Since it wasn't really a race, we were able to really take in the atmosphere of South Beach, enjoy the local charm, and connect with our teammates along the way. The level of service, attention, and care from the staff made the entire experience feel incredibly special from beginning to end. Every staff member we encountered was so kind, welcoming, and always smiling and ready to help with whatever we needed. You could genuinely feel how much they cared about making sure everyone was having a wonderful vacation. Our butler, Putu, was incredible. He was always on time, attentive, dependable, and there whenever we needed him. He took such wonderful care of us throughout the entire cruise and made everything so easy and enjoyable. Our waitress, Joiereel, was also absolutely amazing. She was so sweet, warm, and personable, and she always seemed to make everyone around her smile. Seeing her genuinely made our days brighter, and she made us feel so welcomed every time we saw her. While Putu and Joiereel especially stood out to us, I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about all of the entire Haven staff. Everyone went above and beyond, and their kindness was a huge part of what made this vacation so memorable. I honestly did not want to get off the ship! Think of Cycle Party as pub crawler / pedal bar / party bike / beer bike / pedal pub and one of those activities you do for birthday celebrations / bachelorette or bachelor parties / anniversaries. [Parking]: Street parking only via PayByPhone app. Our party already parked ahead of time for food tour and we just walked to the meeting spot (148 NE 28 Street, Miami, FL 33137). [Price]: Approximately $75 per person with all fees included. A 20% gratuity on the full non-discounted price is recommended and our guides gave me a pink envelope for tip purpose. [Logistics]: Everyone needs to sign a liability waiver electronically. I received a text on liability waiver link and I simply forwarded the link to everyone in my group. Please arrive 30 minutes early for check-in. The tour requires a minimum of 6 people in order for a tour to go out - otherwise the company will find an alternate time or provide a refund. Helmets are available, but no one ended up wearing one. Our guides gave everyone quick safety rules to follow and each person receipted a plastic cup to pour drinks at each stop. *** Sunday 5:30 PM Social Bar Crawl *** Our tour started exactly at 5:30 PM and expected to end at 7:30 PM. Under the normal circumstance, the pedal-powered party bike starts and ends at the same spot. However, our party parked our car at Wynwood Garage (311 NW 26th Street, Miami, FL 33127) and the fourth (and the last) stop was literally a block away from the parking garage. I told our guides and our party left at 7 PM instead of 7:30 PM. Our party bike stopped at the following four stops: [SuViche - Sushi and Ceviche]: Our group waited more than 20+ minutes to finally receive our drink orders. [Gramps & Pizza Tropical]: It was a dive bar and the only stop that offered pizza. [Buro79 Wynwood]: This stop felt more like an art gallery/gift shop visit with a mini bar. It was at this stop I learned that the pedal-powered party bike can actually be driven without anyone actually pedaled. [Miami Mojito Company]: It was our last stop and this cocktail bar played really loud music. *** Overall our guide (aka driver and also our DJ) played some good old classic dance floor music as well as Latin dance music. Unfortunately most of people in my group weren't heavy drinkers so we probably didn't get the most out of Cycle Party Miami. The other group who came from New Jersey to celebrate bachelorette party appeared to have a lot more fun. The pedal bar was solid, but ultimately it just comes down to who you are hanging out with while doing this activity.

