This place like any other CityMD has doctors who clearly got their degrees off Temu. I even spoke to someone from patient relations about my unpleasant experience and as expected, their higher up never returned the phone call to me. My mom fell and she was in a LOT of pain in her arm. They took X-rays. The doctor scared her after that by saying that she dislocated her entire arm and HAD to go to the emergency room because she would need emergency surgery. My mom has extreme health anxiety. I had to leave my job and drive all the way from Long Island because emergency orthopedic surgery is serious of course. She gets to the ER at Lutheran and they tell her that her arm is just fractured... that's also after X-ray and a CT Scan. What a HORRIBLE misdiagnosis by the doctor at CityMD. How can you read an xray and not even know the difference between a fracture and dislocation???? I'm not even a medical professional and I'm sure I could tell the difference! I'm tired of the countless mosdiagnosis by these CityMD's but this one was my last straw! And their corporate is absolutely useless! I called an filed a complaint and I never received a call back. It's been 3 WEEKS! AVOID AVOID AVOID. These urgent cares have no fucking clue about anything! read more

Well , it is an urgent care so they just have you in and out. I came here on Saturday I was feeling super unwell. I told the practitioner that I had pain in my chest while coughing. She put the stethoscope to my lungs and said I had an upper respiratory infection. I go pick up the one prescription she wrote for me, I go back home and I started feeling even worse the next day-until Monday where I really felt like I was about to pass out . I went to the hospitals emergency room told the the same thing I had pain in my chest while coughing along with other symptoms, after a long wait they told me that I had pneumonia and I did the right thing coming to them....youre taking a chance going to urgent care. I definitely won't be trusting them with my life completely. The doctors don't really take you seriously, but at least the front desk is super nice, the doctors aren't disrespectful (except for the one time I had a rude male dr) but they definitely don't take you seriously or don't seem to know what they're doing AT ALL. read more

I bumped my rating from 3 stars to 4. Someone from the head office of CityMD followed up regarding my Yelp review. I noticed when I went in, I was assigned a manager to take my vitals and asking about my ailments. When that was done, a nurse and a doctor saw me. The doctor answered all my questions and addressed my concern. The only disappointment part is I asked her to prescribe the antibiotics I always take and she refused. She prescribed cough syrup and nose spray. Moreover, she advised if my condition was to worsen, I should go back to them. Most likely, if the medication won't work, I will be going to my PCP. I did appreciate the service I received. I didn't feel rush like the last time, I was here. read more

I've been here many times before and I've never had a bad experience until September 21st. I suffer from a very mild condition where my blood is always in its highs and lows. A few days prior I had a high fever and could barely move. When I went on the 21st I saw a short Russian female doctor that spent literally 3 to 4 minutes with me then her nurse "Sam" did all the blood work, covid and flu testing. It is now October 1st and I have yet to hear back about my lab work results. I have the CityMD app and I can see my results are in but, I'm not a doctor therefore I don't understand what they are. Every time I've been there I've never had an issues, the doctor spent time with me and actually was concerned about my well-being and I ALWAYS got a call with my blood work results so I don't know what happened this time. I've gotten calls but it was to answer a survey of how my experience was. read more

Just like other yelpers have shared, this place is really a hit or miss. Realized for most of my kids' visit, you can't really rely on them to have an actual doctor on site. They have "PA" on site, which is a Physician Assistant. I've had 2 run-ins with her and both times, I left $50 poorer and lack of real understanding of what's wrong with my child. She then asks me to "bring my son to his pediatrician". Really? If I wasn't so anxious as a parent for my child's well being, I would have taken him to his pediatrician right off the bat, we would just have to wait a day for them to open. But I guess I took urgent care, too literal for immediate diagnosis or help. For adults, your chances are higher. For children, save your money (it's not cheap!) and just wait it out to see your pediatrician. read more

