Jeremy, the pharmacist, showed the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I was on…read morea road trip as I was moving west and had been in the ER the night before due to a fall. The doctor called in a rx that had to be filled in the state of Texas. Jeremy was so kind and helped transfer the prescription to his pharmacy. I had hoped to be passing through San Angelo earlier, but was stuck behind an accident in traffic. Jeremy called to check on me as the were about to close. That amazed me! Most would have packed up and left. I pulled in right as the clock turned 6 and he was waiting for me. He went above and beyond on a very stressful day for me.

Because of this I ended up having to get a new prescription for pain meds (from an entirely new doctor that did my second and third cauterizations). The first prescription was filled fine, just extremely slow despite having like 3 pharmacists and 5 techs. Then with the second one 2 weeks later, they didn't have enough to fill the whole prescription so they gave me 1/2 and told me to come back on Thursday after they ordered more. Then when I did, they said it didn't get delivered so they were going to order from a different manufacturer and to come back Monday or later. I go back Tuesday and they refuse to fill it saying they "can't do partials on this medicine" and I was like you're wrong because you ALREADY DID and I pointed to the specific pharmacist who's told me and that the tech went and talked to him. Then it was my "prescription is expired because they expire after 20 days" and I explained no, an entirely different doctor put in a NEW prescription last week like 5 days ago and they insisted it was expired. I come home and look at the bottle and it says "partial refill available until 4/16/21". Luckily I think I won't need the rest because I seem to be healing okay this time but god forbid it was something I genuinely needed. Idiots.

Overpriced like everything else on the riverwalk but oddly entertaining. Obviously there's no actual pharmacy here since it's on the river level with no access to street parking. It's not even your standard CVS. Sure, they have the basics like snacks, cosmetics, etc, but what tickled me were the ducky plushies in cowboy and beaver hats. There are also post cards and $20 phone chargers, one of which I needed since I accidentally left mine at the hotel. Would I come here to buy anything otherwise? Probably not, but it was certainly worth checking out. And the cashier was also very nice. She did ask if I have a phone number with CVS (I haven't for several years now. I wonder if they ever actually close those years old inactive accounts). She also allowed me to simply use the reusable bag from the Alamo we already had with us to save the trouble. Oh and an entire aisle dedicated to Texas and San Antonio. It was a fun time. Also, the shelves could probably stand to be wiped down more. Lots of dust. And what's this? No kitty cats to greet me? Now I'm sad. :( I'd come back just to see them, and they're good for keeping rodents away. So for the cat haters out there, bear in mind they're smarter than many give them credit for as they hunt mice and birds to keep the river walk free of infestations.

The younger lady with the red hair was rude. Customer service is definitely at an all-time low. A…read moresimple "Hello, good morning, how are you?" would have gone a long way. Instead, she just looked at me, I told her what I wanted, and that was it. If you're that tired or unhappy to be there, maybe call out. A little kindness and professionalism make a big difference.
