My Viator voucher that the Wonder City Tours operator refused to acknowledge.

I can't recommend this tour because of the tour group that runs this -- Wonder City Tours. I have booked through Viator before and have not had any issues. This time, after checking and re-checking how to get to the meeting point and getting there well ahead of time, I was told my booking was for one person instead of two. I had booked it a month in advance and my voucher from Viator clearly stated two adults, paid and confirmed. The Wonder City Tours representative was rude and aggressively informed me that my booking was for one, despite what she clearly could read herself on my booking confirmation. She told me I needed to call Viator because they had made a mistake and paid only for one person and we couldn't go on the tour. At this point I got very upset. This trip to Paris had been planned for nearly 2 years. I was travelling with my 84 year old mother, whose dream it was to see and experience the Eiffel Tower. It was her first trip to France. I explained this to the representative and her response was that it wasn't her problem, Viator had made a mistake. And she told me patronisingly to calm down. I pointed to the $212AUD I had paid, getting increasingly agitated. Finally she took a screenshot of my confirmed 2 adult booking and sent it on as I tried to get hold of Viator on WhatsApp. She came back a few minutes later and said that her company was not going to charge me anymore money and instead were going to "let" me come on the tour for free because Viator had only paid them for one person. That see? I needed to calm down because they were not going to charge me more money, even though they had not been paid for two people. I call this a lie. Which was later confirmed by Viator on WhatsApp, who texted me that indeed I had a paid booking for 2 adults. I will never make a booking with Wonder City Tours again. The representative was unprofessional, rude and had no ability in customer service. Instead of reading the situation and calmly working through the problem, the first thing she tried to do was bully me into accepting only one of us would be able to go on the tour. The incident left me nearly in tears. The tour itself was fine. The guide was enthusiastic and waited for the whole group to catch up. I did not learn too much more than I already knew about the Eiffel Tower and Paris, but that's ok. My mother and I ended our Eiffel Tower trip by having lunch in the restaurant on the first floor. It was a lovely experience and at that point I was truly able to enjoy the tower after its awful start. The wait staff were wonderful and the food was good. But I don't recommend booking with Wonder City Tours. They really need some help in training their staff in courteous customer service.

Not a single person can be seen at the summit of the Eiffel Tower on April 3, 2024, 2:24 PM. Reason: the summit is temporarily closed. usual

I just tonight went on the Midnight in Paris on Wheels tour. First off-- Nicolas was so great to communicate with for booking and confirming the tour. It was easy to contact him by email or Facebook. When you are coming from out of the country, that makes all the difference. Very much appreciated. He incorporates a mix of history, culture, and interesting tips into his tours. We did the photo package, and he honestly made us feel like celebrities. I mean, who doesn't like (or deserve that) every once in a while, especially on a trip to Paris?! It was well worth the money. His friend, Tsil, was on our tour taking photos as well and was so friendly/talented/professional. We were lucky to have them both. This is a straight-up ZESTY tour. It's got flare and funk and is a great way to see the city.

And his ride is special, something you will fall in love with instantly. The latest addition of a see through roof ensured that we were cozy for the midnight ride during the beautifully lit cold evening in Paris for the new years. Nicolas picked us from our hotel and so began the joy ride. He made sure he took us to the landmarks in Paris but along the way he revealed the secrets of the local nook and corner of the city. Every time we stopped by one of the many gorgeous remnants of Paris's history, Nicolas took candid pictures of us. Very quickly we realized how popular Nicholas is in Paris. So if you have any questions at all or need suggestions, ask him. We were also given a fine bottle of champagne which we enjoyed by the Eiffel Tower at the stroke of midnight as it sparkles for one last time for the day. Can you beat that? Ofcourse! We then stopped by a local creperie to devour the best crepes in Paris. Did I fail to mention the looks you get all along as you drive through Paris. It's as if the car is the darling of the city. I highly recommend the midnight tour, be it your first time in Paris or your 10th. I guarantee that you will stumble on something new thanks to Nicolas. You will not regret it. Until next time friend... Au revoir!

We called the tour provider and they said they had notified Viator that this specific tour was oversold and that we were moved to the 3:00 tour. NO ONE ever told us. ON top of that, we were at the location at 2:45 (the time they said we needed to get the tickets at the statue) and NO ONE was there. We called Viator and they said we were considered "late" and they could not refund us, despite the fact that we were way early. at 3:37 pm, we received an email from Viator saying that our tour had changed to 3:00 pm and we needed to be at the statue at 2:45. nearly an HOUR after the time we were supposed to be there, they notified us. However, we WERE there. Viator still claims they cannot refund our tickets. I'll add, the email they sent us had a 3:00pm timed ticket to enter Notre Dame on our own, but we received it 37 minutes too late. This was a once in a lifetime trip, and to miss such a highlight as Notre Dame, after we've taken so much time to plan ahead, and pay nearly $200 for this unique experience.
