Extremely disappointed with their service! We initially called them in to fix one of the locks in our office. Just as the locksmith arrived, one of the people in our office was able to fix the lock. We had them take a look at it anyway, since they had already come to our office. We ended up getting one key copied from them and no other services. We were surprised when they handed us an invoice of $98 for a "trip fee"! They did not inform us beforehand or state on their website that they charge a $98 trip fee. We ended up talking to Mike who was quite rude to us on the phone. He tried to rush the phone conversation and even threatened to charge us for "waiting time" if we did not pay him immediately. We were finally able to negotiate the fee down to $65, which was still steep considering the fact that we only received one copy of a key. We are disappointed with the customer service that we received from them, and will not be doing business with them in the future. read more

I called Mike from City One Locksmith on Thurs afternoon to get a quote for adding a new door self locking door handle & to adjust a misaligned lock on the same door. He had me send some photos & promptly emailed me a quote. He showed up for the next day (wasn't an emergency) appt time early, (called ahead), wore a mask, was very friendly, got the job done fast good work & honored his quoted price. Called around 10am to have a change of lock in our office and they arrived by 12:30pm. He explained that there was no need to change the locks when we can use do a re-keying which was WAY cheaper. The process was done within 30 minutes and it included 1 key but he gave us 2 extra keys for FREE... I needed a key done for my car, and the man that answered the phone was really warm and welcoming. He gave me my quote, and called me back to tell me that my wait time would be about 2 1/2 hours. Seeing as how I was in an unfamiliar area, IU had no choice but to wait. Time passed, and my driver never showed up. I called the man that helped me initially, but with no response. The driver called me shortly thereafter, only to tell me that he would not be able to make it. I reiterated that I was told someone would be able to make it out to me at a certain time, but he said tomorrow would work best. I wouldn't mind rescheduling, but the issue is that the matter was urgent. Instead of using my time wisely to call other locksmiths, I sat around reassured and wasted precious time. Mike came out to open my commercial building and I was impressed at how fast he did it because the door lock was tampered! He told me he could fix the door lock, but I told him we were getting the lock replaced with a better one. I showed it to him, and he installed it at no extra charge ( this alone saved me $$$, the hardware company wanted a few 100 and commercial locks are very tricky).
