Came here last night to celebrate my friends birthday and we had a blast. We were a group of 4 which was the perfect size for this place. Activate is basically a big arcade where you use your body to play the games. There's some more active games than others, but you'll definitely get a workout in here. The check in process is pretty quick, just make sure you fill out the waiver and make your account prior to showing up. Once you arrive, they'll check you in and give each person a player wristband as well as a wristband for a locker for your stuff. You'll link the wristband to your account and then you're good to go back and play. When you go in the back, it's basically a big dimly lit room with lots of game rooms. You walk around and it has the name of the game room. Each room has multiple different game modes you can play in it. Each member of your group scans their watch and then you choose which game mode you want to play and then enter. If someone is in there already it'll have them finish their game and then kick them out and it'll be your turn. They also have instructions on how to play each game on the screen. Once you enter the room, they don't really give you any instructions on how to play the game, so it sometimes took us a few tries before we got the game down. If it's busy and people are waiting for the game, it'll only let you play 1 round before it'll make you exit so the other people waiting can play so definitely try to go during the week or during slower times so you have the possibility of staying in the same room longer and playing games continuously. If no one is waiting it'll let you play on forever basically. It is pretty dark in the game rooms/walk around area so if you have bad eyesight just a heads up on that. Also if you're sensitive to bright lights there are some rooms with super bright lights. All in all I had a great time here, my friends and I did 1 hour and it was perfect, but if you're going during a busier time I recommend doing the 90 minute session. read more

this place is so cool! i've never seen anything like it and genuinely feel its way more worth the money then a place like dave and busters! when we first got there, the employee at the front guided us, as it was our first time. she was super sweet and later another employee showed us personally how everything works, which is appreciated bc it's unlike anywhere i've been. it wasn't packed but i could tell it might be annoying if it was; we didn't really have to wait and all the rooms we so fun and different idk! my fav was the basketball one, where you had to memorize colors. basically, go try it out, literally nothing to loose and all to gain. we did the 1 hr and i wish i would've done the longer one... so so fun. makes me feel like i was on squid games fr. read more

So much fun! Came with a group of 8. Once inside you can pick from about 15 rooms to go play inside of. Each one of those 15 rooms have about 6-8 different games and levels to choose from, so in other words.... it's impossible to play all the games they have to offer. This experience is so immersive and fun for teens and adults. The games can get a little tricky to understand and due to the build of it, it's truly better for kids like 10 and up. For the price, it's so worth it. Will definetly be coming here again. Great spot for date night, or large groups. read more

