During a recent training run, 17 miles, which I had planned from uptown to Coney Island I had a bit of an accident. At mile 12 I had to jump over and avoid clobbering a small kid on a scooter who lost control and came right at me. My head hit the edge of the sidewalk and curb which resulted in a gash above my eye and numerous abrasions. As stubborn as I am I wiped the blood off my face, took a few minutes to make sure I was ok, then completed the run. Took a different route to end right by this CityMD in Brighton Beach. The care I received here was terrific, from the front desk, to the nurse who assisted, and the doctor who stitched me up. Ended up with six stiches which has healed up nicely. Clean facility, they got me in quickly, and accepted my health plan provider with just a small co-pay. Very professional and courteous staff during my visit. read more

I don't recommend this organization, I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for one drug test

I've been here a couple of times when I wasn't feeling well so I could avoid going to the ER. I try to pre register online so I don't have to wait long if there is a line. The first time I came I got a Covid test which was negative, it was in the evening and the place was practically empty. The second time I came I had some worsening cough (outside of long covid) and wanted to be screened for rsv and flu. I was taken back quickly both times. Met with a PA first and then the MD second. The second visit took a little longer and the MD was very nice and took his time talking to me to understand my history. Both visits were covered by my insurance. read more

This location was very disappointing. I have been here twice. The first time for a covid test, which took about 2 hours of my day. Surprisingly, mask wearing was loosely enforced, with some staff wearing them as "chin diapers". Poorly organized, brusquely directed to check in with an IPad by staff that was more interested in gossip. I thought it was just a busy day, but I am often too forgiving. I returned here another day seeking examination for an injury, but received literally no care other than a vitals check. No examination, nothing. Physician's Assistant lied to me, saying that they could not offer me an X-ray; overheard gossip indicated that the technician simply did not come to work to that day. Nothing more than an expensive insurance mill that overcharges and does not actually provide care. read more

I honestly don't know why this CMD has only 2-and-half star rating. I know that my experience has been nothing but positive from reception, to physician, to nurses and X-Ray tech. While I found all drs I've encountered over the years to be pretty good the absolutely BEST one is Dr. Rashidov. He is a true gem. What a wonderful, caring, well-mannered, professional!!!! He is a gift from God to this community. If he had his own private practice the line would stretch outside. He's just wonderful! The girls at reception are very polite and nice. Now.... I know it's impossible to make everyone happy 100% of the time and some people are just problems in themselves. I think it's unfair to be so hard in this place considering the rudeness they have to put up with daily! read more

If the facility known for Covid testing is not doing Covid testing, I think that it makes sense to place that information somewhere and not just have people come in when they aren't feeling well to find out. I called 2 times and nobody picked up. The automated machine did not reflect this information. read more

Took my sister to be seen by doctor, we were told she is dehydrated and need an IV but two doctors both of them could not get the IV injected. They dint know how to start it. They poked needle in one arm tried to start but could not and then went to start the process on another arm and then they just go like, oh you actually don't need an IV you are okay. Just drink this water. read more

Best Urgent care I've been visited!! Doctor Rashidov was extremely nice, and took a very good care of me and my sprained ankle- I had kind of severe sprain - couldn't walk for a week! He and the Nurse responded all of my questions nicely and clearly and gave me bunch of useful recommendations! I'm very grateful and feel much better! Front desk was really nice as well!! We had visited this site on with other family members. When me and my children were inside the examination room, the staff that entered the room never introduced themselves until we asked but it was only MA who I asked. I had to find out only after that we were seen not by MD but PA, and it is a big difference. PA never identified himself as with his title nor his name. Very unprofessional. If I would know I would request MD. After my visit was over, mine and children, I went over to the next examination room where my parents were and as soon as MD walked in, she introduced herself with title and name, which is appropriate and professional. Otherwise, Front desk, only Russian speaking girls Kate, which I didn't need, were Professional and very helpful with electronic sign-in help and the rest of time in the office with other matters, and very welcoming, professional and attentive office manager Boris with best manors. the rest of the front desk who were there acted very unpleasant and ignorant. So, our experience was 50/50. It was fast and we had what we came for but professionalism should be at the level. Also, it should be a routine of things you get with check-up, and there was no standard and things that you need when you seeing at medical facility. Me and my children did not get any but CoVid check. My parents did. Is that because of the initial Result Negative or Positive I don't know, but every PT should be treated the same. I just called to get some information before coming to this place. My wife is pregnant and suffering with moon sickness which is why she's weak because she can't take any food down or water. With the last pregnancy she took IV to replenish her system and been able to eat and drink. Therefor, I called to ask if they practice such things. I was told by the front desk lady right away that she needs to see the doctor and doctor will evaluate if she needs it or not. I just asked her to ask the doctor if he/she practices this to which she just hung up on me. I called back to tell her that I got disconnected and she acted like nothing happened. Told me if anything I wanna ask I should speak to someone from some other department. Wait, what? It's a simple question and they make it complicated. It's so sad, they can not handle just a simple question. Very poor customer service. I hope doctors are good at least. read more

Last year in August I went for a covid test because I had a cold due to a covid vaccine shot. I told the doctor Tanya I believe that was her name that I was nauseous due to the vaccine shot. She wanted to do a urine test. Is she for real. It was a side effect. The woman is rude. Get rid of her. In February of this year I went for a covid test. I was given a paper of my results but the name was different than mine. I told the girl at the front desk that she gave me someone else's results. A doctor came out and I told him what happened. A girl who gave me the test told me that is the name that I gave her. I think I know how to spell my own name. Thank you very much. This place is a disaster. read more