There is a young Indian lady doctor who is friendly enough, but I have not been treated with proper care. 4 hours after leaving there, I was on my way to an actual EMERGENCY ROOM for a wound that did not properly closed, leaving the frightening option of a ghastly scar and possible serious infection. It is the third time with issues at this facility. I will not take another chance on my health and my child's health by returning here. read more

Overall very disappointed with CityMD and their staff, they probably are good at small cases, but if you really require Urgent Care this is NOT the place to go. I was sick thinking I had Covid and they put me on an online waiting list to get a test and after more than 2 hours of waiting , the front desk just shrugged and said there were no more Covid tests and to come back tomorrow. Second time, my friend had an accident and I called and ask if they did sutures for a minor open wound, one of the front desk said yes, I trusted her knowledge and we waited one hour just so the doctor would say they can't perform sutures and we had to go to the ER at a hospital, went to another Urgent Care NOT CityMD and they did the job with no problem, even the doctor wondered why the doctor at CityMD couldn't perform such a simple procedure. SMH, not recommending this place to anyone, just go straight to the hospital, that's what they are going to tell you anyway. They need a better system and better attentive staff members and more knowledgable doctors. read more

Went in two days ago with severe shoulder pain. Paid a $50 copay only to be told, after a long wait, that I needed an x-ray of the shoulder but the radiologist wasn't in that day and that I'd have to come back for the x-ray. Took off from work and went in for the x-ray today, and was told that I would have to check in again and pay the full copay a second time! Unbelievable! This was the same issue carrying over to a new day because CityMD can't provide full staff and they expect me to pay twice! Another $50! No other medical service I deal with asks for copays on follow up visits -- just this one. I walked out. read more

I've been here a few times now during the COVID-19 pandemic. I usually come after work so around 8-9am and there's always a line formed outside already. It's around 20-30 mins once you're inside for you to finish your visit. When I tested positive, they treated me well and helped me with my next steps. After I got over COVID, I returned for my antibody test and got my results a day later. I have no complaints and I'm happy there is a cityMD near me. read more

I don't understand what kind of service they have!!!!!!!!!!! Thought citymd was really good and compassionate about their patients! What a bad service my mom had experienced on Friday!! So my mom went to this brooklyn 86th st citymd site to get rapid test and PCR. She was exposed with someone who was covid positive. A lot of ppl say rapid test isn't accurate. Even once when I went there myself to get tested the PA told me rapid test isn't accurate. The accurate one is the PCR test. So my mom requested to the PA both rapid and PCR test. Can't believe she was treating her own race with such a bad attitude! My mom said she spoke to her in Chinese. She was a Chinese PA probably and told my mom in that this location only do rapid test and there is no PCR test. Then my mom insisted to ask for PCR test bc she knows her daughter (which is me) have done it before. The PA said to her: "it's going to cost a lot!" My mom was like: "I don't care I want to get PCR test done. Whatever it costs I'll pay for it!Pls just arrange PCR test for me." But then in her mind, she was like: "isn't all covid test related are for free and it is at zero cost?" Okay anyways, the girl said she doesn't know how much it will cost to my mom she'll find out. And she left. In the end, the doctor finally came in and did the PCR test to her. If the patient want a "peace of mind" and want to get her PCR test done! For god sake, please let the patient do it! I don't understand why this PA girl was giving such a hard time to my mom! My mom said she was having such a rude and bad attitude! I wish my mom could have given me her name! What a terrible and disappointing situation when I heard how my mom experiences about citymd!!!! She said she will not ever go to this citymd anymore!!!!!! When asked if the patient can see a doctor for fever for 3 days with chills they said no that is still covid related and they would have to come back and wait in a 2 hour line the next morning. Really hit or miss. My biggest miss and my issue is I called about 12:40 pm to 1:00 pm around that time on Saturday I saw a doctor earlier that day I forgot to ask if I can take Advil with my antibiotics and creams prescribed. I called spoke to a woman she was pretty rude on the phone first she asked me why I am calling DOESNT to let me finish and just kept repeating what is your last name. I was on honestly kind of annoyed because I knew she would have to let the doctor know what my question is but she didn't even let me finish. Fast forward to 6 STILL NO CALL. I call back they are closed. I know the doctors are busy but its pretty about patient care and how the front desk handles and delegates. I left a voicemail it is Tuesday no one has even bothered to call me back.... But the actual doctors I saw twice when I was there were nice but It is ridiculous that I was told the doctor would call me back and yet no doctor no nurse no one bothered to just call back and say hey what is the issue or your question or whatever. read more

