building was immaculate. I could tell that the staff there takes great pride in keeping it clean and tidy. I was pleased with my experience at this community center and can't wait for all of the various programs to come back so that I may partake in them. Covid has really put a damper on things this year. Kudos to the individuals involved with the Kingwood Community Center and keep up the great work!

This is a historic building. Dating back in the 1900's... I'm too lazy to read the history board on…read morethe front. I was here for Polynesian Dance venue. The building was very well-maintained. There aren't a lot of parking spaces in the attached lot. I parked across street in the police department lot. The building is surrounded by a manicured yard. On the side of building, it has a Pelican Path. Just say it's a happy place to pose with people height cement statues. It opens from sunrise to sunset. This made a perfect place for a cultural venue for the summertime. Let the breeze of Clear Lake flown to my face. That experience is never felt in Houston. My only pet peeve is lack of bathrooms. If you really really have to go, Citgo on the other side of 2nd Street should be sufficient.
