Service provided by the driver: 5 stars. Price/fare: 1 Star. The company has a sticker on the passenger side that says that drivers will collect $3 (added to the fare) when trips originate from the airport. Fare: $27.50 + $3 + $2 tip= $32.50 I was going to take an UBER and the fare was 19.25 w/o tip. I was in a rush so I took a cab. My review is against the Company NOT against the driver. read more

Last night, a mother's worse nightmare...11:00 p.m. Florida time my teen age college daughter called, panicked and scared lost on campus with a dead cell phone. A gracious employee of circle k allowed her to borrow a cell phone. With today's technology, she only remembered a couple #s.. mine was one. We were able to get her location and even though city taxi doesn't accept 3rd party calls after dark, he made an judgment call and sent her a car. Flight was cancelled at midnight at TLH so airline gave me 2 $30 vouchers for morning trip to and from hotel. First driver railed the whole way about the evils of Uber. The taxi had a fume leak so I got out light headed. I called for a 4am pickup and the cab never showed up. Dispatcher said he got another call. What's the point of a reservation?! Caught another cab (#40) with fellow passengers in the same situation. Music too loud and convoluted trip back. Driver took all 4 vouchers and turned off the meter so he just pocketed $120 for a $20 fare. Lesson: take Uber. There's a reason they have a better reputation than taxis. read more

What can I say? This is the only reputable and generally dependable taxi company in the small city of Tallahassee. The dispatchers can be a bit querky and some of the drivers are strange, but they will pick you up and get you there for an almost reasonable rate. read more

Booked the taxi tonight before. The driver never showed up for a ride to airport. When I called the dispatcher they promised to have another taxi out there very soon. That driver never showed up either. The dispatcher just kept giving me BS after BS. I have to pay a huge parking fee because of this screw up! Nearly missed my flight! I have to say that I was nervous about booking with them for my early morning (4am) pick up to the Airport. I saw some mixed reviews about the company. The dispatch guy who took my request was friendly enough. I still called back about 2 hours before my pickup time to ensure that someone would be coming. Another guy picked up and was very friendly and answered my question in a nice manner. My driver, Jason, arrived on time which surprised me as my location is in Crawfordville. He was very friendly during the drive and I felt very comfortable. When we arrived at the airport, he wished me a safe flight and I told him thank you. I have not used them, and will not based on the actions of one of their drivers on February 9, 2019 along Blountstown Street in Tallahasse around 10:00 AM. This driver was riding my bumper (I was going about 5 miles an hour over the speed limit, and I flashed my tail lights several times to try to back off); when I slowed down to turn into a local business, the driver used a turn lane as a passing lane and failed to signal. It also looked as though the cab driver was speeding. I realize the driver was probably trying to get the passenger to the destination on time, but did the driver have to drive in an aggressive and dangerous manner to do so? read more

Diver caused an accident, was issued a careless driving citation. My car is damaged and all I want is my car fixed. This is my 7th day without a car. Company, along with their insurance, refuses to answer the phone. Driver still employed and driving as my last conversation with the manager. BEWARE!! read more

I used City Taxi twice in one day and the service was timely, local dispatch was very helpful, both drivers were friendly and rates were reasonable. The only reason I didn't give City 5 stars is that the vehicles have definitely seen better days (mechanical). But, the important things were done well and I recommend them. read more

I am changing my review because I heard back from them and they said they will change their policy. My iss ue with them was (1) they provided me with unreliable time estimates ans (2) they couldn't confirm a driver was on the way. I called like 4 times and waited for them. Each time i got a different time estimate. I am pretty sure a taxi came and ended up grabbing a client that was closer at some point. They did eventually sent someone, but, and after the last call when they told me they couldn't give me a time estimate or confirm anyone was coming I ordered another taxi. Anyways, here is hoping they really did or will change their policies. read more

I had a good experience with these folks. After experiencing a fiasco with another taxi company I called this company for the return trip. I needed a vehicle that could handle 4 adults comfortably and they came through with a mini van. He arrived reasonably quick. The Driver was more than patient with me and helped me locate me and my party since I was not from town and kept giving the wrong landmarks. The ride was nice and he took a great route.
