Super amazing evening picnicking up at the park! Food trucks, people watching, great music= perfect free night. Jazz starts at 6 and even through it is crowded, it doesn't feel that way as you can hear the music pretty far away! Highly recommend this treat. Thank you Denver!

What an exciting way to spend an evening! Live jazz, chill crowd, food service trucks, in an outdoor amphitheater facing the water proved a perfect way to start the week off on a Sunday night. There's one more upcoming show on August 8th.

The best Sunday event! We are here every week and never disappointed! If you haven't come out- get on it!!

Bring a date, your lover, wanna-be lover, friends, and/or family to City Park Jazz every Sunday at City Park in Denver from usually June through August. Not only is this a great date idea because it is FREE, but because that means you can spend more money on buying picnic food... Like grilled smoked salmon or brie and bread with strawberries. Bring your picnic and your blanket, and plop a squat on the lawn and enjoy the free jazz and people watching. If you are too lazy to pack your own picnic you can buy one at the park and look just as cool. Party-goers beware, this is not a high-energy head banging experience... This is a community event with yes weirdos (like me) and the Jones', so set no expectations other than enjoying a smooth Sunday night of Jazz in Denver's huge city park. Strategy: Parking can get hard-to-find, so if you can, carpool, take the bus or for front row parking, ride your bike. * Star one is for being FREE... I dig it ** Jazz it up star two is for awesome bands that make me wanna wiggle my tushi *** Smoochie smooch star three is for making an event that help people on first dates get impressed, and then wanna kiss their date... maybe more points if there is more ;) **** Nice to meet you star four is for bringing the community together ***** Our final star is for keeping up a 125 year old tradition... Go mining town go!

City Park Jazz is a summer must do. It is a blast to be outdoors, hear great music and it has great people watching.

A special night out with incredible live jazz…read more I've lived in Colorado for 4 years and can't believe it took me this long to experience Nocturne. I went on a Friday night with my mom I'd just gotten my hair done and wanted to do something fun, a little fancy, and different from the usual dinner spot. It absolutely delivered. First: parking in RiNo is rough. Plan ahead. My reservation was at 8:30 PM and I arrived almost 45 minutes early just looping the area. Eventually found street parking but give yourself time so you're not stressed walking in. The exterior is beautiful mural artwork, elegant entrance, very polished. Once inside, you're greeted, there's coat check and the entire space feels intimate and elevated without being stuffy. It's romantic but not pretentious. I'd go here for a date, a birthday, or just to treat someone special. We did the three-course prix fixe experience (around $150 per person, 25% gratuity included -- that's required for reservations). It felt worth it for the full experience. Food highlights: * I tried the steak tartare for the first time. raw beef and egg, served in a crispy potato nest. Very outside my comfort zone, but beautifully presented and well executed. * My mom had the grilled octopus and loved it. * For entrées, I ordered the Branzino (10/10) and she had the duck she raved about it. * The risotto was slightly underdone but not enough to ruin the dish. * Dessert was a passionfruit tarte. very tart and tangy (true to its name!). * For my birthday, they surprised us with a vanilla dessert that was honestly incredible. Also worth mentioning: their non-alcoholic options are phenomenal. I had the "Kitten Heels" mocktail (10/10), and their non-alcoholic rosé genuinely tasted like the real thing. As someone who appreciates thoughtful zero-proof options, this stood out. The live music was the star of the night. The performers were incredibly talented! the vocals, the breath control, the instrumentation! it felt immersive. The only thing I'll say is the crowd was a little low-energy. My mom and I were the only ones really moving in our seats, tapping along, enjoying it visibly. I wanted more people to feel it! Overall, this is a beautiful spot for live jazz, elevated dining, and a romantic or celebratory night out. If you love cultural, artsy experiences and live music, this is absolutely worth it. I'll definitely be back.

Date night done right -- if you know where to look…read more Dazzle has been on my radar for a while, and finally going with my husband for a show did not disappoint. Tucked inside the Denver Performing Arts Complex at 1080 14th Street, the space has a jazzy, intimate feel that somehow still delivers impressive surround sound for live music. For a room that seats around 140, the acoustics are genuinely good -- the kind that make you lean in and actually listen. The performance itself was well DAZZLING, FANTASTIC, MEMORABLE, POWERUL, and the layout of the space contributes to that. Dazzle is a serious listening room, and they ask that you keep conversation minimal during the music -- which I appreciated. It sets a tone. This isn't background noise; it's the main event. A note on the food and drink: there's a two-item minimum per person, which I understand and respect. Tickets support the artists; the minimum supports the venue. That said, we ordered the charcuterie board and I'll be honest -- for what was on the board, the price felt a little steep. Wouldn't order it again. What did win me over, unexpectedly, was the hot tea selection. I don't drink much, and having a beautiful, thoughtfully curated tea menu was a small but memorable touch. I'm already thinking about what I'll try at our next show. Dazzle is a great pick for date nights, jazz lovers, or anyone who wants a real night out in Denver -- not just dinner and a movie. With 60 to 70 shows a month across jazz, blues, R&B, and more , there's always a reason to go back.

Brunch is BACK at Dazzle and our family could not be happier…read more There's just something magical about building your own huevos rancheros while sipping a bottomless Aperol Spritz. The cheesy grits? Comfort food perfection. Waffles made to order? Yes, please. It's the kind of menu that makes everyone at the table feel like they won brunch. And then... the music. Alex Trujillo's Bossa Duo set the vibe just right -- smooth, breezy, sophisticated without being stuffy. It felt like we'd stumbled into a little pocket of Rio in Denver. Super chill, easy conversation, toe-tapping in your seat energy. Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming...the kind where you never have to flag anyone down but also don't feel rushed. If you're looking for a brunch that feels elevated but still relaxed (and delicious across the board), Dazzle absolutely delivers. We'll be back!