It's my first time doing something like this and I didn't think much of it before coming to the event. Man oh man, was it so much fun!! Literally more fun than I expected. The event lasted 2 hours. Let me just start off by saying how amazing Uzi's energy is! Before the party even started, he already had music blasting and he was dancing! I love it! When we got to the location, a beautiful lady named Fader greeted us. She told us how everything works. We all checked in with her one by one and grabbed a cup for the drinks. Basically, it's a bicycle bus type of situation where multiple people would pedal to get the cycling bus moving. The main person controlling the cycle bus is Uzi. The cycle bus takes us to many stops where there's a bar. Some of the stops includes a gift shop where you can buy snacks, clothes, jewelry and much more. We also stopped by a food place. The bride to be was craving for some fries and so Uzi helped us find a place that serves fries. Uzi and Fader helped us take care of our trash, they took our song requests and even danced with us on the cycle bus. They even have a portable charger in the bus if you need some extra juice for your phone! What a great way to sweat off the drinks so that you can drink some more lol. It honestly was such an amazing experience and the customer service is nothing like I have ever experienced before. What really made it so memorable and amazing is Uzi and Fader. I was surprised that they don't own this business because they're so good at what they do. They really listened to us when it came to places we wanted to stop at to take selfies. They both made sure everyone came back on the cycle bus before moving onto the next destination. They are both super nice! Uzi even helped us take a bunch of group photos and videos. It was so much fun riding the cycle bus around the city, just jamming and vibing to the music. We had people recording us, cheering at us and honking too. We all felt so alive and had many laughs! Fader went above and beyond with her service! One of the girls dropped her phone and it landed right under a car that was about to drive forward. Honestly, if it wasn't for Fader, her phone would have been destroyed. She noticed the phone right away, stepped off the party cycle bus and then gestured the car to hold on/wait. She picked up the phone and handed it back to the girl that dropped the phone. Fader also went above and beyond by suggesting a place where we can go to have dinner. With such a huge group of girls, it isn't easy finding a place to eat. She suggested we go to 1800-Lucky and even took us there after our cycling ride was over. What an absolute sweetheart she is. I cannot recommend this service enough! If I have the opportunity, I would definitely do this all over again!

You staff in the terminal was nice and helpful The stateroom was adequate. We like inside staterooms due to the darkness of the room during the day and loving a good nap on vacation. Unfortunately, we were in room 8104 and it was the loudest room I have ever been in on a ship. It was crazy loud, including what sounded like some kind of ship repair going on with banging for hours and a loud saw cutting something (maybe a grinder?). Ridiculous amount of noise, day and night. I won't blame the ship for the drunk girls at 3:00am shouting in the hallway and banging on a door. Our room was serviced once, in three days (Fri-Mon). The food was disappointing to say the least. I have Celiacs disease and your food safety is awful. The only place I saw in the buffet that even mention gluten was in the Gluten Free Bakery section. Not a single other thing mentioned any allergy warning to gluten. I saw sporadic mentions/listings of nut and milk allergies throughout the buffet, but that was not consistent at all. I spoke with no less than 10 staff members about gluten in certain dishes, and not a single one even knew what I was talking about. Your food safety and allergen training is either awful or non-existent. I somehow ate some gluten and spent all day Sunday in horrible pain after beginning the horrible process on Grand Stirrup Cay, vomiting and other "fun" activities, leaving the island to come back and be in pain all day in my stateroom. Even if all that wasn't the best, the food was mediocre. I ended up eating eggs and bacon for breakfast and whatever chicken I could find to eat. The steak at the main dining room was passable at best. Another less than favorable review is the fact that you don't offer free drinks in the casino. I am sitting there betting a $60-$100 a hand at a table and being asked to pay $25 dollars for a bourbon and a Diet Coke. That is ridiculous and I would never have booked the cruise had I realized that in advance. What a terrible policy. Disembarkation was fine. We waited around for an hour or so before getting off the ship. I would like to give a shoutout to Anita, the bartender at the Mojito Bar. She is funny, engaging, delightful, and a great bartender. She was the highlight of an otherwise not-so-great cruise. The Ice Bar is a very "cool" experience, but the check-in was very hectic and took too long. The advertised $15 cover charge was actually $20, not sure how that happened. But I would recommend it and the bartender was very nice. The inside is gorgeous. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this ship or NCL. This was my first and probably my last cruise on NCL.

The amazing drink package, speciality dining, and shows and events that take place you will get your monies worth. There's always something to do, eat or drink on NCL!