Came here with family for the first time and did not known what to expect. Reservations are needed. Check-in was easy. They have lockers for belongings, which was nice. The staff is extremely friendly. Specifically the guy who helps clarify how to play each game. He really took his time showing us the rules. Apologies for not recalling his name. The games themselves are fun. Short but fun. I would say this is def geared more towards kids but adults can certainly have some fun here too. There are 14 rooms and each room has about 5-6 different games you can choose from. Each game has 10 levels. You can go to any room, play any game and any level at your leisure. I'm warning you, you will get a full body workout, especially if you play one of the lasers game! They maximize each room because while the games sound similar, they aren't. When you're in one of the rooms at Activate, you feel like you are in a very competitive game show with the lasers, hiding, control or mega grid. FUN but a good workout. I discovered this place after seeing a TikTok video. Decided to visit for a date night. It was easy to book a time slot online for a week night. I arrived 15 minutes early was given a band for the locker and the game room. It wasn't crowded the night I went, mainly adults were there. I enjoyed all the different games rooms and the game options. Make sure you read the instructions before entering the room because there's no instructions for all the games when you enter. Activate Pembroke Pines is NOW OPEN!!! A fun interactive place for kids and adults. They offer 60-minute or 90-minute experiences. They can also accommodate large groups. Activate promoted their Grand Opening with FREE event days on 8/6-8/9. They allowed you to sign up for as many tickets needed for 8/6-8/9 and you pick your time slot. They offered slots every 15 minutes. Amazing deal. Apparently they do this for all their Grand Openings and market the free first few days. What a smart way to get exposure! Our friend shared with us so I secured 11 tickets for 4pm on Thurs 8/7. We also had more friends sign up for the 4:15pm time slot since 4pm was sold out but they were able to play together too. Close enough in time. So much fun getting all our kid's friends together for a fun play date. Adults played too. We had about 20 people total!!! This new spot is located in the Pines City Centre by Outback Steakhouse and sits between Suite House & Co. and Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming. Make sure to have everyone sign a waiver ahead of time and create a Player Name, this saves time. Arrive 15 minutes before your designated time as it's a process to sign in, at least with a big group. Check in at front desk. They scan your barcode from email confirmation. They give you wristbands. Go to kiosk and have each player activate their wristbands by entering email used to sign waiver and create Player Name. This will pull up your info. Select player and scan wristband to activate for game. This allows the system to keep track of your points, coins earned and shows where you place on leaderboard, Once everyone is ready to play. They go over some quick instructions and then send you into the hall of micro rooms. Here you will go with groups of 3-5 players, pick a room, pick a game, choose level of difficulty and enter room. There are so many different interactive rooms: lasers, grids, hoops, photo booth, control room, strike, portals, scan and so much more. I think about 14 rooms total. Very organized, fun and a workout!!! Lol. We had a blast!!! Thank you to the entire Activate team for being so patient and helpful throughout this process. Aliyah helped us check in. Robin was the Team Leader and helped their team and answered any questions/concerns. Myeva was very patient trying to get our big group to calm down and listen to instructions. Haha. A big task in itself. Mitch was wonderful helping us navigate the game rooms and answer any questions the kids had. Princess was also great in assisting with my additional wristband as we had 2 players who wanted to play by themselves but needed an extra player with minimum 3 players in order to enter the room. They can accommodate 2 players specifically but you have to let them know to set it up that way. It was hard with our group since we had like 20 players! For starters, this place gets busy even when it opens. Make reservations! There are 14 rooms where you are throwing balls at a screen, shooting basketballs hoops, to dodging lasers and avoiding light up tiles. This establishment is clean and well made. $30 gets you 1hr $40 gets you two. Just get the two hours so you can have time to play all the interactions. All the rooms smell good and are clean. You will sweat and you would want water. They don't sell towels or water. Bring your own as they have lockers for free. They give you wristbands which you return later to check your score which you earn coins for their website to buy gear. I'm not doing any of that, this was exhausting. 2hrs of non stop action, maybe bcuz I'm overweight it was a struggle lol. 5/5 this place rocks. Go with your kids or significant other for a date. Activate is such a fun activity to do in the Pines area! I've been here a couple of times and each time has been such a great experience. Fair warning, you will be working up a sweat here so prepare for that along with having a great time! It's pretty easy to book a spot online before going but you can also chance it and try to see if they have something available upon walking in. I do recommend booking online to see how many available spots they have during the timeframe. You can book either a 60 minute or 90 minute experience. 90 minutes might sound excessive but it'll fly by! Once you're there, the staff is friendly and helps you along with the process. You sign up on tablets to activate your wristband and you're given another wristband for a locker for your group. Definitely put all of your stuff in here (but you can keep your phone) as you'll be active during your time here. Once you are signed up and put your stuff away, you go into the area with all the rooms and the staff walks you through how it works. The rooms are so much fun and there's a variety to choose from. From hoops, to a laser room, and a personal favorite is the grid. You can have anywhere between 2-5 players per room and it's a great time! Laid out like a $2 garden tool, ok! Your girl was tired! I took my son and his bff here as an activity to do since he was staying with us. Since they are under 14, I had to participate hence me being tired, LOL! So they have multiple rooms. We spent most of your time in hoops room and this shopping game. We racked up points! The laser room almost took me out as it required frequent bending and crawling to dodge the lasers. Oh and the grid game. Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper fun!! I came to this place on a Friday at 9:30 AM with a small team from work and we had the best time at this place. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the manager I believe her name was Maria and she got us set up and ready to go and explain to us all the details and instructions in order to play. She provided us with a locker which was free and from there we went inside and we got things going. We did an hour of playtime and by the end of it I was sweating. I felt like I went to the gym. I had so much fun at this place. I highly recommended it was clean. The atmosphere was great. You feel like you're in a game room and the customer service was 10 out of 10. Once you sign the waiver and set up your account you can use a blue wristband to open up one of the lockers. Put everything you have in the locker touch again with the blue wristband. BEST PLACE TO HAVE OPENED THIS YEAR!! The place is VERY big with enough rooms that even with 50 something people at 9pm at night, we were able to do all the games we wanted. The rooms are set up in a way that if someone clocks in to play a room, they either go in and start or wait until the group inside is done with their round. ACTIVATE sets it up in a way that if someone is inside the room and someone clocks in to play that game, the group inside can only finish the round they're on and then are required to leave.