This has got to be the worst CityMD I've ever been to in NYC. To make a long nightmare story short, I went in for rapid and PCR tests one week I was experiencing COVID symptoms in order to be extra cautious before returning to work. After calling them multiple times throughout the week to follow up about my PCR results and receiving literal, conflicting information from multiple employees, medical and non-medical staff, about how the PCR test is even performed, I was told that they NEVER performed a PCR test in the first place. At that point, I had already missed an entire week of work waiting for a result that would never come and if I hadn't been diligent enough to follow-up after the fourth day once I started sensing something fishy was up, I would've STILL been waiting! When I showed up the same evening I found out about their carelessness to get tested yet again, I was met with even more confusion from non-medical staff and doctors alike, as if it was my fault that they hadn't tested me properly the first time around. It really seemed like their young and untrained staff simply do not give a damn about your health and would much rather blame you, the patient, than take any kind of real accountability for their negligence. Do better. If you want to get tested for COVID accurately, responsibly and with medical professionals who actually know what they're doing, you're better off finding an appointment at your nearest CVS or Walgreens pharmacy. Save yourself the headache, the missed days of work and stress. read more

This place is hit or miss. This past weekend made me realize you can't always win while walking into an urgent care. I went in unable to walk and had severe ankle and foot pain. They did X-rays and said nothing was wrong. But I knew something had to be wrong do to the fact my ankle was swollen and so were my toes but assuming they would know best I took their word. Moving forward to getting ready to leave and I hear 50 cent rap music blasting over the speakers in there while the receptionist laughed and tried playing it off as she hung out with a gentlemen and the other girl on the other computer! Talk about being professional. Clearly you could tell their complete lack of interest. Needless to say the next day I was rushed to the emergency room to find out I was correct all along and there was something wrong. Just be careful when going in here! I really wish they would get it together in there because it's sad to see how they can have unprofessional staff and useless doctors there. read more

Came here to get a COVID rapid test. Came an hour before opening and I was 10th in line, so would definitely recommend getting there very early as the line wraps around the block as soon as the place opens. They are limiting capacity indoors due to restrictions and it was done in a very orderly fashion. After a short wait, was called and taken into a room. Staff was very friendly and didn't make me feel rushed like other places. Rapid test was the only option if you wanted your results in minutes AND you prefer a q-tip only at the front part of your nose. Was made to feel very comfortable during the process even during the blood pressure check (which I dread.) After getting the test and having vitals taken, I walked to the receptionist who confirmed my email and info. Took me 15 minutes to walk back home and I opened my email to find my test results. Very quick and easy process with super-friendly staff! read more