Would have given this 5 stars, but the review here is not solely based upon the patient / physician encounter. The provider was TANYA SHNEYDER DO. I would give her 5 stars. NOTE - I saw her in July 2021 and she told me she could not treat me and that I needed to go to the emergency room. She called an ambulance for me and I was taken directly from CitiMD to the hospital. TODAY, at this visit, she prescribed an antibiotic for a cat bite. My cat :-( So why 3 stars ? 1. The two self service kiosks are to close to on another. Less than 3 feet apart. That's not great for privacy and during COVID there is no social distancing. Also, 2 self check in Kiosks the two times I have been there, should be upped by at least 1 in another area of the waiting room. 2. When I arrived the two kiosks were being used and it was quite obvious that both people trying to 'register' were really clueless as to how to get things going. However, one person had a staff member assisting her, and that was just taking an endless amount of time. At the other kiosk, this guy was now screaming into the waiting room area for his wife to help him, she had gone outside, he went out to get her. SO MUCH for URGENT CARE! 3. The lady who was getting assistance from the staffer, insisted that the woman enter the info herself while the staffer told her what to do ... she hgad to go into her pocket book 3 x's which took up endless time. Finally, 4. They finished. BUT, instead of moving away from the kiosk, so that I could get to it, the staffer continued to 'educate' the patient at the machine... So I said something, ... if you need to talk further, can you do that else where and free up the kiosk, this is urgent care! I stated... She told me not to be rude. I worked in health care administration my entire life. What they don't have here is some one who has an educated eye in the medical services setting to see these simple things which slow down the process and actually create a level of anxiety for the patient, just prior to seeing the doctor. Once that 18 minute wait for the Kiosk was over, I had a seat in the waiting room and was called in within 5 minutes and directed into the room by a guy who said absoloutley nothing to me except calling my name in the waiting room. He was down right COLD. 30 seconds later a young lady came in, introduced herself as the medical assistant giving her name etc. She was very professional. Then the doctor came in. why citymd is not getting paid for the earache they had no clue how to diagnose, yet they advised a treatment to aid in the prognosis--which did more harm than good. they (doctor, nurse, intake) all said "you won't have to pay unless you come back" while sending me to buy eardrops (nice guess!!!)--but why would i come back if they had no clue the first time? before the doctor even saw me the nurse said "he'll probably advise eardrops" and when i replied "ridiculous" she then added that the co-pay would likely be waived (note: i had a high deductible plan so the fee would be full, not a co-pay; yet still the fee they said i wouldn't have to pay). then the doctor saw me, had no idea, and said the same as the nurse: you won't have to pay unless you come back--oh, so then i can pay for you not having any idea? the advice i needed was "see a specialist" (after the eardrops only caused internal itchiness--ugh--i kept up with my home remedies, i.e., cured myself, and eventually felt better--no more eardrops!!!). the nurse, after taking my bp, asked if my parents had issues with high blood pressure--my parents aren't the patients, and are the cause of my high blood pressure--and then, she never told me specifically that i had an issue!! i had to go to the pharmacy to find out i had hypertension, and since, voila, and lowered my blood pressure on my own. the intake also, in a patronizing manner told me i wouldn't have to pay, then offered a prescription for the eardrops in case i wanted reimbursement from insurance. i said, "no thanks" because that is idiotic, and the women at the pharmacy laughed: "we don't take insurance for that!" that is something the intake person at citymd should know--otherwise... malpractice. first, by the doctor: prescription with no proper diagnosis; second, the nurse: does not tell me about dangerous high blood pressure (but how are the folks doing?); third, by intake: the financial aspects of medical treatment are integral to the psychology of the patient, which is integral in healing. yet, the $168 bill came, and they keep calling. for just $65 i can sue them for malpractice in small claims court, and get the legal experience i need at the same time. i think nurse, doctor and intake would be wiser to chip in $56 each and then go back to the oath they probably took as seriously as the pledge of allegiance: hippocrates, "first, do no harm". or, $15/hour at mcdonalds--and no, i do not want fries with that, or ketchup. love, rollerblade mike read more

This is the worst city MD I have been to. I've been really sick for the past couple days. The doctor didn't even fully come in, he just opened the door and spoke to me for about 30 seconds. I had expressed my chest was tight, and that I suffer from asthma. He didn't even bother to listen to my chest. I also expressed concern about my throat hurting, he didn't even look at my throat. He didn't even physically check anything, just spoke to me for about 30 seconds. My visit lasted about 5-10 minutes. I also told him everything I needed, not him telling me medicine I need to take. He just told me I have a really bad cold, and to drink hot fluids, but I know my body this feels more than a cold. So to proceed I told him can you prescribe me tylenol, for my headaches and throat because I know my body best and I know what'll help. He proceeded to tell me " Tylenol won't do anything for you, but if you want you can buy it over the counter". This visit was extremely frustrating because Im always going to city md and I'm usually always satisfied. But this visit was unpleasant, I felt very rushed, and now it's the next day and I've felt worst than before. read more

DO NOT COME HERE! go to the city MD on kings highway. When they first opened up it was great. NOW as of 5/18/19 they have hired so many new staff that don't know what they are doing! I was told after my blood drawing I can leave and get my paperwork. Five minutes later while walking to my car I was called back and the details couldn't be said about over the phone. I come in and the lady in the front tells me I need another blood drawing and l was confused saying for what because I had already did the blood drawing. She brings me to the lady who did my blood drawing and tell me there was another drawing I needed. So now I'm upset because Needles gives me bad anxiety, I asked her why didn't she see that when she was taking my blood the first time she said it didn't show. WHOEVER put my blood drawings into the system made a mistake! I got upset and said no to the second blood drawing and left! Never coming here again. My life is too valuable for someone to be making little mistakes like that! And when I spoke to the manager and told him he said the only thing he can do is apologize! This place is a joke. read more
