My buyer called Citywide to finance his doctor home mortgage and Scott Breen was the loan officer. After our 35 day escrow had expired Scott said we could have loan docs the following week on Friday. That didn't happen so he promised just one more week and we would have loan docs. Still nothing. My client's close of escrow had now delayed the sellers close of escrow and they were about to lose their home purchase. Finally my doctor client gave Citywide an ultimatum--produce my loan docs by Tuesday at 2:00 or I will pay cash for this house. Paying cash would have created a hardship but he was willing to do that and refinance 6 months down the road. Surprise, surprise, the loan docs were at escrow by Tuesday at 2:00. If Citywide could produce them in 24 hours why couldn't they do that 2.5 weeks earlier? Would I recommend Citywide for another doctor loan or conventional loan? Absolutely not!! I'll insist on my loan officer in the future. Mary Beth C, realtor. read more