I felt welcome here the moment I walked in. The employees at the front desk were friendly and helpful. CityMD uses self check-in stations, but they're pretty user-friendly. You can scan your driver's license and have most of your information automatically filled in. I needed some help with the self check-in, and the front desk employees were happy to provide it. I needed some stitches in my arm removed, and I don't have a primary care physician or good insurance (because most physicians don't take my insurance). CityMD takes my insurance, which is a plus, because I halfway expected to be required to self-pay. The other, somewhat good news is that it's $125 to go there and see a doctor uninsured. Not easy on the pocketbook, but I've been billed higher in the past at other places - urgent care and regular doctor's offices alike. As you're signing in, you're presented with the option to enroll in CityMD's web portal, where you can access your records from getting treated there. Convenient! It wasn't busy, so I was seen almost right away. A nice change from some of the long waits I've endured in the past at other offices and at emergency rooms, although I'm sure the wait time depends at least somewhat on how busy they are. The doctor that treated me, Dr. Albertini, had a good beside manner and professionalism. Within a few minutes, my stitches were out and my wound was cleaned. I was sent away with a handful of extra bandages. The assistant helping the doctor, who took my medical information and history, was also very nice. I was trying to fight off this nasty upper respiratory infection that my kids passed to me. I hate going to the doctor in general because of the waiting time and the misery of sitting in a dingy doctor's office as a walk in. I decided to give this location a try, completely skeptical of the rave reviews. I walked in on a weekday afternoon before school officially started. There was one patient ahead of me but was in the process of being placed in a room for examination. I filled out a short form, they asked me some questions regarding my insurance. 5 mins later I was getting my vitals taken by the nurse/tech and some basic medical history was taken. a few minutes later I was seen by Dr. Sergey. He seems to be a simple, straightforward doctor. Not overly friendly, yet not cold. I actually appreciate my doctors like that, so I didn't mind. He examined me, took note of some of my symptoms made his dx and told me what I had and what he was going to give me to treat it. And off he sent me. I was in and out in under 20 mins, treated with kindness and professionally. Clean and bright facilities. What more can I ask for! I'm so totally sold and would recommend it to anyone who is in need of urgent care and doesn't want to be treated like dirt at their doctor's office. read more

Staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Office is bright and clean. I came in because I mandolined myself on Saturday during the Asian New Year and didn't come in until then next day. Dr. Hew explained everything to me and was gentle to my laceration. I was so nervous the night before that I might need stitches but he explained he didn't need to and that calmed me down. I got sick a few days ago but it wasn't too bad. I was able to hold out for awhile but had to see someone because i had a feeling this was the starting point of an upper respiratory infection. I a train stop away so I decided to swing by and after work and try the place out. It was a pretty damn good experience. The best part about this place is that its walk-in. Open early and closes late. I get randomly sick with very minor things so its good to be able to just pop in and right back out. The entire experience was about 20 minutes. I got there, filled out paper work (5 min), waited a bit because there were people in front of me (5 min) and then was led to a room where the session began (10 min). Someone comes in to take your general info - Height, weight, blood pressure heart rate etc etc. Then the physicians assistant comes in for the more detailed stuff. I hope I don't sound like a sexist here but my p.a. Emily was beautiful and, when she smiled, I just kind of felt better. She left, came back with the Dr Sergey. He smiled, shook my hand and got right to it. I liked his no nonsense attitude. I told him I didn't use my inhaler when I had shortness of breath and he was like .... Why wouldn't you take it? Thats what its for! Once they wrote me my needed prescriptions, he went to get me some meds, the p.a entered a few more notes, smiled (which made me feel much better) and I went out to pay. If anyone is wondering, they use EMR. Their equipment is pretty on point. The place is immaculately clean which is a big change from the normal chinese doctors I visit. In case anyone is wonder, the bathroom is HUGE and clean. I would definitely come here again for my random colds but would definitely stick to my primary health care provider for the regular stuff. I'm told CityMD is equipped to deal with bloodwork and other labs so I guess if I get into some shit and can't get to a hospital right away, i'll swing by here. read more

The drs are nice , pleasant and thorough . The Nd assistants and all clinical staff were very nice as well. The front staff can use some customer service training for their unpleasant services . I was not welcomed warmly from the minute I came in. Very cold and inconsiderate for people who are not feeling well . The 2 girls in the front did not smile once to me or any of the patients walking thru the doors but did laugh and snicker to each other . Working with patients myself I know how much appreciation my patients give me for my kind and caring attitude. Inconsiderate and uncaring people shouldn't be the face of City MD . People should be welcomed by smiles and empathy from City MD employees. read more

