Still a great spot to find everything thrift! Nancy and I stopped in while shopping in the area and found several new tops for her and a shirt and jacket for me. I purchased a light Adidas sport jacket that's in excellent condition for a little over $10 and nice collard shirt that was green tagged, so it was 50% off (originally $7.50). While poking around, I found some other great quality lightweight jackets by Reel Legends, Nautica and a beautiful ladies vintage soft leather jacket made in Italy by Donna Karan- New York. All-in-all, some really great finds here today. Looking forward to stopping back in next time were in the area. read more

I have shopped thrift city for years, back in the corner by Harbor Freight Store. Lived here since 1972. On 8-27-26, I purchased 4 items, asked about my senior discount. Paid without checking the receipt, went home tried on the clothes, one pair of shorts did not fit. This could of been solved if they let us customers try on there in the store. But being in the hood, the store no longer lets you try on the clothes. Anyway, I found out you have to go back that day to get a refund. I went back, a cashier told me that I had to find another item now or lose the $6.99. Which is like stealing as far as I am concerned. So I went back after I took care of other errands. Found a male supervisor in the back of the store, explained the situation. He said that they had to come up with the new policy of no changing rooms. (the hood). Found another pair of shorts and went to the front to check out, had my receipt and out of no where a black woman came charging up to me telling me to get out of her store. Well I told her I would leave after I get to exchange my shorts. She acted like I was doing something to her, or stealing. Who the hell knows what was going on in her mind. All I could see was she was trying to get even with a white man. It took the cashier 5 minutes or so to do the transaction, why the black lady was having a seizure or something worse. This thrift store has a very huge selection of items, which I loved! I also really enjoy that they do 50% off a certain colored tag. The thing that bothered me most were the prices. Thrift stores are supposed to be very cheap, and this store's pricing felt a bit too expensive for me. That's something I feel quite strongly about, especially as thrift stores are supposed to help out low income families. I felt that $15 total for a shirt and shorts was too much. Although I'm able to afford it, I know that that isn't the case for all folks, which is why I was a disappointed. read more

First time coming to this thrift store in Daytona. It has a large selection of nice women's clothing. I purchased a beautiful black jacket with studs well made looked almost new for $7 And I got a black hat for $4. The only thing that I did not like is that they don't have a dressing room. This Thrift Store no longer exists! This City Thrift location is now a Mattress & Furniture store. I went there the other day because its been a while since I was able to go again, and to my surprise seeing all its products and actual store was gone, it has now become a Mattress & Furniture Shop! My mom had me take her here every time we go into Daytona, and I admit I always wind up buying something as well. Clothes and accessories, furniture, house wares, jewellery, shoes, this place has it all. The prices can be a bit funny, my mom was looking at some 3 ring binders(for her recipes) and they were labeled for 3.50 meanwhile we went to staples later on that day and they aren't priced much more than that. They have these sticker color discount days, senior citizen discount, veterans discount, new years day 50% off sales, etc They have dressing rooms To try on clothes! And they take bags of donations and give you a paper for a percentage off, I believe 20% next purchase. read more

I fell in love with this place. I bought about 13 work dresses, shoes a floppy hat and a handful of nice work shirts for $103. A few of my dresses still had tags for $99 or around that and they were either $15 or $6.97. On top of that, a handful had colors that were discounted that day. So many shoes too! Well the prices seem to be a tad lower than Goodwill...which isn't saying much since both are overpriced for fully donated items. My biggest issue is that it is a store with 80% clothing and ZERO way to try on. No dressing rooms. So it's a gamble when you purchase not really knowing how or if an item will fit. On our latest trip to Florida we had the opportunity to stop at this City Thrift in Daytona and I was pleasantly surprised. Got a great deal on some shoes. The store was very organized and well laid out. Prices were reasonable if you're an end user but were not "reseller prices". Although I did see several resellers scanning items. The associates were very friendly. Nice selection of furniture, household goods, clothes, shoes and linens. As of September 2020 a face mask is required. read more

This was a really neat thrift store! The clothing and accessories were great for all ages! The furniture was AMAZING!!! It made me want to sell all mine and start fresh! There were some cool finds in the miscellaneous area, like Disney glasses and awesome woodwork. Prices were a bit higher, but overall it was worth it since it's organized and clean. read more

We go on tours to other countries and climates. Can get name brands for under $10 that would be $40+ in other stores. Some I would not wear at home but would wear on tours. Also get them for less on senior citizen and retired military retiree days. read more

We went to City Thrift on Wednesday when they were announcing 30% off for veterans. The savings was $20 on a $50 birthday shopping spree!! We also got a coupon to be used within a week for 50% off. The shoes I found were in like new or barely worn condition!! Also some women's tops were new with tags or unworn!! I shall return!!! read more

This has been my favorite thrift store for years... that all ended today. Tracy "the supervisor" was screaming at guests to leave the store and that she wouldn't check us out either way. Tracy was out of line and I've never felt so uncomfortable and unsafe before. Unfortunately I will not be returning and I hope Tracy either gets fired or is a little nicer next time! read more
