So far, super disappointed: 1. I always do these globally, this one was on the map near my hotel which is part of why I chose this hotel as I had a short window to do this, but they are so difficult! 2. Went late the day I arrived just to buy a ticket for the next day and get a lay of the land. There is no office near Praça do Marquês de Pombal, 1250 Lisboa, Portugal unlike Apple suggests. 3. The app doesn't allow you to buy tickets and is not user friendly or updated. What a mess in 2025! 4. I'll update this once I actually do the tour. May get on their competing bus as they seem to have their ish together and they go to more places. 5. I asked a driver sitting in a bus for a flyer or if I could ask him some questions and at first he waved me off then her opened his side window and said come at 9am the next day. Idk ‍ 6. They gotta do better. I have traveled the world and man these ppl are the worst of all City Sightseeing Tours I've done!

Broken seats, broken audio, broken expectations.

Maybe choose something else. The grey line one, we noticed as we were waiting and waiting and waiting forever for our bus to come, looked nicer. More modern, more leg room. For our bus ride, the first bus at least the audio worked. Kind of. But it was mostly bad music and very little history. Headphones were not great quality. The next bus, the audio didn't work at all and the bus seats were literally falling apart. I've been on lots of these tours over the years and it's usually a great way to see and learn about a city. Maybe choose a different way to see and learn about this city.

Red #7 Amoreiras... Don't bother. The bus drivers tend to ignore passengers waiting here.

Horrible hop on off bus! Avoid at all costs! This is a poorly run bus service in Lisbon. While some of the drivers are a friendly most are not. The stops are not clearly identified, and while on the bus they do not announce the next stop. You are then forced to listen to the crappy headset and make a guess as to where the heck you are! If you don't push the button indicating you want to stop the bus keeps going. I am especially upset with the fact that while waiting for 1 hour (they're supposed to have a bus every 30 min) at the stop closest to our hotel, the bus driver (who clearly saw us) drove past us despite us waiving frantically at the designated #7 Amoreiras stop. I'm traveling with elderly parents and the 15 min walk downhill on the rough cobblestone sidewalks is just too much for them. The drivers are more interested in socializing with their bus driver friends than providing service to paid customers. Case in point, on the first day we waited 30 min in the hot sun while the bus drivers sat inside a bus laughing and talking story. When another bus arrived one of the bus drivers told us we needed to go to that bus. This is clearly a monumental waste of money and a total rip off for tourists. **update: a few drivers are nice & once onboard helped us with stops.

The infamous Hop on, Hop off bus tour! I saw a brochure for another bus tour with a different company, but when we got to the Marquês de Pombal, a worker from City Sightseeing Portugal approached us with a brochure, and we decided to go with this company because it was cheaper, and I've had fairly pleasant experiences with this company in other cities in the past. Only 18 euros for 2 days, and there were two lines to ride. We did the blue line the first day and got off at stop 6 (Rua do Comércio), as it looked quite lively there by the river. It was nice to walk around and browse the shops. We got yummy gelato from Amorino, and I bought some cool postcards made out of cork to send home to my folks. We accidentally screwed up by jumping on the red line by accident to get out of there and ended up back at the starting point of the bus tour. Oops. So watch out for the sign in the front window, folks! So we had to start the blue line tour all over and rode it to the end. It wasn't that exciting, and I was a bit disappointed at the lack of what Lisbon had to offer. Also, there were some issues with the audio connection, and the sound kept cutting in and out. But at least it was a beautiful sunny day to sit on the upper deck. On the second day, we did the red line tour with the intention of using it as transportation to get bus stop 15 (Mosteiro dos Jerónimos) to go get the famous Portuguese egg tarts at Pastéis de Belém. We made it there okay, but after we got there, it started pouring. Unfortunately, the bus stop wasn't covered, and we got completely soaked while waiting to get back on the bus. When the bus finally came, everyone was sitting at the bottom deck, and it was leaky with lots of drips from the ceiling. Some of the seats were so wet that it was impossible to sit on, so we had to stand in the aisle for a while. Not the greatest experience in a leaky 'ol bus. :/

The tour was merely a 30 euro bus ride with minimal description of the landmarks. I do not recommend.

This "tour" was no different, perhaps even worse than the rest. Honestly the tram did not go further than I could have walked myself, but it did save me from any uphill walks in this hilly city. It also did not take me anywhere that I could not have gone on the "regular" tram which is much cheaper, however I did note that those trams got really jam packed whereas on this tram I always had a seat. The ticket is good for 24 hours and allows you to ride the tram as many times as you like, as well as gives you free access to other modes of public transportation in the city. Personally I definitely did not get 20 EUR worth of valley as I only got off at two stops and on the way back there was a broken down trolley that forced us to all get off and walk the rest of the way, however I did appreciate always having a seat and not having to jam myself onto the public tram.