We sailed from Miami to Puerto Plata and Bimini, and I was impressed from start to finish. THE FOOD was the biggest surprise. It was genuinely incredible. We tried most of the signature restaurants, with Extra Virgin being a standout. Even The Galley impressed me...ramen, tacos, burgers, sushi, ice cream, bagels, everything felt fresh and elevated, not like a typical cruise buffet. The ship itself was beautiful, modern, and spotless. They were even doing maintenance while in port. The shops, casino, entertainment, and overall vibe were all excellent and very social. The cabins were also amazing. Everything is controlled through a tablet, lighting, temperature, service requests, dining, maintenance...super convenient and modern. Embarkation and disembarkation were shockingly smooth. Getting on took longer than getting off. Disembarkation was especially impressive--we just walked off the ship with no lines or stress. DRINKS: Virgin uses a Bar Tab instead of drink packages. I bought a $350 tab with bonus credit and it lasted about three days of fairly heavy poolside drinking. Cocktails were $11-$16, which felt fair. It also covered non-alcoholic drinks, and I had great coffee and iced lattes every morning. I basically lived by the pool. The bartenders were fantastic, and the pool deck had a great energy all day. Scarlet Night was a highlight, super fun club night, though the DJ definitely needed to read the room a bit better. I also did three spa services (haircut, facial, massage), all excellent. My only complaint is that spa treatments don't include access to the spa facilities unless you pay extra, which feels like it should be included given the price. In Puerto Plata, we did the waterfall excursion, about a 40-minute drive and 45-minute hike, then sliding and jumping into waterfalls. Lunch was included afterward. Definitely worth it if you don't mind a bit of activity. Bimini was beautiful, and I loved that the wristbands worked at the beach club bars. The only downside was timing...the DJ didn't start until 1:30 PM, so we spent hours waiting in the sun and left before it even began. Starting earlier would improve the experience a lot. Overall, Virgin really nails what they're going for: great food, modern ships, fun entertainment, and a social, energetic vibe. A few small tweaks, but nothing that takes away from how much I enjoyed it. I'll absolutely sail with Virgin again.

I sailed on the Scarlet Lady for a 5-night cruise out of Miami, with stops in Key West and Bimini. Pros: - Virgin really puts thought into the solo traveler experience. I received a welcome note in my cabin with details about a solo meetup on day one, which made it easy to connect with other travelers and dedicated crew members. - Black Friday deals made it possible to book without paying a double occupancy supplement, which is a huge win for solo trips. - The option to bid for a cabin upgrade was a nice perk for securing more space and a better location. - Dining reservations for the more popular restaurants can be secured once you board. If you miss out initially, you can still join a waitlist directly at the restaurant. - Being able to go straight to your cabin upon boarding was super convenient, and my luggage arrived within a hour. - The sail away party, complete with unlimited champagne and high-energy music, really set the tone for the trip. - The food options were a highlight. Between the rotating ice cream shop, late-night pizza spot, Opa Hour tapas, and The Galley (the avocado toast and desserts had a serious hold on me), there was always something good to eat. - The PJ party was a whole vibe. The DJ kept the energy up with a diverse playlist that had everyone engaged. - The balcony hammock in the cabin is elite. It's the perfect spot to unwind, and a nap is almost guaranteed. Cons: - The pools are on the smaller side and not very deep. - The music playlist can feel repetitive at times. I noticed the same songs playing in the same order two nights in a row. - The complimentary Wi-Fi is inconsistent. It worked fine for scrolling, but streaming apps like Spotify were a struggle. - While most of the staff were great, a few interactions felt less than welcoming, which stood out. - The beach club in Bimini was overcrowded. By the time I arrived around noon, finding a lounge chair was a challenge. Overall, there are clearly more pros than cons when it comes to sailing with Virgin. While I'm still not fully sold on cruising as a whole, this experience definitely shifted my perspective. I'm already considering another Virgin trip; it just might be the one that converts me.
