Today was such a magical day at the park. I'll admit, I'm here pretty often but today's perfect weather created an extra special atmosphere. From the tulip blooms, to the art market and the random Kawaii trinket swap, the people were out and they were connecting and they were happy. It's exactly what a park should feel like, a shared space where everyone can enjoy the outdoors. I love City Park!

What a chill and better way to start off 2026 than to take a stroll down New Orleans' famous City Park! Since the weather was really nice today, my mom and I decided to walk around the park. City Park is filled with so much spacious nature, multiple walkways, and overall provides a breath of fresh air for you to relieve stress. We basically walked around for almost 3 hours and have yet to explore all of the park! A great park to explore if you're ever in the NOLA area or if you want a peaceful walk.

Highly recommend you add this park to your itinerary if you're visiting New Orleans. There's a ton of things to do! Check the website for more details. It's bigger than Central Park in NYC and there's everything from swan boats and surrey rentals to a mini golf course, sculpture garden, museum of art, and a botanical garden. I hear the birdwatching here is pretty great too. We went to the sculpture garden and botanical garden and it was 100% worth the trip. Bonus: you can walk to Clesi's afterwards to enjoy some crawfish!

Stopped by here on a beautiful Friday afternoon. My friend suggested we park near Storyland and it ended up having lots of space available and was just a short walk to the Cafe du Monde outpost here which ended up being the perfect spot for an afternoon pick me up. The trees here are absolutely gorgeous. There's lots of space to walk and plenty of places to sit and talk, too. It's a nice spot that's a bit off the beaten path in NOLA if you're looking for something a little less city and a little more country.

City Park is absolutely magical! It's one of those places that makes you forget you're in the middle of a city. The greenery, the huge oak trees, the quiet lakes -- everything feels peaceful and beautiful. We walked around for hours and didn't want to leave. There's so much to do: stunning sculpture gardens, bridges for cute photos, museums, little trails, and gorgeous views in every corner. It's clean, relaxing, and feels like the heart of New Orleans in the most natural way. Whether you want a calm morning walk, pretty pictures, or just a break from the busy streets -- City Park is a must. Totally worth the visit!

This place is huge. We came for a stroll around the sculpture garden as it was free. Grabbed a bite at Cade Du Monde too. The park seemed really family and pet friendly. Next time I plan on renting a bike or canoe to mosey around a little more. It's well shaded it most areas if you're trying to beat the heat.

City Park is so beautiful! We came across it trying to find a suitable area to charge one of our cars (2 EV stations located in two different locations within the park). While we waited, we decided to take a walk around and explore! There is so much offered within the park grounds for the community to enjoy, such as the children's museum, the outdoor gym circuit, places to rent a boat or buggy to ride within the park, and little gardens within the park that feature various themes of art sculptures & green spaces created within.

A really beautiful place. Trees and various vegetation is abundant. Old and new building alike. Cafe Du Monde is on site at the south end, this is near a lot of activity such as kids playgrounds, pavilions hosting weddings and parties, and other types of events. We walked the south end and there were at least 6 or 7 weddings and 2 or 3 parties going on. A lot of photographers taking pics of the couples and party goers. The many water streams and ponds on site as well as the massive trees covered in the moss makes it so pretty. Pictures do not capture the depth of beauty that the eyes get to see. There is a putt putt at the south end, website states it's $12 per adult. Going north it gets a little more less well kept, sans the golf course at the north end. There is an equestrian "farm", per the sign, at the extreme north end. This is a great park.

City park in the Oaks; still Christmas season flow. Beautiful light show and tranquility.

What. A. PARK. It's huge. Massive. We only did the south side to see the incredible historic oak grove. And WOW, was that worth the visit. I took a ton of pictures, but so does everyone else, sooooo... I only posted 3 and go check out other pictures and THEN go see these incredible, massive oaks in person!!

Love City Park and all that it offers. I spend a lot of time here alone or with others. I rest, meditate, exercise, and have fun with family and friends here. The park always has something new to offer. I love City Park.

City Park was absolutely beautiful even in the rain. We only drove through, but it was still stunning with all the greenery and scenery. You can tell it would be an amazing place to spend time when the weather's nice. Definitely worth visiting!

City Park is a huge park in New Orleans. It is easily one of largest parks I have ever been to. The first thing that caught my eye are the moss trees. These trees are massive, with this moss hanging off the branches. It gives a spooky vibe, it isn't wise to touch the moss, as it could cause blisters and irritation to your skin. Unfortunately due to time restrictions, I didn't get to experience all parts of City Park. This Park is home to one of the locations of the New Orleans' legendary Cafe Du Monde. It is also where one may find the Sculpture Garden, which was unfortunately closed on the day we were here. For the youngest park goers, there are a few ways to keep them entertained. There's the Children's Museum, the Carousel, Celebration in the Oaks, which is the Christmas Lights drive through. What's a park without a playground? Of course there a few of them here too! Adults have countless ways to stay fit. There's golf, disc golf, tennis, and a nice scenic walk through this park would do anyone plenty of good. City Park is a great place to play, learn, see, relax and enjoy New Orleans.

A nice park to walk around! There is a sculpture garden, museum, Cafe Du Monde location, and a mini boardwalk area near the lake.

But it was one of the many structures damaged in the aftermath of Katrina. It was actually knocked off it's base and landed at an angle. There was a huge fund raising effort to rebuild the lighthouse and the create the education center. When I passed by today, the lighthouse was gated off and closed but it's still pretty to look at from the road...or from the Point. Now I'll just have to make it back to see the inside exhibit.

I want to start by saying how excited I am for the development of the entire Oretha Castle Haley corridor. I think in a year it is going to be one of the hottest areas in the city. It took me a few minutes to actually find this place at first. My good ol' GPS just led me to the 1400 block of OCH and left me to find the actual building on my own. Just a note: it's on a corner and I took a picture of the door, so that you can be on the lookout. The venue itself is lovely. It's a wide open space with a nice bar and plenty of seating. There is gorgeous art on the wall and I like that there is a lot of space to move around. Big selling point: the air conditioning here works like a champ. A lot of times you get into these old buildings, and the ac can't keep up with the space, but that was not the case here. Plenty of windows let in the light during the day, which I am always a fan of; I hate going to dark event spaces during the day and feeling like I'm in a dungeon. There is a stage area where students for Big Class read poems. I presume that other performances take place on the stage as well. There are even some sofas for comfy seating as you enjoy whatever is happening on stage or just mingling with friends. I didn't get to explore it, but there's an upstairs area as well. It should be noted that the building is located on an extremely well lit block, so if you attend an event here at night you should feel pretty safe. I look forward to attending more events here and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more fundraisers that may be held here.