Before we departed he bought us espressos that we drank together at the counter like locals. We visited two beautiful vineyards/wineries with tastings of a nice variety of red and white (and one "green"!) wines. Our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. We also stopped into Óbidos for a little stroll and lunch. He bought us some traditional chorizo bread on a little whim. Lunch had a nice atmosphere and good service, but the prices were drastically higher than other places we ate on our trip, and the food was a bit plain. This was only a small blemish on an otherwise outstanding day. We would gladly rebook something with Armando on a return visit!

We had an opportunity to experience Wine tours, restaurants and sites of Portugal we would have never been able to enjoy in the same manner as if we had been on our own. Not only is Armando an excellent tour guide and driver, but more than that he created an experience of the Portuguese people and culture that was up close and personal that we all thoroughly enjoyed. He came highly recommended to us and I agree 110% his services made our visit of Portugal all the more wonderful. Muito obrigada Armando

Perfect First-Time Lisbon Experience -- Outstanding Tuk Tuk Tour with Pedro…read more This was our first time visiting Lisbon, and booking a tuk tuk tour with Pedro was hands-down the best way to start our trip. He was absolutely fantastic--extremely knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and able to explain everything in a clear, engaging, and memorable way. His English was excellent, which made the experience effortless and enjoyable. Pedro curated an incredible route that gave us a true overview of the city, perfect for first-timers. We visited highlights such as Lisbon Cathedral, Miradouro das Portas do Sol, and Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, with breathtaking views we never would have found on our own. We passed through historic neighborhoods like Graça, São Vicente, and Alfama, as well as landmarks including Panteão Nacional. The tour also took us to Belém, where we stopped at Pastéis de Belém, and visited Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, Torre de Belém, and Padrão dos Descobrimentos. We also passed through central areas like Praça do Comércio, Chiado, Largo do Carmo, Bairro Alto, and Basílica da Estrela. What made this tour especially valuable as first-time visitors was Pedro's local insight beyond the sightseeing. He shared excellent recommendations for authentic local restaurants, traditional dishes to try, and which were best for meals. We also really appreciated his flexibility. We asked to end the tour at Time Out Market Lisboa instead of returning to our hotel so we could grab dinner, and he graciously accommodated the request without hesitation. If it's your first time in Lisbon and you want a tour that's informative, personalized, and genuinely helpful for the rest of your trip, Pedro is the guide you want. Highly, highly recommend.

If you're considering booking with LAS Tours, stop thinking and start doing…read more While staying in Lisbon, my in-laws and I wanted to take advantage of our Lisboa Cards and take the train to Sintra for a day trip. It was a rather spontaneous decision over late dinner, so at 11:30 PM or so, I start looking into options and came across LAS Tours. I tried to book tickets through their site, and got an automatic response that I will hear back on my requested booking soon. I was hoping to rent three twizy vehicles to explore Sintra in. Since it was late, and I was not expecting to hear back, I found their tours listed on TripAdvisor, and booked one of the three twizy vehicles we'd need for our group. Before I could book the second, I got a response from Luis at 11:59 pm. Yes you read that correctly, at midnight! He helped me cancel the one vehicle I had booked on TripAdvisor, so I could book directly with LAS Tours as I initially intended, which happened to be at a better price than what's listed on TripAdvisor. We emailed back and forth until about 12:45am to go over all the details. Next morning, I arrived in Sintra, and there is Luis! Does this guy sleep? Sonia got us all squared away. She helped create a route for us based on what we wanted to see, gave us restaurant recommendations, and accommodated us in every way possible. Luis then went over how to drive the vehicle, which is incredibly straight forward and easy. The twizy is a breeze to operate and drive. It can fit into small parking spots which is great when you are visiting sites that draw a lot of tourists. The guided audio provides information as you follow your route, and the directions they provide are very easy to follow. But rest assured that if you go off course or get lost, you'll get a call from Sonia or Luis to help get you back on track since they're able to monitor the vehicle's movements. You can lock up the vehicle, get in and out, and spend as little or as much time at each stop. It's truly incredibly easy and smooth. Also, you can purchase tickets directly from LAS Tours for many of the attractions. It saved us a bunch of time at Peña Palace in particular, as we were able to walk right in with the tickets provided, instead of waiting in the very long line to purchase them prior to entry. Everyone in our group had a great time and agreed it was one of the best ways to get around and see Sintra as a tourist. There is no way we'd be able to cover so much ground and see so many sites without a vehicle, and the twizy was the way to go. It's particularly great on some of the narrow roads, as it's so compact. The butterfly doors also mean that you don't have to worry about someone taking out your door when getting in or out, and you can fit into narrower spaces since you don't have to account for door clearance. I really can't stress enough how accommodating LAS Tours was. It's truly one of the best customer service experiences I've had in my life. They really care about making your adventure as enjoyable as possible and take pride in what they do. The little touches, like taking offering to take photos, providing you with a blanket (it was a chilly morning), and checking in with you are so amazing. I can't say enough good things about them! I LOVED Sintra, more so than Lisbon and Albufeira, even though I really did enjoy all my time in Portugal. LAS Tours made that possible. I will be back, and hope to have another twizy adventure in the not-so-distant future!