I was standing for a moment and both receptionists just looked at me did not assist or ask me to approach the counter. I decided to go next door to CVS. I walked in for a cough they literally took my blood pressure and listened to my breathing and said everything was fine. I paid $150.00 which is overpriced then 11 months later i get a bill for another $100 after speaking with representatives that have no idea about billing i asked her what the additional charges were for she responds I DON"T KNOW then i ask for an Itemized bill and she asks me WHAT IS THAT? Obviously the business model is not working well for them and their profits are in the garbage like their service and now they are looking for extra money and shaking paying patients down. Be prepared to wait. I came last week to get my titers done for school and paid the $40 copay. So I came back this week to get my forms filled out. I called the hotline to make sure I won't be charged another $40 copay just to pick up my form. The supervision said she would waive it as long as I am not getting anything done. Which i think is extremely fair. I paid the car meter for 1hr (which is an ample amount of time) however I was not out of the clinic until 1.5hrs later. And here's the funny part, I gave them my health forms last week and they ordered all the titers based on my forms (the typical ones, MMR, hepatitis) the lady in the front even scanned the forms into my file. When I came back today, one of the titer was missing and they had to draw my blood again! I definitely would not pay this copay because it is a fault on their part. Not mine. It's not fair for patients to come in expecting all the required labs to be drawn and for the ordering physician to "forget" to put a lab work in. No one wants to be stuck twice for blood! The supervisor was nice enough to waive the fee for me today. For next year, I would not get my physical done here ever again! Atmosphere : clean and nice. They have two check in stations. While the medical assistant was in the middle of asking me for my vitals Magdalena runs in and starts asking me questions WHILE THE MEDICAL ASSISTANT WAS CHECKING MY VITALS. I pointed to my neck area letting her know this is where it hurts. She says in a condescending manner, "That's your throat. You don't know where is your throat?" I used to like coming to this location but I will not longer be doing so. There are other places I can go to where I don't have to deal with such deplorable behavior. read more

I usually hate ER or Urgent Care because of time but this place was fantastic. I was flying out to Cali to see my new baby cousin and found out from the mother she would like me to receive a TDap shot. I called my PCP (out on vacation) and my drugstore wouldn't cover it unless its from a doctor's office. I decided to go to Urgent Care and within 15 mins, I was in and out with this vaccination. I went there today for the first time with a chronic cough, the place was empty at 1pm on a Friday. I was called within 5 minutes and someone took my vitals. I saw a doctor within 10 minutes and was told needed a chest xray. Overall a great experience and Dr Rosentul was very nice and professional, definitely recommended. read more

Long Waits and Incompetent "Doctors" I just received an email about City MD's Memorial Day hours and triggered the memory of my visit and how i forgot to write a review. I walked into this location around 5pm on a Monday in March. The night before I had a piece of steak stuck in my throat and it didn't pass through. I walked in hoping to get some kind of muscle relaxer to help the food along. I was having trouble swallowing to the point where saliva was building up and i kept spitting into the street. The 5 minute wait time estimated on the website turned into almost a half hour. 30 minutes of stepping out to 86th street to spit. There was only 2 people waiting so i don't know what the problem was. After speaking with the first nurse type guy the doctor shows up. Edward J Colucci, Quack MD. I told him my problem and he had another nurse come in and give me an EKG. After being laid flat and not being able to swallow it was over. I found it hard to stay calm due to the overwhelming amount of saliva that was building. Colucci comes in with the results and tells me he can't rule out an acute heart attack and that i should go to the ER immediately. I pushed back and told him that the stress on my heart is likely due to me not being able to swallow or eat for almost 24 hours. He agreed but still wanted me to go to the ER and ask to be admitted and have them run tests on me every 8 hours because "it could be the difference between you having to use an oxygen tank 10 years from now or not". He gave me baby aspirin (which i couldn't take because i couldn't swallow) and was robbed ... errr .. charged 40 bucks on my way out. Complete waste of time. I wound up going to the ER where they gave me another EKG (they didn't think it was serious enough to admit me) and was out of there in a few hours after getting a shot to relax my esophagus so the food could pass. I'd never go to this place ever again. read more
